Their food is fantastic! This is a small business that makes their food with locally sourced ingredients from local farmer's markets. I personally tried their Vermont French Toast and Butternut Squash Skillet. Both dishes are delicious and the home fries are cut thick like roasted potatoes IMO. Today, I had the Hangover Skillet, Carnitas Skillet, and Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. Both savory dishes were good and I would get them again. However, the pancakes were very unusual in texture. I was afraid to report that to the kitchen because I thought perhaps they were meant to be dense and rubbery. Looking back, I probably should've asked because they weren't enjoyable nor were they cheap. Also, I'd imagine new establishments would want that kind of feedback. The customer service was friendly although very slow at first. We sat down for about 10-15 minutes before anyone came by with a menu. I thought maybe the servers were still training. The Crab Cakes Benedict were honestly underwhelming but I did enjoy the iced Nutella Latte and the Hangover Skillet so if you're feeling iffy about those menu items, you should definitely get them. The restaurant also looked clean so that is a bonus. Unfortunately, my visit was negatively impacted by the subpar service by the waitress/hostess(?) of the restaurant (Heather G.). Upon entering the establishment, there was an air of annoyance that emanated from Heather as though my party's presence was an inconvenience to her. We were never formally greeted by Heather, but instead were told that we would have to wait 15 minutes to be seated. After waiting the 15 minutes, our party re-entered the restaurant just to be met with Heather's lovely scowl and polite directive, "yes you can sit there!" which she bellowed across the restaurant for all the other customers to hear. At one point, we started to question if the attitude we were experiencing at the hands of Heather was due to discrimination (you know the kind that has been outlawed for about 60 years if you know what I mean...) because we did not observe Heather speaking to anyone else in the restaurant in such a dismissive and hostile manner. We felt this way until there was an unexpected shift in Heather's demeanor. But of course, we should not have been surprised by this shift because it happened when it was time for us order and Heather needed to secure her tip for the morning. Although the experience did get better towards the end, it was not enough to wipe the slate clean. In summary, the food at this restaurant was good and I would definitely order from here again. But, because of the quality of customer service that I experienced at this restaurant, I would rather take my future orders to-go and I would suggest you do the same. read more

It is now our "go to" place when I am in town from Huntington Beach, CA. and meeting up with my friends of 62 years. We all grew up in Bristol, RI. The food is superb. We were passing our old hometown and needed to grab a bite to eat for our kids who have a lot of allergies. We were so sad to discover our favorite breakfast place had closed during the pandemic. And then we found this place! They were incredibly accommodating, patient, and kind. We were able to get something for everyone and left feeling like we were back home. Plus, an all gender inclusive bathroom to help all feel as welcome as we did. Unfortunately it did take awhile to get served and 2 of the orders weren't correct. We went there for their second night of dinner service. The chef and his wife own and run the business and everything is scratch made to perfection. Everything about this place is about the details that make authentic food authentic. Like the hard to source Oaxaca cheese used in the queso or the warm hand made corn tortillas that I have yet to find outside Monterey Mexico. Went to Cafe Locale for the first time this past weekend. The place is small, but cute and we were able to get a table for two right away. I ordered the Nutella hot chocolate and wasn't disappointed! I also ordered the tropical juice because I love fresh juices and it was wonderful. I had the crepes and it was delicious and filling. My husband had eggs/bacon/and potatoes and he loved the way they cooked the potatoes. The best part of our trip to Cafe Locale was the waitress. Truly unexpected delight! There aren't make brunch spots in the area, but this one certainly was delicious. I got the crepes which were pretty decent, but I was especially impressed with how light and fluffy the eggs were. I went here for a girls' brunch this past weekend and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food, ambiance, and service! Nearly all of the ladies dining with me that day regard breakfast as their favorite meal of the day... we all agreed that this was one of the best we have ever had! Wanted to give a full honest review. Went there on the day after opening late morning and it wasn't busy inside. My order came out correct but several other diners near us had issues with their order that needed to be sent back, though I don't know what the issues were. Overall service was a bit slow and disorganized, but they just opened so I give it a pass while they get things figured out, totally understandable. I'm a patient person but if you expect perfection maybe wait a few weeks while they improve. I worry what the experience would have been if they were very busy. Overall the food was excellent, some of the best home fries I've ever had, though the hollandaise sauce on the benedict was a bit watery, not as creamy as I'm used to seeing. Not bad but could be improved. The coffee was hands down the best I've ever had from a breakfast joint. I like my coffee strong with no cream/sugar and it was perfect. Whatever you're doing with your coffee, keep doing it. Didn't try any of the specialty drinks on the menu but overheard them say some weren't available yet, not sure why. I'll definitely give this place another try in a few weeks after things settle down a bit. read more

Literally the best food we ate during our trip to MA. My wife likes to try local places whenever we travel and we stopped here the first day based on the awesome reviews she found. It was so yummy, that we made a special stop back the next day before we headed home. The food was SO GOOD, the restaurant's atmosphere was SO CLEAN & inviting, and the STAFF so welcoming and amazing, that we have been telling everyone about it! The first day my wife ordered the 'Eggceptional Breakfast' and really enjoyed it. The home fries were so good with delicious seasoning that I stole most of them from her plate! I could not decide what to order, so I made a DIY meal out of breakfast sides and the staff was more than happy to cater to my indecisiveness. I got a pancake, a piece of French toast, and eggs! We also got fresh squeezed orange juice that they make fresh every day. It was SO GOOD. We were too excited and too busy eating everything to take pics the first day... The very next day we went back our Server, Heather, remembered us right away and already knew most of what we wanted to try for this meal. We both got the freshly made watermelon juice, which we had never had before and really liked it! My wife ordered the shrimp tacos, not only did they look like they came right out of a fancy food magazine, they were also delicious and all of the flavors together were amazing. The handmade tortillas and made to order taco components were out of this world! I like seafood, but I tried a bite and liked it!
