First tried a couple years ago during the Dine Out event and it was amazing. Been several times since and have never been disappointed. Service is always superb. Decor is beautiful. Ambiance is chill. And the food is DELICIOUS!

Long time haven't dined out because of the pandemic. I choose here as the first, nothing special just because my husband wants to taste oysters. The crispy calamari is good too.

We had gone to Glow Abbotsford before dinner and ended up finishing earlier than expected. Our dinner reservation wasn't for awhile so we decided to go to S+L instead. We ordered the Truffle Fries, East Coast Lobster Rolls, and the Fried Mac & Cheese Sticks for appetizers. I ordered the Top Sirloin as my entree, with the Lobster Mashed Potatoes and Crispy Local Brussel Sprouts as my two sides. I thought my steak was just okay. There wasn't anything wrong with it but I wasn't super impressed with it either. The sides and appetizers were good though! The Fried Mac & Cheese Sticks are a must-order.. so good!

I came here on a friday and was very impressed. The decor: the aesthetic was very american, trendy 'diner' ish the ambiance was very relaxed, the lights were dim, there were various booths and tables, including bar high tables and spots to sit at the bar. Giving you the option of both more relaxed drink experience or dine in experience. I did not notice a lot of younger people, the crowd did seem a bit more mature but it was very nice nonetheless. The service: very polite, fast, pleasant, checked in often ... the food: didn't have any because went there for drinks only, however the menu seemed pretty nice, had a lot of options and someone told me the lamb popsicles were very good. The drinks: I went straight for the coctails, I had whiskey smash, and some other whiskey one with maple syrp etc. the drinks were very good, presented well, and came in their appropriate glasses (a lot of spots will do all coctails in typical martini glasses which takes away from the experience) was a great little spot and I would def come again.

The service was wonderful and courteous. When I expressed that my dish seemed a bit odd with just a tiny bit of shriveled greens on the side, she Apollo's went to grab me a nice bowl of greens. I also tasted the kids Mac and cheese and it was a bit too salty. I packed it up and will be adding some plain macaroni myself at home.

    Crispy local brussels. Not appetizing

The building is completely renovated inside, it is a modern dark and masculine look. The menu is limited, there is the typical starters, hand heads, pastas, and a variety of meats and 3 desserts. But although the menu says it has options for vegetarian or vegans, it was the subtraction of a sauce or component of the dish not a substitution. It would be great to see more dishes with vegan options in mind. We tried the fried cauliflower, as it is vegetarian friendly and Gf. It is a non spicy cauliflower with light seasoning served with Tzatziki. It is an alternative to calamari, but it could use a spicy dip! Then we ordered the beyond meat burger which was okay, the bun is a little too big for the patty but it was okay. And we also got the Beef Burger, with a gf bun which was a good bun option. The Other Place is a beautiful restaurant that has a lot of potential. I would be amazing to see some bold flavours to expand on what is already there.

On DoorDash - we chose to order from this place over other chain restaurants to support our local businesses and what We got was an outstanding Sirloin steak sandwich with truffle fries. And a Burnt -to-hell- Tennessee Original chicken sandwich. So I decided to phone the manager and he kindly offered to amend the mistake by giving me another sandwich but only if I could go to the restaurant and pick it up. I asked if there was any other solutions and o can't drive right now and all I got was a 'we are so sorry' when I ask if he was letting me eat that sandwich he said 'I'm sorry but yes, we are fairly new in the business and we are trying to figure things Out' . Then, trying to get what I paid for I ask for credit or a refund and he said ' the next time you come to the restaurant mention the incident and we'll make sure we got that fixed for you' - HOLD on ! - Really? The next time I come to the restaurant??? Excuse me sir but I don't think I'm ready to set foot on a place like this after this unfortunate first experience. And I can keep going ... He didn't mind to ask for my name, Or contact info, nor to offering his contact or a reference for a future follow up with my complaint. Then I asked for the number of the Owner and he said the owner will be really busy anyways. So I just got his name . But not a way to contact him. C'mon guys! Realize you're in the HOSPITALITY business not only in the food business. If you want people to consider your in the future, CARE about them and listen to them.

It is the worse hard liquor I have ever bought. Lavender?? No, just some slightly amber gin that I can't even mix with anything. Whitley Niell makes a great Parma Lavender Gin that I first tried in a cocktail in Portsmouth UK. It isn't sold in Canada anymore unfortunately and was only for a short period. That was the reason I snapped up the Roots and Wings gin but I am resigned to using it for cleaning. I did try some of their other products and only the Abisnstine impressed me. I would have loved to have given a great review of their liquor but that wasn't possible. Drinking their cocktails is a different thing as they have a great mixologist. My advice- visit them, get a sample before buying, and buy only what tastes good to you. Everyone has different tastes.

I was the only there since it was 1pm on a Monday after all. Was about to grab to an Old Fashion after looking at their online menu, but was then told that they did flights so that's what I got. The flight; You choose six from a list of about 15. They do primarily vodka, but they do have some whiskey, gin, and even am Absinthe. I was very happy with all 6 and would order them again. I won't really go into any detail about each spirit since everyone has their own preference when it comes to alcohol. What I can say is that their Old Fashioned Spirit was my favorite. The service: The person working at the time was really friendly and helpful. Willing to answer questions about the spirits and make recommendations. The distillery: It's small and due to Covid Protocols they're only accepting 6 people in the building; however, they have a lot of outdoor space to enjoy. Their pick-up truck bar is the most eye catching so that's where we sat. I'd 100% come back here and if I lived in Langley I'd probably make this place one of my go to hangouts.

It's been a long time since I've seen one this creative and extensive. If I wasn't worried about falling over, I probably would have ordered one of everything . I had the Song of the Siren, which was a perfect balance of sweet and tart without being too sweet. I especially loved the hint of white balsamic vinegar. It was surprisingly strong though, so one was plenty! My husband had Le Tigre, which had guava, passionfruit, pineapple, lime and Thai chili tincture. It had just a touch of spice and a really interesting combination of flavors. We both loved our drinks. For food, we started with the ribs and then ordered the pork belly bao buns and the hot noodle dish. The ribs were cooked really well and had a wonderful crispy/fried texture, but they were very lightly seasoned. If you really want to taste the meat, you'll probably love them. For us, they could have used a little something extra. A couple of fun dipping sauces, maybe something like a honey gochujang, would have made them amazing. Our waitress, who was extremely friendly, told us the hot noodles are one of their favorites. They weren't quite for us. There was definitely lots of flavor, but the sauce was pretty rich and dense and the dish had a good amount of spice. We each had about a bite and ended up packing the rest to take home. It sounds like it's a popular dish though, so I think this one is probably just personal preference. The absolute highlight was the pork belly bao buns. I was a little worried pork belly might mean a lot of heavy fat, but these were much more meat-forward, with the perfect crispness around the outside. The flavors were phenomenal and the bao itself was perfectly cooked. Definitely order these! Overall, really good food, wonderful service and one of the most interesting cocktail menus I've seen in a long time. We'll definitely be back.

The entrance is delightfully well-done, and our faces lit up when we walked into the bar - intricately detailed and authentic enough that a '20s dress code could be reasonably enforced. We were seated immediately, and the cadence of service was immaculate: our appetizer came out just after our drinks, and the entrees appeared as we were taking the last bites of the appetizer. But I wasn't thrilled with my selections. The Rum Punch was served at room temperature and the jalapeño popper chicken sandwich was drier than the description suggested. My partner got the Jalisco Fizz, which she says paired well with the mushroom pasta, and really enjoyed the salmon deviled eggs. At $11-14, the drinks are priced well, but the food is overpriced. The jalapeño chicken sandwich was not a $23 sandwich, and a tempting lobster/shrimp roll was listed at $35. Overall Speakeasy Saloon is worth making an evening of. Dress up and sip on whiskey drinks in the low light with loved ones.
