I really enjoyed the fish and shrimp tacos. The tacos are a bit on the small size, however. The beans and rice were so-so. I added an extra grilled fish taco and chips after my initial order. If you're hungry, you'll probably need at least 3, as I did. The hot sauce that came with the tacos had a nice spicy kick. All were washed down with hibiscus tea. They have a TV inside and will supply a WiFi passwupon request. The guy running the cashier was very friendly and made sure to let me know about the free refills on all drinks. read more

I have been here a few times now and I really have nothing but good things to say! I love the fish ceviche, and the fish tacos are so good! They're comparable to taco nazo, except I think the fish might be a little bigger here, and they are definitely under $2 a taco. On wednesday they have fish tacos for $1, I haven't tried them on that day yet, but I don't mind paying the extra change for them. I enjoy this place, the carne asada was tasty and I don't really fancy anyones carne asada. I am thinking this is going to be my new taco spot, local, cheap, and the staff is really friendly! I go here almost every Wednesday to get my $1 fish tacos. I also buy more to take to my coworkers. They fish portion is not small at all. It's really good when fresh and hot but when it's cold the tortilla hardens up. They have condiments such as lime, carrots and chili pepper. Ask for salsa if you need more heat. It's so busy wednesday that I don't think they have time to clean tables and chairs. The chairs are sticky at the top. It's gross because you're eating with your hands and you just the touched the chair to move it so you can sit down. So bring wipes for your hands....I'm scared to even venture in their restroom. Parking is small. They have parking in the back but if it's full, you need to do a 19 point turn just to get out. This old lady was stuck and put her hands to her face to give up but after 15 min, she was able to get out. I usually park in the parking space next to it or on the street on Elwood. This is my second time coming to this place and I'm already looking forward to coming a third time. Their aguachiles are by far the best aguachiles I've ever had. Their barbacoa tacos are also amazing. My wife had their mixed ceviche tostadas and she said they were delicious. Their customer service is great. Great ratio of fish:toppings; the best part is that they provide a self serve bar for condiments (roasted jalapeños/peppers, lime, radish & more) RESTAURANT / 4.5 -- clean, seating available, TVs with cable I believe, and overall gives you a Baja hole in the wall type of feel. I've always driven by this place but decided to stop by today and I'm glad I did. I ordered the cabo burrito which comes with shrimp, fish, sour cream and pico de gallo. The burrito itself was massive and bursting at the seams. The fish was perfectly breaded and fried and the shrimp was the icing on the cake. I decided to eat outside as it was a really nice day out, they have umbrellas for shade as well that make you feel like you're in Cabo. Only thing disappointing is that they don't serve beer. Taco Tuesday. Stopped by and tried what they had. Fish and Carne Asada tacos with a crab tostada The fish tacos were the best and I saved them for last and I knew they were going to be good! The carne taco was soft and tender, good but nothing out of this world like some places claim. The tostada was listed with fake crab, diced crab(cod) and tomatoes with some avocado. No fish paste to hold it together and it was diced items on a tostada that falls off easily. Not my favorite. The fish tacos saved the day. Crispy and soft! I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE EVER AGAIN. My friend paid for his food using his debit card, and the owner called the police and said he had used a counterfeit bill the day before. We showed the police our receipts but that wasn't enough. The police proceeded to frisk my friend and question where he lives. This was the worst experience we have ever had. There is always the daily taco specials along with the regular menu of ceviche, tacos and burritos. Parking is not great, not be smart and park on Elwood. They only gave me salsa verde so hopefully they offer a red one that's hotter for next time. .I also had a shrimp burrito that was also good. Saturday, June 15th at 5:25pm a young male (short, tan skin) was completely unaccommodating and terribly rude. I wanted to ask about the fresh sea food behind the glass, but he refused to move from the register no matter how long we stood there. I said I have a question and no response. Both my husband and I had to ask him to help us on the other side of the register where the fresh sea food was being displayed. This was his response... "What? What's the matter?" I said, nothing's the matter, I just want to know if you have more of the fresh sea food that usually occupys the empty bins behind this glass case. He said yes and quickly went back to the register. I said wait, can you tell me which ceviche is the mixed one. No response. Finally my husband said she has another question. He came back to the glass case where I then asked, can you tell me which ceviche is the mixed one behind the case, and his response went very sarcastically like this...THE - MIXED - ONE. I'm not sure what he understood, so I asked again, which one is The Mixed Ceviche? He looked confused. I thought what is going on here? Finally I said that's OK, and we just walked out of the restaurant. It was so strange but mostly out of line to answer so sarcastically. As I drove to the next food place I couldn't help but wonder, did that employee have any training? Does this employee know people will have questions about what's on display? I don't know if this employee was over 18, but certainly the job was over his head. It's too bad that customers aren't treated decently when they are supporting a small business.
