The service is good but sometimes I wonder if I should have ordered online because they are so busy making to go orders that they ignore the customers in front of them and the line ends up crazy long. They need a second set up to prepare to go orders like chipotle has. And bring a sweater because it's always uncomfortably cold in there while eating. I wanna start by saying I absolutely love café zuppa in general. I've always gone to the Riverdale one, but I was closer to this one so I went here the other day. I bought the strawberry harvest salad, one of the bowls and one of the sandwiches. I usually do this, and it lasts me for at least a couple of days. The sandwich hardly had any meat in it at all. The salad had already wilted greens with only about one strawberry and maybe an eighth of an apple sliced. These things should make up at least half of the salad . Very pitiful and not good at all. The bowl didn't seem to have as much stuff on it and the greens were also wilted at the bottom. Thankfully, this wasn't my first experience at Café zuppa or I never would have gone back. If you're going to go here go to the one on Riverdale. They are so delicious!! Also the chocolate covered strawberries were hardly pink/ripe. read more

Worst $12 salad I've had in a long time. PLUS when I ordered online I put in customizations and even though there was a sticker on the lid listing them they didn't follow the instructions. When I went to pick up my order it wasn't at the pickup shelves it said you had to ask the cashier for it. Well the cashier ignored me for quite a while until I started to go get it myself. This would be fine if they were busy but they had no line. They said very rudely "that will be a minute we have a lot of huge orders in front of you". Multiple visits resulting in upset stomach. My wife had already refused to continue ordering from this location. The final "nail" was a severe norovirus infection for me and my child which I am very confident came from this location. This is based on being the only common meal we had in a 48 hour period and onset of symptoms about 12 hours after the meal. A coworker recommended this place and it did not disappoint! The place was clean and inviting when you first walk in. The staff was friendly and super helpful explaining the menu and in a hurry since it was the start of the lunch rush. The Lobster Bisque soup was delicious! The club sandwich and Cobb salad was also good. The refreshers were a nice option, although I prefer unsweetened iced tea but that was not an option, with way I'd visit again and highly recommend it! read more

The food is delicious and proven to be fresh! I love watching them make it for you on the line. Everything was so delicious, it honestly tasted like a good fresh out of a garden salad (the mango berry) - sandwiches never disappoint and the presentation of the salad and soup were impeccable. this is my favorite restaurant by far and the BEST location. I consistently order around 1-2 times a week and I have never had one complaint. The building is also well kept and clean, very open with LOTS of windows which i love. Let me start by saying that I love Zupas and have been to several of their locations. I've even had perfectly fine experiences at this location in the past. However today was so disappointing. It was a complete cluster- and it wasn't even that busy! I ordered a soup/salad combo and somewhere in the line, my salad was given to someone else. At check out, I specified that my salad had extra chicken to help the poor kid figure out what he should be giving me. My salad wasn't there, so he took presumably someone else's salad and added chicken to it. The salad previously had no chicken on it and I responded with "this is extra chicken?" He told me yep, sorry about that... charged me for extra chicken. Definitely was not extra chicken. The food was tasty I'm just really disappointed with the service today and the fact that I paid for something that was not delivered. read more

Walked in right before they closed early for a "team meeting" tonight. Was greeted with annoyed expressions, curt responses and absolutely sloppy food with little to no additions to the lettuce they call a "salad". Must be so hard to give customer service to someone who walks in, promptly orders, pays with cash and tries to be quick so they can get to their team meeting. Let's hope they touch on trying to be more friendly, hiding chronic RBF, numerous eye rolls, and actually giving people food that doesn't resemble dog food. I love zupas!! this isnt my favorite location and they always forget my crackers when I ask for extra when I get curbside pickup. so I have to walk inside in my pjs go up to the ppl at the counter and say "can I have crackers" and then leave. it isnt a big deal but it happened twice and both times I was embarrassed. but the delicious food always makes up for it:)) read more

I am a huge cafe Zupas fan, but I was a little weary when I saw the reviews for this location. My Mother and sister and I came here for lunch and there was no line which was surprising because the place was very busy. We were helped quickly and efficiently and all of the employees that we worked with were very knowledgeable about the ingredients in each dish. The offer was completed perfectly and the food was delicious. Despite it being busy, every table that wasn't occupied, which was about 3, was spotless. The staff here is very rude and careless. This is the second time I found chunks of beef in my vegetarian salad. When I brought this to the attention of the store manager, forget apology, she was justifying the contamination citing that it was an open kitchen. I absolutely love the concept that Zupas is bringing to the market, but NEVER ordering from them again if this is their attitude. They should know that McDonald's was sued for representing french fries as vegetarian when customers found out that the oil had lard in it. Horrible customer service and quality control! I took a door dash delivery for these guys today. The, in-app, pick up instructions are clear and concise (as most are). I was instructed to find parking and enter via the west side entrance (I did as directed). Further instructions directed me to the North East corner of the dining area- where I would find a rack designated for courier pick up. So up to this point is a pretty normal run for me. I love this new location! The decor is beautiful and has a lot more seating than the Riverdale location. I have eaten at the 12th street location three times and always found the dining room clean and the employees friendly, courteous, and quick--which is pretty impressive for a new restaurant. Now for Zupas food in general--yum! My only complaint is that it's too hard to choose! If I had to pick one favorite meal it would be the bbq pulled pork sandwich and bbq chicken salad. I love that the dressing is on every bite without being too heavy. I am also a fan of the ultimate grilled cheese (lives up to its name) and tomato basil soup with orzo pasta.
