Another amazing winery and vineyard. It's not so big but it does pack a punch with its wine and the amazing truffle butter and cracker. It was amazing. The service was excellent. Our host was superb and oh so friendly. It was like hanging out with friends and drinking loads of wine. But with knowledge. The tasting menu was excellent with the wine choices. Each one was unique in its own way. Full of body and flavors. I prefer reds but everything was tasty. Of course, some bottles had to be purchase to enjoy back home. Excellent wine and the amazing truffle butter was a perfect addition to everything.

Wonderful tasting room in Paso Robles! Located a bit off the main square, this gem should absolutely not be missed. Every wine we tasted from the tasting menu was unlike anything we'd ever had before, each one packing bright flavors and unique profiles. We immediately bought 2 that we cannot wait to try again later - the 2019 templeton gap and the 2018 Cab sav/petit sirah blend. I believe all the grapes are locally sourced, and are blended together in such marvelous ways. Friendly somm--absolutely look forward to coming back next time we're in town.

What a beautiful place. So modern and peaceful. We tried the white and rose - both were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be heading back!

He's friendly, personable and knowledgeable. The coffee they provide free of charge comes from Amstrdm down the street. Yum! The walk is a perfect length and full of fun facts. I wanted to squeeze in a wine tasting anywhere while she did some browsing at the stores, and her last comment was "just make sure they are kid-friendly." I wasn't going to stop at Hope on Park, even though the aesthetics of the wine tasting bar are really appealing, just because in the past I haven't always super loved the flagship cabernet that is distributed everywhere and the place was so nice, it didn't seem kid-friendly. However, the host, Alli, was so friendly and engaging that I paused to reconsider. Once she mentioned that it was also legal to take the wine to the park, as long as you had a lid, I was in, as I had an escape plan if it didn't work out with my family!! From that point on, it was a really fun and magical tour of the entire lineup of Austin Hope--with many really enjoyable whites and reds. Alli also offered up revisits and other bottles that weren't in the lineup...and she was super knowledgeable about all the wines, since that is what she is studying at school. When my wife came with our son, Alli also really engaged both of them with both the wine lineup and juice for my son, being really kind and generous to both of them and I could tell they both really liked her as well. So, this ended up being the perfect spot! I guess my instincts were right!! Of course, we were going to buy a couple of bottles to get the tasting fee waived and to repay her for her kindness...however, we loved the experience and her so much, we ended up buying the two most expensive bottles there.

The history alone is enough to get you through the door, but the wine is what keeps you there. Pair the tasting with all the stories behind the winery, and it's easily one of the more interesting experiences in Paso. The staff is also incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The patio is a beautiful spot to taste, and if you're there later in the day, the sunset views are hard to beat. Definitely do the free cave tour while you're there. It's one of the coolest winery tours I've been on. The caves are a massive labyrinth carved into the hillside and naturally stay around 55 degrees year round, which is where they age a lot of their wine before bottling. Even if you've been to a lot of wineries, this is something a little different. At the time I'm writing this, tastings are still complimentary, which is almost unheard of these days. If you go, do them a favor and leave with a bottle or two. That's how places like this are able to keep offering experiences like this, and honestly, you'll probably want to take some wine home anyway.

I liked all five wines on the tasting menu, including the rosé, which is new for me because I don't usually love rosés. I ended up getting another glass of the Barbera after we finished the tasting. I heard him mention this tasting room in downtown Paso to a couple sitting a few seats down, but never got there, opting for other "larger" wineries. However, since walking through the door in June 2025, I feel Bushong is one of the best Paso Robles has to offer and really like what Jason says, "We're not focused on making more and more, but making better and better." The tasting room is located half a block off the square at 12th St & Spring St. a very easy walk across Spring, if you are visiting other tasting rooms in town. Jason, the winemaker and Mike, mister "does everything else" serve up some great wines! Walking through the door it feels as if you are walking into someone's living room. The wall opposite the entrance is a wall full of vinyl (that's records, Gen Z). Willing to spin whatever you are in the mood to listen to. The wine names are all music related, as are the labels. Specializing in red blends, Jason does an excellent job getting the most out of each varietal used to create a symphony of flavor in each bottle. The tasting run $25 per person, but is waved with the purchase of two bottles. You taste your way through the lighter offerings, a white and rose before moving on to the red blends and possible the 23 year old cream sherry. So lovely! Everything he bottles has been excellent. I've been very impressed with the quality considering the size of his boutique winery, but really becoming a fan of these smaller operations because of what they produce time after time. When in Paso, make a reservation with Jason or Mike and get into Bushong. Some of the best wine I have tasted in Paso. I highly recommend it!

The grounds are gorgeous, the sculptures throughout the property are genuinely impressive, and the music and scene were a great backdrop. The wine itself seemed perfectly decent. But the experience on the ground was bad enough that none of that mattered by the time we left. We didn't have a reservation, that's on us. But the website says reservations are recommended, not required, so we figured we'd try anyway. From the moment we walked in, it was clear we weren't wanted. The hostess hustled us into a side room, then walked off, at which point a server immediately told me -- not pleasantly -- that I was standing in the wrong place. When I asked about a few wines I was interested in, I was met with a clear lack of interest, capped off by being rudely told to just get a glass of muscat, like the suggestion was as much about getting rid of me as it was a recommendation. So that's what we did, and then we left. We tasted at several other wineries in Paso Robles that day and had wonderful experiences at every one of them. Staff who were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to have us, reservation or not. Sculpterra was the only stop where we walked away having spent next to nothing, and it's the only place on the entire trip we'll never go back to, no matter how nice the grounds are. Beautiful property, but the people working the floor that day made it clear they didn't want our business, so we obliged.
