Hannah is great! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Location is relaxing. Wines are great, especially the new release 2023 Zin.

We got their standard tasting which was 5 pours I believe. 1 white the rest were reds. They had a couple special members only bottles open but they weren't super busy on a Thursday afternoon so we got to try those too. All of the wines were delicious honestly! My favorite was the Silken. The tasting room is beautiful and pretty big. They have a ton more seating on the wrap around porch and downstairs on the patio. They also have a short but good menu for food items as well. We got their charcuterie plate, a bowl of their daily soup, and a small salad. Everything was fresh with good flavor and the bread was addicting! Even my wife that doesn't eat bread couldn't put it down. I do wish the soup came out a bit hotter but it was tasty with a nice kick to it. Would definitely come back to Parrish for a tasting next time I'm in town.

Bought a case of mixed wines and can't wait to go back!!

The tasting room is intimate, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, creating a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy great wine. What really makes this place stand out is the people. The staff and owners are wonderful friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the entire experience feel warm and engaging. LXV is especially known for pairing wine with custom spice and flavor experiences that complement the tasting. They traditional wine tasting and a wine-and-cheese pairing experience (which I highly recommend). The cheeses are coated with the different blends of LXV's own herbs and spices, adding a unique layer of flavor to each tasting. If you enjoy cooking or simply appreciate bold, and well balanced flavors, chances are you'll leave with a few spice blends to take home along with a bottle or two of wine. I highly recommend checking them out.

Our first stop when we arrived in Paso. We've been to so many wineries, this would be one of our top 10. The spice pairing is unique but pairs so well with the wine. Buy 3 bottles to waive the fee. Since it's more of boutique, the bottles are quite pricey, mostly ranging near the 100s. But it was our favorite the whole weekend we went there. And we bought 6 bottles. We loved the spell and got 3 bottles of that! It's a Syrah cab blend. Has the Paso flavor that we love. It's not a vineyard, just a tasting room but worth a visit. We met the wine maker too. Friendly and attentive service. Can't wait to pop open a bottle at home soon!

I think what makes this place special is that there's a story behind each bottle of wine and unique label by an artist to go with the story. It was hard to choose between the wines we liked and the art on the bottles lol. But they did say you can have any art label put on the bottle you wanted, but to is the story wouldn't match. The views are beautiful, and depending on where you're seated, you can either enjoy the harbor scenery or spend some time people-watching. The artwork on the wine labels is stunning and adds a unique touch to the experience. I also appreciated the stories behind the wine names, the focus on small-batch production, and especially the charity bottle program. It's clear that a lot of thought and passion go into the brand. As for the wines themselves, they just weren't a fit for my palate, particularly at the price point. I recognize that wine preferences are highly personal, and there were others around the tasting room who seemed to enjoy them much more than I did. I also felt that the tasting experience could have been more engaging. Our server was pleasant not the most engaging, we felt like we were bothering her. Overall, I appreciated the creativity, mission, and atmosphere, even though the wines and tasting experience didn't quite resonate with me.

And after a drive that reminded me of the beginning of "The Shining" with all of the winding roads, I arrived, sat down overlooking the valley, and told my wine guy flat out what I started this review with. He was slightly taken aback and treated me with a "let's change your mind" attitude. As I waited for my first sample, I couldn't help but notice the view. It was the best view of all of the wineries I've visited and based on the other reviews, I'm not wrong. They used their plot of land well to Wow their guests... I sampled quite a few wines and liked a lot of them. The ones here are apparently different than the DAOU that's in most stores and restaurants. That's a shame actually... I was here in the morning so it was freezing cold out. I'd recommend for a morning tasting, bring a jacket or something (I was there in May). But as the morning neared its end, the sun warmed things up. My wine guy brought some crackers also as I was feeling a bit queasy from guzzling wine so early. Nice touch and prevented the hallways from looking like "The Shining" too. I also enjoyed watching and playing with Cheetoh, the cat who hung around the outside. He was pretty chill and friendly. He followed my wine guy around and let me pet him (the cat, not the wine guy). I'm glad I went and was upfront about why I was there. I think he appreciated it too and he did change my mind about DAOU. I get that it's a business so you gotta sell to the masses, but make some of these others available to us common folk. If I'm ever in Paso Robles again, I'm making sure to make a reservation here and get one of those wood fired pizzas! And maybe they'll take my idea and make a Lizzie Bordeaux! What's up with my macabre mind today...

The views are to die for, the breeze is lovely at the top of the hill, and everything from the ice cold water to your never empty glasses are a sign of excellent service. A small bummer at the start was that we arrived before opening at 12PM and were waiting outside with several other guests. Someone unlocked the door, but no one let us know we could come in. About 4 minutes after 12, I tried the door and realized it was unlocked, though none of us had heard or seen it open. Not a huge deal, but a quick welcome would have been nice. After that, everything was fantastic. I love that Justin offers this tasting room separate from their main winery, which is several miles away. Having a location right in the downtown Paso Robles square is so convenient, especially being surrounded by shops and restaurants. I also really loved the setup with tables to sit at versus standing at a bar. They offer wine by the glass as well as different tasting flight options, and they also serve small bites. We heard there are different menus depending on the day, which is a nice touch. Our server greeted us quickly, brought water right away, and got our first tasting to us fast. She was very knowledgeable about the wines and did an excellent job explaining each one. Since we were in a bit of a hurry to catch a flight, she kindly brought all of our tastings out at once, clearly labeled, walked us through them, and let us enjoy at our own pace. We really appreciated that. Wish we had more time here. Highly recommend. Also, if you join their wine club, your tastings are complimentary, which is a great perk!
