I had the turkey panini and cheesecake. The turkey sandwich was nothing special- it actually didn't seem much of a panini at all just two pieces of toasted sandwich bread with ZERO flavor. The cheesecake was absolutely atrocious. The cashier told me it was freshly made that morning but there's NO way. There's a very good reason why this place is called "Cafe Amor" and that is because they put a lot of love and passion into all of what they do. For example, I had the Lox on a toasted everything bagel with smoked salmon, sliced avocado, tomatoes, red onions, and cream cheese for $8.95, and an Iced Americano. What I loved about the lox, was not just that it was beautifully presented, but all the ingredients were fresh, and the smoked salmon was outstanding. The salmon offered a clean flavor and that nice natural salmon flavor, a touch of smoke, followed by a bit of brine. Delicious! The avocado were freshly sliced and at the perfect ripeness. The lox came with just right amount of red onions, not to overwhelm, and the tomatoes were of very god quality, bursting with flavor and juice. The whole meal was a great combination of flavors and textures. Service was super friendly. They offer coffees and espressos, milkshakes with love, ice cream, breakfast & lunch items, healthy oatmeal bowls, and salads, not to mention homemade ice cream cakes! My review is based on customer service. We came to try out Cafe Amor before heading out for the day. We ordered the mini pancakes,oatmeal bowl, olla latte and cinnamon latte. I will say the olla latte and was delicious. The cinnamon latter ehh it was ok. The decor in the place was festive for valentines day and my wife liked it. Now onto the customer service. Upon receiving my drink it was labeled maple. I was confused because i ordered the cinnamon latte. When i went up to ask if it was a mistake the cashier looked at me and said " you ordered the maple cinnamon latte didnt you?" I said no i ordered the cinnamon latte. His response was, well thats the same one its a cinnamon maple latte. No where in the description was maple mentioned. I can get past that but what was rude was the way he spoke and his tone instead of explaining. Before leaving i placed an order for banana pudding and banana milk matcha. When he called my order i was handed a banana latte. Again i let him know that the order was wrong and i responded no i ordered MATCHA. The blank stare and eye roll followed by ill remake it. Overall this place seems to get alot of delivery orders but not alot of dine in and honestly i can see why. Would still recommend but give people a heads up about the attitude. read more

I went to East County to help an elderly friend with his yard. It took me took 10s to complete. I took a lunch break and found this spot Cafe Amor. Other than Weinersnitzel, it's the only place in the plaza that looks like it serves food. I was parked outside, and ordered on the phone. The young lady thst took my order was very sweet. Impeccable manners! The panini selection was impressive for what I thought was an ice cream shop. I got a Turkey avocado panini. Man! It was so good! I wish I took a picture of it, but I ate it too quickly. There were two young ladies working that day. The one that took my order and charged me was a sweet kid though. If I met her parents I would tell them that they did an excellent job raising her. Great food, even better service. I would highly recommend a cafe Amor if you're in the area. It's a small cafe that serves coffee, juices, smoothies, and sandwiches. On a weekday during the afternoon I was meeting with my scene partner. The cafe was not busy. I ordered the Watermelon Chia Seed Juice based on the recommendation of the cashier. It was refreshing. Sweet enough yet not filled with sugar. The Chia seed made the beverage filling. For $5.00 it is a small drink. We sat outside as we looked over our script. There a few tables inside for seating and two for outdoor seating. Later that afternoon I purchased the Turkey Avocado Croissant Sandwich. I was really hungry so it was satisfying; however, it lacked flavor. The croissant wasn't buttery nor flaky.
