One order was perfectly cooked--light and fluffy--but the other was unfortunately underdone and a bit stodgy. To their credit, they removed it from the bill without any fuss, which we appreciated. The coffee had a good flavor, although it could have been served a little hotter. The scone was tasty, my eggs were cooked just as ordered, and my partner's bacon was perfectly crisp. Overall, despite a small hiccup with one of the pancakes, the service was fair in making it right, and the rest of the meal was enjoyable. Loved the ambiance at what is now being called Morin's 1911. Kind of a mix of comfort food and date night. My favorite diner ever. We split the crispy calamari as our appetizer--a deluxe take on a classic. I had the chicken tenders as my entree, and liked the consistency. Not too greasy and not too tough...common pitfalls elsewhere. The honey mustard was a winner, though I loved the BBQ sauce too. My date said she enjoyed her spare ribs as well. Street parking was available right out front. Our waitress was patient about checking dish options for my dairy allergy. Noise level inside was great for a date-not too loud, not too quiet. Good vibes amongst other patrons and staff. Service was friendly and attentive, and she seemed fine with us lingering over our coffees in lieu of dessert. (No dairy-free option.) Morin's Bar & Grill looks so much nicer after the renovations and the updated atmosphere honestly made me excited to come back and bring my partner there. I've been a few times over the years and always remembered it as a solid local spot. My bagel sandwich was simple but good, and the dulce de leche latte was definitely on the sweeter side, but that was expected based on what I ordered. The biggest miss for us was the chicken and waffles. The waffle itself was actually really good, but the chicken was way too thick and underseasoned, so it completely overpowered the dish instead of balancing with it. There was also an overwhelming amount of butter on the plate that felt a little excessive. What really dropped the rating though was the coffee refill tasting burned. At a brunch spot especially, coffee feels like one of the easiest things to consistently get right, so it was disappointing when something that simple missed the mark. I really wanted to love the experience because the space has so much potential, but overall it just didn't fully live up to what I was hoping for. read more

Morin's is a great go-to. Everyone in your party will find something to love on the menu. We've visited many times and have always loved the food. The cocktails are amazing. It's a very large place that can accommodate all party sizes. There's a parking lot on the right of the building and other street places. We've never had a problem finding a spot. read more

Description states over easy eggs, eggs were hard cooked and even had dried crispy edges. The potatoes were unevenly cooked, at least they were cooked through, seasoning was lacking. The hollandaise sauce was more of a paste, little to no flavor. The advertised "griddled jumbo English muffin " was more like a soft lil pancake and fluffy for one part, the other was a flat lil pancake; so neither were jumbo English muffin. The homemade corned beef was nice, tasty, but still lacked seasoning. The service was nice, they tried to offer a remake on the meal, I was not impressed the first time, wasn't going to take another chance. The atmosphere was very nice, looked like a classy joint. Very patriotic inside, but when asked if they had a veteran discount, was told only on Thursday evenings. So over all, we will not be returning. Many disappointments. They also did give a $2.00 discount for the meal of Irish Benny. A removal of the meal would have been a better offer, thanks for trying. read more

First time here, was told it has been here forever. The food was good, we got the nachos to start. I got the ravioli primavera very good, wish it had a little heat. Friends got a wide range of selection from flatbread which she enjoyed, buffalo chicken wrap, looked good and burger that looked amazing. It was a Wednesday and as we found out was music bingo night. It is a cool concept only thing if you want to talk with people you are with, pick a different day. Will return to sample more selections. read more

We haven't been here in about 10 years or so. certainly not since the remodeling. Reading the reviews and how they seem to be be all over the place, we were curious to give it a go and see how much it actually changed. It was good! That being said our go-to dishes were, the Fenway Fable for him and the Yankee clipper for me I remember we used to get these in skillets. I know dishes like this are much more feasible though than having to care for cast iron. so the change made total sense. i'm not exactly sure how "homemade" the corned beef hash was though, but it was cooked up good. that was the whole reason why I used to get that dish because I love homemade hash. The prices were pretty spot on considering the price of everything seems high. Our waitress was attentive and we got our order quickly. we only ran into an issue when we tried to pay with cash lol! I guess we were there too early for her to break a $20 bill‍ (not her fault) All in all I like the remodeling! It has a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. read more

Woke up this morning and remembered someone from work told me to give this place a try since the relaunch. Let's go straight to the review Walked in and greeted by a very friendly Hostess and walks me over to a nice clean 2 seat both. A nice waitress walks up to greet me asks me what I would like to drink and I said a Bloody Mary and she kindly asked which one and then proceeded to go grab the drink menu real quick for me to look at for a couple minutes. She then comes back to take my drink order and asked if I was ready to order food also. Drink came back in 5 minutes and food came back in 12 minutes. One problem.... Where was my side of corn beef hash? I asked her and said let me go check. 5 minutes later I get the hash. They must have forgot it. - ice water, well it's ice and water and was good - Bloody Mary, nothing cray, just a standard bloody Mary - side of corn beef hash, disappointing seemed like out of the can corn beef hash - classic Eggs Benny, hollandaise was coagulated, eggs were flat which I thought was odd but very good yolks -Ham, cooked good but really thin like deli ham -Home Fries, Bland, Bland, Bland, please fix these! Wow the Morin's makeover is wonderful! So beautiful, it gives warm welcoming hip vibes. The menu is plentiful and the wait staff was great. So many options, whether you're feeling just apps at their lovely HUGE bar with some cocktails or a sit down entree meal. I did choose a Tuesday special as my meal, 1/2 brick chicken with mashed potatoes. I do feel like my food was cooked really well but was bland. Maybe it was the choice I made, but I found both my apps dessert and chicken bland. I expected some spices taste on the chicken skin. The carrot side was plentiful and tasty. Again, it may have just been that choice as my family really liked their meals. My dad has the steak tips and he said he could taste the flavor (whiskey I think? Don't quote me I didn't read his) and my mom had the burger with the corn beef which she loved and it was so much food! I will definitely be back, and will update this review if I have a better food experience. read more

This place has improved so much since the last time I visited. The food has gotten way better and the inside has gotten better.

Oh, Morin's. I have been twice to Morin's since they have updated the interior. It looks FANTASTIC!! They really did a great job with that. Unfortunately, the food is still pretty mid. A dish that I have really liked was the fish tacos. The calamari was alright, too. I did not enjoy the Caesar Wrap, however, it was just too dry for my liking. More Caesar could have fixed it perhaps. My brother seemed to have enjoyed his buffalo chicken mac and cheese, though, and my mom liked her chicken pot pie. I have also heard from my sources that since the renovation, their coffee is a lot better - although I have yet to go for breakfast to test this for myself. What I like most about Morin's is its location, which is right in the heart of downtown Attleboro. There's also its icon status as an establishment graced by the presence of the one and only Guy Fieri, but I have yet to see his portrait returned to the walls. The new vibe is a bit more high-class than before (don't worry, it's very much still casual dining) and I will refrain from using the phrase "putting lipstick on a pig" because I respect local restaurants too much. I believe they have been hosting some weekly events as well, which I think is very important to the community. Morin's is the kind of place you always come back to, even if you do not want to, and that's okay. I love their remodel. They went from small, uninspiring rooms with old booths. A medium size bar in another small room, with inexpensive comfort foods, to a large room, large horseshoe bar that looks out to the street with a wall of windows. Comfortable chairs and an upscale feel. I've only had a bloody and an Irish Benny for breakfast. It was very good and it's obviously they made the hollandaise sauce. My compliments on the remodel. Went in for a late dinner on Saturday evening. Love what they've done with the place didn't even feel like we were in Attleboro. Both Service and food were very good. We had spinach and artichoke dip and calamari appetizer a few cocktails. We decided to split an entrée and save a room for dessert. Everything was great. The only thing I would change is the lighting. It was a little bright in the bar area for a Saturday night. Maybe just a little dimmer would make it a little bit more comfortable. I was excited to visit the new, renovated Morin's Hometown Bar and Grille. Morin's is such a staple in the community that it was exciting to see the updated space. The decor was beautiful and expensive looking, but there is still a nod to the past with poster sized images from the past. The luncheon menu was small, but they allowed us to pick from the dinner menu and have the French Meat Pie with mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and mushroom gravy. The serving size was large, but sooo delicious! I ate all that I could but I still brought a good portion of everything to bring home. Too full for dessert. The staff could not have been nicer, from the hostess to our waiter, they were friendly and anxious to please. I look forward to visiting again soon!! read more

If you like eating sub par ingredients from Sysco created without love or a real chef, and you don't mind mid service, than this is the place for you. of all the places in the area to choose, this one only hits if you're elderly or cant drive so you can't get to a better restaurant. if anything, breakfast is your best bet, definitely not dinner and avoid the specials at all costs. mold and grime behind the bar, serveral other health related issues. also service is lacking as well as competency . read more

To bad, super sad. Terrible terrible service at the bar! Had to ask for the bar to be cleaned, had to ask for a drink menu and waited and waited between all that , getting drinks all of it. Bartender definitely needs backup or another bartender on duty. This is the problem. Should retrain staff to go along on good service with new look. We were regulars for years at Morins prior to renovation. We were worried that the feel may not be the same after the renovations, we couldn't have been so wrong! The interior is amazing. The bar has at least 3 dozen seats with plenty of Tv's to watch your favorite games and their dining rooms and furniture are so comfortable. We have gone back for breakfast, lunch and dinner many times since the reopening. I can say that it was a bumpy start, but with all things new, including servers, bartenders and chefs you need to expect that. We are now happy to say they are knocking it out of the park with food, ambience and service. We just went for breakfast a few days ago and I got the Eggs Benedict and it was awesome. All the way down to the Bolo Portuguese English muffin. Morins will be keeping these regulars. read more

Morin's has been here....forever? Well, a long time. Park on street or in a public lot. Wait to be seated. There are a couple of dining areas. A few steps up to enter the restaurant, then a few steps down to reach the second dining area. Restroom is off the first dining area which is booth seating. They also have a pastry/cake display if you are craving some take out or after meal sweets. I had breakfast while the rest of my group had lunch. All the breakfast items you'd expect, sandwiches, salads, specials. Solid diner fare. Staff are friendly, restaurant clean, atmosphere is family friendly diner. My spouse loves riding trains. So, we took the commuter rail from South Station to Attleboro as just one of the legs. My first trip there ever! We ate earlier at Faneuil Hall but were ready for a gnosh. Got a giant pretzel on the 'diner' side. Morin's is clean, newly renovated and our server was genuinely welcoming. We have lived in the area for years. My husband 73 years. We have eaten there several times. Tonight was terrible. I had a primavera special. I think there were 5-6 ravioli. But it was just gross. Three out of 5 had fish n chips. 20 bucks isnt cheap. They up charge if you ask for extra tarter sauce. I get everything costs money but seriously. Our waitress wasnt great. She didnt tell us they add on the tip for parties over 5. So we tipped on top of that. Pretty sure she knew that would happen. We barely go out to eat anymore because since Covid everything is expensive and just isnt good. It was the last time for us. The remodel does look nice. Im just shocked the place was packed. I ordered a cup of chicken rice soup that had no chicken, lots of rice, onions and carrots in what appeared to be chicken broth it was tasteless. Fabulous food! What a terrific remodel inside- where are we? Here in Attleboro we have a posh restaurant with fabulous food- you think you're in ambiance haven! Try the fish and chips - similar to what you'd get in the U.K. The Mediterranean bowl is delish- homemade hummus, tahini sauce and homemade pita bread- out of this world. Try with added chicken or shrimp. Incredible service, top notch ambiance and fabulous food! Chef is spot on! Will be back real soon. Love Morins! read more

Zero Stars! Went last week...my wife asked for a burger well done...burger came back rare. Sent it back...and specifically told them to take their time...it was 4pm and were planning on watching the Sox game. Burger eventually returned...IN THE SAME STATE. I mean how can you screw up a burger 2x??? Even the barmaid was like 'that's not done'. They did take it off the bill but messing up the order...TWICE...and the general lackadaisical attitude by the staff does not warrant any kind of a second visit. MUCH better places out there to spend hard earned $. As a postscript... I posted the same review on a local FB Page. Was promptly deleted by the Mod...an individual who shares his name with the restaurant. Deleting negative reviews instead of addressing/dealing with issues kinda let's one know what kind of owners/operators you're dealing with. Gave it another try since reopening. Service was good. Drinks were strong, too strong.. you couldn't taste anything else. Got poutine as an app and it was delicious (now that it's not mushroom gravy). And they finally brought back our old faves so we decided to try a few. Buffalo Mac-n-cheese didn't taste like buffalo, it tasted like franks red hot sauce, not good. And the chicken pot pie.. the veggies were not cooked, and it was full of huge chunks of uncooked onion. So much so that you couldn't taste anything else. It was like onion pot pie. And it bothered me all night. We miss our old Morin's so much. My recent experience is whenever a restaurant has a function going on, regular customers get awful service. Such was the case today at Morins. We were enjoying our lunch until about 50 youth cheerleaders came in for the function room. Then we never saw our server again. We ended up being the only customers left in the far room. I think she forgot we were there. I asked the bartender to tell our server to come over. No luck. Then I asked the bartender to have the manager to come over. Finally, our server came over with the bill. We settled up quickly. Then the manager came over. I told her you need to serve customers who show up first. She agreed and apologized. Total wait time for our bill was 30 minutes. Looks like I'm taking Morins off our rotation for quite a while. read more

New renovations are great! It's absolutely beautiful! Server and staff were great. I had the lavender mule (I subbed the vodka for bourbon) but drink was delicious. Menu was limited. Was really craving my old favorite, fisherman stew...but it's not on the new menu. Actually none of our faves are. We were hoping for an updated version of the old classic we loved and it's not that at all. We really struggled to find something on the menu we wanted. Our fault for not checking first. But we were just excited to get back to one of our favorite spots. We will be in for breakfast soon. And we'll be keeping an eye on the dinner menu. I've been coming here my entire life.
