I was looking for the best halibut in the Valley and I found it! Cadillac Cafe is by far the best, especially for the money, $15.00 for a large helping of fried halibut and fries. It is perfectly battered and fried, not greasy, and comes with coctail and tartar sauce. I did not want fries so I asked for sliced tomatoes instead and the answer was sure, no problem. When my food came there was an entire large sliced tomato on my plate! The chef even cut the core out of the end slices. Beyond my expectation! There are only 6 or 7 cozy booths so it might be crowded at times, especially when this place gets discovered. Everything is made fresh, as I was leaving they were peeling apples, no cardboard box pies here! The service is excellent and the cafe is also very clean. This is another favorite cafe for me. Ordered: * Super nachos - ok, not too great as chips became soggy by the time it got delivered, didn't enjoy much. * Willow creek entree salad (veggie) - decent, liked it. * Farmers daughter veggie pizza - perfect taste, thickness, cooked well, we absolutely loved it. Yelp never fails us! First of all, I should start checking the location before I trot off to a new restaurant. It was definitely out of the way, but I have heard such good things about the restaurant. I was a little shocked when we arrived. It's attached to the side of a service station. Without Yelp, I probably would have never stopped to eat here. I am so glad we did. The building, inside, is very homely and clean. The food was fantastic. My salad was excellent. So many quality ingredients! The price was very good considering the quality and portion size. The balsamic dressing was delicious. My husband ordered taco pizza. It was piled full of mexican ingredients. He loved it! We were lucky. A fresh apple peach pie was coming out of the oven. We had some of that with quality ice cream! The service could have been better. Waitress spilt water and then ran. We had to clean it up. She also forgot to bring back our box of leftover pizza. But, the food made up for it! Easy to miss but if you do you've chosen... poorly. Amazing place hooked into a gas station. Friendly staff that really work hard. Clean restaurant with an amazing menu. Started out with the sampler and it alone is reason enough to return. The dip is unreal. The halibut bites are perfectly cooked and the broccoli is prepared in a fashion where everyone will eat their vegetables... at every meal. The appetizer leaves you in fear (in a good way) of what your main course will be like. Ordered the Cajun fettuccine and Cadillac Burrito. Life will never be the same. We just left Cadillac Cafe and we already miss it. Tiny, unique, enough variety on the menu to make the whole family happy AND the biggest order of freshly made bread sticks I've ever seen. Our waiter, Matt, was super fun, friendly, and helped us get exactly what we needed for our toddler. The chef talked with us as he made pizza dough in front of their beautiful open faced oven, showing us how everything they make is from scratch. We couldn't have asked for a warmer reception and think this unassuming hole in the wall is not to be missed. If you stop there, tell Matt we miss him. read more

Excellent diner type eatery attached to the Tesoro gas station just north of Wasilla. A bit hard to find but worth the search. We started with the spinach salad which was accented by the candied walnuts and sprinkle of feta over a sweet dressing. The pizza was all natural and very tasty. My wife and I eat here sometimes after church. They have good burgers and burritos. Don't know why there are so many bad reviews? We have never had problems with service. The place only has 7 tables so even if it was full the service wouldn't be slow either. Food tasted good and its a place you can get in and out quickly if you need to. read more

The first time I saw Cadillac Cafe I didn't really expect much. I was hoping that I would at least get an "ok" burger from such a small cafe located right next to a gas station. Honestly, I felt that was pretty optimistic especially with it being so far outside of central Wasilla. I figured it would be an experience I would try once and then be able to dismiss the place in order to try again somewhere else. That burger was a life changing experience. The burger was amazing and the first large burger I ever had that didn't fall apart while I was eating it. It was a structurally sound burger. For a while I was going there fairly regularly to try all the other amazing things on the menu. Having a great time with the waitresses was also a plus. In time I began to wonder how such a great cafe ended up where they are at. I discovered that the current owner also owns Two Fat Guys catering and Burrito Heaven in Anchorage.. and was an executive chef at Simons in Anchorage. This helps explain how they not only have great food but also occasionally run amazing specials that you wouldn't expect from such a small cafe. Also... while it is not in central Wasilla it will be "the place to go" for anyone around it as well as central Wasilla and I'm sure they will even let people from Anchorage come to. I've had a great experience with the cafe and I can confidently recommend the experience. Be sure to get there early as seating is limited and you don't want to miss out! read more

It's nice to know a place like this exists at one end of Wasilla and I will make a return trip if I'm in the area again. We came in after spending time at the Musk Ox Farm and ordered Super Nachos and a beer apiece. I would say the food was just okay, and hit the spot. I can appreciate a server who tries really hard. Our waitress tried really hard, she just didn't make the most efficient use of her time, and there were only a couple tables in when we walked in. We went to the Cadillac Cafe this weekend with 4 people, the food was ok, but nothing amazing. The wait staff was polite and attentive. For a restaurant coupled with a gas station, we were pleasantly surprised. We tried 2 appetizers, the Mongolian beef and a spicy shrimp one. For mains we had the gyro, philly cheese sandwich, signature burrito with fried chicken, and the Greek tacos. All items were ok, if a little underwhelming. The kicker was when the bill arrived, our lackluster lunch was $99 including tip! For that kind of money I can get a lot better! We definitely won't be going back. read more
