    Chicken Bowl

Ambiance: Super close to the beach and dogs are allowed in their patio. Staff were very friendly and got our dog a chilled water bowl. Food: We had queso which was yummy and the chicken bowl with extra chicken. It was delicious. Would definitely recommend it. Parking: Finding free parking so close to the beach is a bit tricky. It's walkable from the beach and of-course there are paid parking lots all around.

I went here with my family and it was a little pricey but what isn't in Virginia! The food was absolutely fantastic! The whole time I was eating my food I couldn't believe how flavorful and delicious it was. The server was kind however could've been a little faster since it was a slow day... they don't tell you about the added 18% gratuity for dine in checks, they have it written very small on a sign outside. Overall I give a 4/5 because of how amazing the food was. The food is what I went for and it exceeded my expectations. Best meal I've had in Virginia.

Not too sure about this place if it's just average or a bit above. Went here today for lunch and got a lime berry mule to start. They were quick with the service, and my group and I also had their chipotle salsa. The mule was good, not very berry forward, but still refreshing. As for the salsa, it wasn't enough, but had good flavor. Luckily, the chips were seasoned as well. When it came down to entrees I got their avocado crab salad, my boyfriend ordered their steak Philly cheesesteak, and my friend got their brisket burrito. The salad looked great, and they filled the halved avocado shells with a mix of pico, avocado, and crab meat, which was unique and interesting. As for the salad's taste, it was good, I enjoyed the blend of everything. However, I don't feel like I got enough crab. I got minuscule pieces and really had to search for them. When I tried a piece on its own it had no flavor, which was quite disappointing. I mean, it's in the name, you would think you would taste it. Not worth the $20 in my opinion. As for the burrito, my friend said it was good, definitely not a handheld thing though. Lastly, the cheesesteak. It had good flavor, and was a bit messy, not a typical cheesesteak, but nice nonetheless. The meat was sliced nice and thin, and the meat itself was tender and seasoned well. The cheese sauce was gooey and orange, not very fake tasting, and enjoyable. The bread used was soft, crisped, and plump, which made for a good bite. The fries it came with were a good amount and crispy too. They were surprisingly light and airy, not dense, and much like chips, you could keep eating them till they're gone. Something worth noting was that when I went up to see where the restrooms were, my boyfriend noticed one of the male workers checking out my backside, which made me not want to get up anymore after that. As for next time I come here I'll try something else on the menu to see if things are still about average, for now just a little bit disappointed.

We were wandering by the beach and really wanted a hardy meal. I really enjoyed this restaurant because it had high ceilings and lots of space. It also had something on the menu for everyone. I ended up getting the mixed taco platter and was extremely impressed with all three choices, mixed drinks were also very delicious and had the perfect amount of alcohol. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. She adjusted well to people showing late for our party and had no issue separating our checks. We will definitely come in the future.

Mary went out of her way to accommodate us. She even made sure to tell the chef personally about my allergies. The food was delicious, and we appreciated the casual vibe after a long day of traveling.

We stayed at a hotel close by so picked here to easily walk to dinner. Atmosphere was pretty cool and nice small outdoor area as well. I ordered the fish sandwich and the fillet is so big you'd probably be able to make two sandwiches out of it. Husbands got an all meat platter and it was good, just a lot of food. Daughter got shrimp tacos and a side of rice, again pretty good (she's rather picky). Starburst martini was amazing. Best part was our very attentive server! He did an amazing job with our table and taking care of many others around us. Would probably go back and try more things.

We came here for lunch and no one was inside. A couple came in after us and enjoyed a meal and left. My husband and I shared the crab and shrimp dip, which was very good. The tortilla chips were a perfect size. Not too thick or thin. We split the dish All The Meats and got fries and green beans. We enjoyed it all, although there wasn't a distinctive difference in taste with the brisket and pork. I ordered a cactus punch and it was yummy.

Exceeded expectations. Our server Waverly had an awesome attitude and was on top of everything we needed. Food was flavorful but not overpowering. Drinks were strong. We sat on the patio and had great weather and views. Overall wonderful experience!

Mexican place with good bar and decent food options here In VA beach. The jack's classic margarita was a bit too tangy than I like. The wings were ok and the nachos were nice. The quesadilla for the kids were decent snd they enjoyed it. Our server was very courteous and friendly and took good care.

Terribly overpriced. Burger undercooked. Chicken Philly was disgusting. Chicken nuggets had no flavor.

BAD: Not much, a little pricey but if you stick to the sandwiches, given it's beach town, the value is reasonable. Other menu items get into the 30s quick and appetizers are steep. Lager Heads was on the agenda from some restaurant research. Iam glad I tried it - the burger felt like a 1/2 pounder, juicy and seasoned, yet still cooked perfect. The fries are seasoned, very crispy and came with the burger which I liked. They had a great line up of burgers, I'd love to try another. The Knockout burger was fantastic, but the Cowboy burger on texas toast sounded great as well. You'll quickly leave the 17 to 20 dollar range if you leave sandwiches, but the service, the portions, and the quality make it worth a treat. It was February, so I couldn't partake in what looked like great outdoor seating. That's something else I'd like to try if I returned in the summer.

We were able to seat anywhere we chose the booth hightop where we had a perfect view of the ocean water and we even saw dolphins passing through while are stay. The atmosphere is perfect for that more intimate experience for lunch and dinner and the light decor was nice and unique with cozy seating with perfect views of the ocean water . We came during restaurant week this spot was very good from the service the space and food we did their $20 lunch menu which included appetizers and entrees portions were definitely worth the option they had. I did the Caesar salad, a nice light salad surprisingly to start off with the entrée which was their burger and that burger was well seasoned well prepared delicious it's honestly my favorite will be back again for it during the summertime or another dine in plus you can do either the lunch or dinner option anytime during restaurant week the only difference is dinner gives you a dessert and that is $35 per person. The drink was a good choice to pair with our food. my favorite was their orange crush a perfect classic for the beach. Definitely a drink to have in the summer if you want a good crush they got an option with different flavors I did the original orange crush which was light and sweet. Overall a good start to restaurant week and trying something different.

She had always wanted to try it, it had a happy hour menu with food and drinks, so why not. We parked, walked the few feet over, got seated outside, and waited. Our waitress, Taya, was an absolute gem. Only 2 months working there and she was in her element for us. It was quite humid outside but it wasnt uncomfortable. The inside though was big and spacious (the big wall of Makers Mark alcohol bottles was quite a site to see). Now onto the food and drinks: For drinks I ordered their Catch 31 Orange Crush (delicious) and they went out of their way to prepare me a Irish Car Bomb (shot of Baileys Irish Cream in a pint of Guinness) the best they could and it worked out beautifully. My wife just had her favorite Blue Moon on tap and she had no complaints. For food we ordered a Buffalo Mac and Cheese (wife), The Mack (me) and coconut shrimp (share). The Mac and cheese my wife had blew her mind. The couple bites I took I could see why. The buffalo chicken on top was melt in your mouth tender and the cheese sauce balanced the spice out nicely. The Mack I had was a double cheeseburger with thousand island dressing, lettuce, onions, tomato, and pickles. I've mentioned the best burger I've ever had came from Smashed RVA but now it has competition in this one. It was fresh, juicy, and the toasted bun made it all come together. So good in fact I ordered a second one to go. Speaking of... The coconut shrimp we shared was so tender and the sweet chili dipping sauce would make your eyes pop out your head. It was spot on cooked, nice golden brown color, and very flavorful. My wife doesn't even like spicy food or coconut even but even she said she loved all of it. We got a second order of the shrimp to take home too. I talked to the manager on duty, named William, and told him my feelings and thanked him for a wonderful experience and meal and that we would definitely be back again. I can't speak for the people who gave this place negative feedback but I can say for my wife and I we had zero issues with the service, staff, and food.

Barrel 17 did not disappoint; when i got there i realized quickly i was the last to know because it was busy. We had about a 10 minute wait to be seated but that was cut short by option to sit at the bar. The bartender was working like she had six arms. It was non stop; attentive, taking orders, making drinks, checking back with others, she was truly impressive. The places was jumping; it was busy, casual and didn't slow down from the time we arrived until we left. Parking is challenging, there's a small lot beside the restaurant and a small lot behind it so if you can car pool you'll benefit yourselves. Now on to the star of the show - the food! The only knock I had was portion size. In a big guy with an even bigger appetite and when i left there i could've eaten my whole meal over again lol. But that's also because it was delicious. I got the mac n cheese starter, the Beast Burger, tater tots , and the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever had. Literally the biggest slice of cake ever- twice the size of my burger. Everything was delicious, from start to finish and if i were a person that had a normal appetite i would've left full like my friends did. Will definitely be back!
