Had the Haitian omelette, with homemade fried potatoes and toast. It was flavorful, the right amount of heat, but it smelled like the restaurant, like corn chips and fish sauce.. not complaining, just an observation. The caramel macchiato was pretty good, could taste the dark roast, a little too much foam, though, but very pleasantly presented.. The cons: upon immediately opening the door, it was super squeaky. The place looks like an Asian massage parlor, tons of plastic flowers everywhere. I ordered my food and used the bathroom. This is when I was disappointed. Baseboards walls were disgustingly filthy. It made me wonder..also when they brought out my food, the fork was dirty. This is an adorable little warm and cozy Cafe in a strip mall on Metro Parkway. We heard very good things about this place from another Yelper. So we were in the area and decided to give it a try. We both ordered the Classic Omelet with Sourdough bread and home fries on the side. The omelet was filled with veggies, ham and cheese and was quite delicious. The coffee was outstanding and I think it was freshly ground and then brewed. The Cafe is filled with lovely Haitian Artwork, cozy sofas and a phone booth! There is some outside seating, so next time we can bring the Freck! Centrally located and easy to find on Metro, just south of Colonial Blvd.! In the neighborhood and have not been to my favorite "Girly Café" for a while! My friends call Cadeau Café, a Girly Café because its pink color accented ambiance. However, I love their food! Checked in around lunch time and have coffee and Haitian Omelet. Well, Haitian Omelette as stated in the menu, is simply an omelet with ham, onion, Habanero and tomatoes, top off slices of avocado, fried potatoes and toast. The omelet is savory with a little kick from Habanero. Fried potatoes are well seasoned and hot! Avocado just added a nice touch! We came right on opening on a sunday morning and this place hit the spot. It is a little more specific on haitian, caribbean flavors, and a little pricier but I was craving their croque monsieur and my husband was craving their haitian patties. The space was nice and welcoming and the staff is always friendly. They got busy fast and there was only one employee working, she did her best to take care of everyone and she did it with a smile. I found this cafe randomly while searching for a breakfast spot. When we walked in there was plenty of seating and some cool artwork on the walls. They have some Haitian sodas and donuts which was kinda neat. I ended up trying three different breakfast items and splitting them. Every single item was absolutely incredible and left me stunned. I was so happy to finally have a chance to check out this adorable cafe. The inside is beautiful! It's very girly and happy and full of JOY. There were lots of different pastry options and many specialty coffees. My ham and cheese croissant was DELICIOUS- the bread was fresh and flaky, and the ingredients were flavorful. I found this cute restaurant when looking for brunch places and I loved that it had Haitian inspired food. We ordered at the front and seated ourselves. They had most tables occupied and one large group. We ordered the Lakay Egg Sandwich w/ gluten free toast and Chicken & Waffle. I requested pikliz to add to my sandwich and it took it up a notch. The chicken was reported as tasting dry. For drinks we ordered the Passionfruit Margarita and the Espresso Martini. Both drinks took a significantly long time to arrive. We even check if their were still being made. The server apologized and shared that they wanted to ensure the drinks tasted good and took a little longer.
