    chicken and waffles

So I absolutely loved the birriaquilles, so flavorful, meat is tender... plus the inside is so pretty and aesthetic. It gives Victorian vibes for sure, almost like bridgerton. I thought the chicken & waffles thing was okay... I wasn't a fan of the bacon bits inside the waffles. Service was a bit lagging, we had to ask for utensils, ask for water refills, ask for the check etc. I probably could come back just for the birriaquilles.

I enjoyed the birraquiles and royal bacon Casado toast. I felt it was a little pricy for breakfast but the ambience is very pretty and inviting.

Chilaquiles are soooo good! And the rose coffee is super cute!!!

The chilaquiles here are seriously awesome! The tortillas are perfectly crispy, and the sauce has just the right amount of kick. And that rose coffee latte? It's not just beautiful to look at, but it tastes amazing too - a really unique and delicious combination.

The restaurant is decorated really cute. It's a vibe. Very friendly staff. The menu was limitedVery attentive and helpful. However, the food was not impressive. It was plated well, but the taste was disappointing. Not a place I'd come back to but had a lot of potential! My husband ordered the birriachiles and I ordered the chicken sandwich. The portions were small, didn't have much flavor and the prices are high, simply not worth the cost

We came with a large group of eight on Valentine's Day and had about an hour wait. The restaurant was decorated for the occasion. Everything was pink and cute, which made for a fun atmosphere. Service was really good. The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating despite how busy it was. I ordered the Royal Bacon Toast (3.5/5), which comes with an egg. I ordered mine over hard and it was cooked well. The avocado to bread ratio was great and the avocado was nicely seasoned. I was disappointed with the bacon. There was only one piece and it lacked flavor. I loved their fries (5/5). They were like wedges and had a good seasoning.

Everything is Pink! Super cute inside and out. Beautiful outdoor seating tucked away in this shopping strip. The food options are limited, but that's ok. Service was friendly. Unfortunately the chicken on the chicken and waffles seemed over fried and dry. Tased good, just a bit over cooked for my taste. The chocolate print on my latte was a nice surprise.

Im not going to lie after seeing the bipolar reviews we had to go check it out for ourselves and it is safe to say this is absolutely not the spot to go to when visiting SD, from the quality to the service it was honestly just not it. We got the Birria Chorizo plate and while the birria was solid the rest lacked; place found everything and anything to make money from rather than cooking with passion you can taste:( very unfortunate I had to write such a review but I won't give a 1 star considering nothing crayz happened to my guest and I.

Super cute decor at this breakfast spot, I tried the birriaquiles with an egg on the menu & they were very good I liked the tartness & the meat was cooked perfectly. I had the strawberry match a which was also good more on the sweeter side of a matcha drink but tasty and the espresso martini was good!

I visited with friends on a weekday morning. The restaurant was decorated in a pink color inside and out. There was no wait, as we were the only patrons. The menu was limited, and they also were out of croissants. The waitress was friendly and prompt in taking our orders. Food came out on time, but the electricity went out (it happened to be a 90 degree day). It was still a pleasant experience, but I recommend viewing the menu to determine if it's to your liking. They need more selections-only had bacon and no sausage options of any kind. Food: sourdough avocado toast was not bad, egg fried well Service: prompt, friendly and accommodating servers Ambiance: sunny, would work for a baby shower or bridal shower

    My chilaquiles were delicious

The food was absolutely scrumptious and our drinks were delightful. The service is top-notch, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant is simply charming and welcoming.

Love the ambiance, love the food and awesome crew! Now that we have a fur baby, we always look for a restaurant that is pet friendly. This place has a cozy patio where you can sit with your pets. The theme is pink, all pink, super cute! Shout out to Jose for the superb service. With our complicated modifications, he got our order perfect and always check on us. Presentation is amazing! So however simple the order is, like mine is the breakfast basket, choice of bread of the day, house-made jam and butter, i ordered extra bacon on the side... perfect! My husband ordered chicken and waffles. Omg, the waffle was so perfect that you don't even wanna cut and eat. and for our fur baby, we ordered scrambled egg and bacon. We will surely come back!

I've gotten a chance to stop by here a few times now. The first time, I got to sit outside, while the second time I got to sit inside. The decoration along with the staff's matching outfits really makes this place charming. Especially because all the pink, to the plates and cups; you can tell the owners are detail oriented. This is your typical lunch spot, as you have sweet and savory items. I like that the menu is small so you're not overwhelmed with all the choices. I've tried their French toast, Sunday cereal, spring salmon toast, birriaquiles, chicken and waffles, morning parfait, and lastly the Sunday fries. The birriaquiles, had such a good amount of birria that is cooked to perfection. The toppings and green sauce really elevated this dish. The chicken is moist, and flavorful from the chicken and waffle. The Sunday fries were also delicious in texture and their aioli was well paired. The only thing I didn't like from here were their matcha offerings. Every time I tried it, it was not great. Food wise, I'll come back. The staff are friendly and attentive which makes your experience even better.

Man, I really wanted to like this place. Too many cons very little pros. Pros; the place is really cute, the food ain't too bad. Cons; they have very limited menu. The price!!!!! Is so expensive!!! $6 to add fries to a $16 chicken sandwich. CRAZY!!! The service!!! It took FOREVER just for them to acknowledge us when we were already sitting in our table, took our order and took another forever to get our drinks and food. Mind you, we only order a sprite and lemonade. We were just finishing our food and got the check immediately by the server... felt a little rushed, and weird since they took forever to serve us but they were quick to charge us. Overall, I would not recommend this place. Specially on a weekend.

Puedo registrarme en línea para espera de mesa?

    Sí, a través de Google

I've heard there's typically a long wait, is there a covered waiting area?

No. It's an open area. They have a few tables outside (sm patio area) with a couple freestanding umbrellas, but this is for seated diners.

Has anyone tried the soufflé pancakes?

I've been three times and the first two times they weren't making them and the third time they were crossed out on the menu. This last time was about 2 months ago, so hopefully someone else has a better answer

What are the prices and menu?

Hello - mainly breakfast dishes - like French toast pancakes coffees and other good stuff - price I'd say is $$$ $18-25

Are there bottomless mimosas? If so how much

Hello. I don't think they have bottomless mimosa

    Can i make reservations?

Not accomodating party of 6 or more sucks

I took my tacos to go so can't speak to the table service. However since I was traveling back to North County the tacos held up well, as I asked for all veggies and salsa on the side. The to go service is easy there is a small register by the kitchen where someone takes your order. Ordered the al pastor and asada tacos. My favorite was the asada, the meat was tender and perfectly cooked and you get a decent amount of meat inside each taco. Once the veggies and salsa were added, they were oh so good. The al pastor thought the meat was dry almost like it had been sitting under the heat lamp or grill for too long. Overall good experience and good tacos. Will need to be back to other options and their dine in experience. I tried their green and red spicy salsa and both had a good kick. Minus 1 start due to their parking lot, it's so narrow and always busy, so you either need to wait until someone leaves and then maneuver your car back and forth several times to attempt to park.

Sometimes, there are nights when only tacos can fix me. It's no secret that San Diego has tacos in…read morespades and being so close to the border, you'd think that a quest to find the perfect taco would be as simple as rolling down to the nearest taqueria. Except, it's not quite that simple. Many beloved staples have gone downhill, while some newer spots that might boast things like a Michelin mention or multiple locations ranging from TJ to Vegas contain more hype and gristle than tender meat and substance. Enter Chula Tacos. Chula is, and always was, the type of place that makes you forget that you're not actually in Tijuana. While part of me misses their OG Market Street location, seeing them with brick-and-mortars feels hard-earned and well-deserved. This location on Palm in IB is relatively easy to access from the freeway, but parking can be tricky. You can safely assume that it will be busy and you will either have to be very lucky or be willing to find a spot on the street. Out of all the times I've been here, it's always been crowded enough that I've never been able to find a table inside, but I enjoy sitting out on the patio next to the ahumederos. The first thing that hits you walking through the door is how amazing everything smells. The queue to the cashier takes you near a window showing the kitchen where you can see the Chula Tacos team making fresh tortillas, slicing meat from the trompos, grilling up jalapenos, nopales, onions, labio, and tripa. For me, it's not so much a challenge to decide what I want, it's more a challenge to keep myself from ordering everything. My usual is four tacos: two asada, two al pastor (but I've heard that I should also try their world famous keka). The tacos though? Perfection. Every time, the asada is the juiciest and most tender I've ever eaten, the al pastor is succulent and flavorful, and no taco in front of me is long for the world. At $3.50 each, every one of them is absolutely loaded. Three would honestly fill me up, but I always want four. After getting burned by spots that ask around 75% more and deliver anywhere between 25-50% less, Chula Tacos feels like an absolute godsend of a Tijuana-style taqueria and I can't see any other contenders being my go-to. So, when I say "Tacos will fix me," what I mean nowadays is "Chula Tacos will fix me."

Every item we ordered was packed with delicious flavors and made fresh. One thing that stood out was their attention to detail with to-go orders--they provided plenty of condiments, including a variety of salsas, cucumbers, radishes, and peppers, which really elevated the meal. The highlight of the menu is the Keka Taco. It is incredibly delicious, loaded with flavor, and so filling that it can easily satisfy even the biggest appetite. The only downside to this establishment is the limited parking, which can make picking up your order a bit challenging during busy times. However, the amazing food and generous portions more than make up for the parking inconvenience. If you're in the area, the Keka Taco is a must-try!

At first I gave them a great review & last time not so great due to prices & portions. Well now over the years their prices are better than other taco shops & portions have gotten bigger. Tho they only have 3 tacos on the menu, Carne Asada, Birria, Adobada, they are good & they have one of the better Birria soup/broth in SD. Their carne asada is one of the best in SD, so juicy & soft I love it, their Birria taco is good too but I prefer their order of Birria or broth & their Adobada is ok just a bit too marinated for me. They also have burritos, tortas & Mullitas & I recommend the Carne Asada form in those because I believe they have one of the best Carne Asada meats in SD. The customer service is really good, cooks are cool & fast & the girls on the register are really nice & the place is always clean. And you know the best part, they have a dispensary/weed store next door so you can buy a joint & go smoke a joint in your car & then walk here & get a few tacos & Birria broth, now that's a perfect breakfast or lunch, tacos & weed go hand & hand baby :) Overall a good little hole in the wall taco shop if you don't want crazy long lines & good service & good tacos & Birria meat or broth this is your place.
