I've passed by this kiosk numerous times while shopping at donkis and I have not once ever made a stop here. I'm so glad I finally tried this place out! The service was really friendly and the drinks were made pretty quickly. I was debating from a fruit smoothie or a coffee drink, but since I already had my coffee for the day, I decided to just get a fruit smoothie so I don't get the jitters. Their prices aren't that bad. Their medium drink was about 5$ and you only need a minimum of 3$ ish in order to use a credit card. My drink wasn't made with real strawberry, but it was a strawberry purée mixed with ice cream and ice. It was so filling I didn't eat my lunch! Well I did but only had a few bites of it. They also offer a stamp card and I got one just in case I'd come back, and I will again in the future! read more

I can't recall the year I first visited this place but I know it was about 10 ish years ago. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have visited, the employee(s) go ABOVE and BEYOND with customer service. What I mean is, they don't treat you like the next customer who's just ordering something. You feel as if you're KNOWN and APPRECIATED. The little things do go a LONG way. The last time ( July 2022) I recently visited, the friendly male employee gave my son a bigger drink so he could 'share with his sister'. I didn't wanna get 2 drinks knowing they'd waste. A perfect little cafe hut outside of Don Quijote that provides all of your caffeinated wants and your sweet tooth for a smoothie (with or without boba). The workers have been the nicest people and so pleasant. I go back just because of how nice they are. I stop by here occasionally to grab a cup of coffee. This morning I was on my way to get a pedicure and wanted a coffee, so I decided to grab a cup to take with me. Now at this point, I'd just woken up, gotten dressed and walked 2 blocks to get here so my mind was not functioning at optimum level LOL. I was greeted by a friendly "Good morning!" followed by "what can I get for you?" His bright smile and friendly greeting immediately made my day brighter. I told him I usually only drank black coffee but wanted to try something different........ I ordered a cappuccino, unsweetened, and chatted with this friendly young man, Rico. I went in to get my pedicure and I felt so happy, getting a pampering foot massage while drinking a fabulous cappuccino. I usually make my coffee at home but if I'm on my way here (this place is just outside Don Quijote) then I'll gladly come here for a cup of coffee just so I can have a friendly chat with Rico. I have been going here for years Since the day reopened up as Caf'e Kyra. I have many custom drinks I like coming here for. My most favorite would be the Strawberry Orange Li Hi Mui smoothie. Basically If you See Scott at Caf'e Kyra he knows the recipe. It's ice, Strawberry mix that they use for their strawberry banana mix and the Orange juice mix with another squirt or 2 of the orange juice flavoring from Torani. Just remember no Ice cream as that won't make it a smoothie and of course the Li Hi Mui powder 1 or 2 spoons full. If they have the Tarani Irish cream, Pumpkin pie or peppermint available you can make great shakes with that as well. The staff here Scott is very energetic and positive attitude and gets your drinks out in a Flash. Brotha Rico and Shannon are doing excellent work keeping up a great business. I got the MILK TEA with tapioca and it was a bit too sweet for my liking. It was more on the milky side than tea so it tasted like a milky drink with tapioca. The tapioca was okay. Not too hard and not too mushy. Flavorwise, nothing special and it didn't stand out at all. I wasn't impressed, but it was convenient even though I didn't drink it all. Would I come back? What a cute coffee stand! It's like coffee shack! Nothing pretentious. Simple but delicious drinks! I ordered Iced Mocha and the best part was it was not crazy sweet! This past weekend my family and I went to Yummy Korean BBQ near Don Quijote on Kaheka street for dinner. While waiting for our food we decided to look around at some of the surrounding vendors and came across Café Kyra. My son and I decided to get ourselves a drink. Since I love bubble drinks I opted for the tai milk tea with boba and my son got a chocolate shake. First let me tell you about the friendly young gentleman named Scott that was working the station all on his own, he was awesome! He was so informative and offered up answers to all my questions. He even recommend a drink for me to try the next time called the Wild berry smoothie. He told me that this was his favorite drink and that if he's making it and I don't love it, I can get my money back. He told me that their most popular drink is the mocha shake and that maybe next time I could try my drink as a frapé opposed to just over ice. I was even lucky enough to see a picture of the little girl that Café Kyra was named after. Scott shared with me that she was the daughter of the two owners whoms names I forgot (sorry). Scott was just an all around cool dude that I look forward to visiting at Café Kyra again. Not only was Scott super friendly and informative but the guy cab really make a great drink as well. Both my son and my drink were made to perfection. My friend recommended this place to me because she was in love with their chocolate shake and couldn't stop raving about it! I'm not a big fan of chocolate myself but they had other shakes on their menu that interested me. The first time I came here I couldn't decide between their peach milkshake (recommended!) or their honeydew milkshake (honeydew obsessed here). I even asked one of the workers what she would get and she even suggested the peach! But being stubborn as I am, I ended up getting the honeydew LOL It wasn't anything special, just tasted like a regular honeydew bubble drink but I love honeydew regardless so I was still happy xD The second time I came here, I knew to get the peach milkshake and it was amazing O_O even though it was basically peach flavoring with ice cream, there was just something about it. The milk tea was delicious and just right. I've had alot of milk teas, and some come with a strong bitter after taste. This milk tea was smooth and delicious. I've talked to another customer who also enjoys their teas and they also talk about the deliciousness of the milk tea here at Cafe Kyra. The prices here are very reasonable for the Ala Moana/Kapiolani area.
