At the recommendation of a employee at another store while we were shopping on Christmas Eve, we…read morestopped here to get coffee from a local spot. It is located in the Centre Market, along with many other shops and food spots. The girls working were very nice and lovely to converse with! We asked if they do a "medicine ball" -type drink, and one of the girls texted another person to make sure it was correctly made (she said not explicitly on the menu but they make it at customers request!) We got the tea, a seasonal latte, and a drink from their surprise jar. They have a jar with various drinks on pieces of paper, and you can pick one at random to be made if you are looking for something new or want a surprise! I never saw this before at a coffee shop and thought it was awesome. All of the drinks were great and the shop's ambiance is quaint and cozy. They are in the market amongst other shops, and have plenty of seats and tables to spread out at. If I lived in the area, I would come here to hang out or to meet up with friends. Would highly recommend the shop and will stop back when I am in the area!

I sat and watched her with other customers thinking it might've been me but she treated the next 3 people the same way. I thought the market looked great but unfortunately I won't be stopping to get a coffee there again.

Stopped in to this cute coffee shop for breakfast and saw "grab a flight with a friend" & could not…read moreresist! We got their birthday cake flight not knowing what to expect and as soon as this was brought to our table this flight exceeded all of our expectations absolutely amazing! Each coffee had a different flavor of yummy goodness and I didn't want it to end. For breakfast we just had egg and cheese croissants and they were delicious! Sitting inside was fun with games and books to read as well as good music. & The staff was so friendly and immediately great vibes. Also very patient. They were super busy at one point and still brought everything to the table. I also got to taste the blueberry smoothie and it was so so good!! We're not from here but already said on our next trip back this is a must!!

The only redeeming quality seems to be that they're open on Sundays, which a lot of places in Wheeling aren't. I never recommend this place to out of town friends if I can help it, especially since we have SEVERAL truly top notch coffee shops and cafes in the area within walking distance of this place. Truly, I wish it was better because it's well located and convenient. If they would just focus on making a FEW menu items WELL with high quality ingredients and have all prices listed, they would gain another star for sure. This could be a destination cafe within Wheeling and it currently is not.

Whisk is simply one of the best lunch/bakery/catering places you will find in the Ohio Valley. We…read moreeat there almost weekly for lunch (and of course to grab a couple flavors of cupcakes to try!), have used them many many times to cater small events (bridal showers, birthdays, etc) and recently asked them if they could make cupcakes for the cookie table for our wedding! I think the total came out to just shy of 500 mini-cupcakes in 5 different flavors... They were all beautiful (photo credit: Hannah Barlow Photography) and absolutely DELICIOUS! We were worried with all the cupcakes and cookies from friends that we would have a ton of leftovers, but those cupcakes went FAST! We can't thank or recommend them highly enough, they are the best! Oh, and the cake! They also did our wedding cake, we wanted something small (just for the two of us), elegant, and fun, and they absolutely nailed it! Perfect and delicious and we are not proud of the amount of cake we have eaten - it's just so good!

UPDATED REVIEW:…read more Ordered a round tier cake for a family celebration. Icing flowers on top were beautiful but icing on the side was a combination of too many colors and some bare brown spots(side colors weren't requested but would have been fine if it would have looked better). Buttercream icing tasted delicious however it was too thick and looked like it was used to fill where the top tier was slanted equaling too much icing and not enough cake. The cake tasted good but not great because the texture was too airy, very crumbly, and lacked some in flavor. Overall my opinion is that it tasted better than some cakes made from a box and even some grocery store cakes but it left a lot to be desired as bakery cake made from scratch. Additionally, I ordered a dozen mixed berry scones. These scones did not taste as good as the scones I ordered from Whisk a couple years ago. I nuked them to soften and warm but unfortunately the mixed berries were hardly tasted or seen and a flour type taste overwhelmed my palate.

There aren't a ton of tables but enough to accommodate 20-30 people in total across various tables. The menu was a little intimidating for me as brunch isn't anything I've ever had. But it's basically a breakfast menu and a lunch menu. They also have a nice bakery selection as well. I went with the caprese and a salad. I made a slight mistake and didn't read everything that came on the sandwich. As an avid carnivore I was a little disappointed to find out it was vegetarian, but that was before I tried it. The combination of the creamy mozzarella, tomato and balsamic was fantastic. It was probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Im hoping the next time we stop in they aren't out of their salty bread to try with it. My wife tried the turkey, Brie and apple butter sandwich. Her's was my favorite of the two. They lightly toast the sandwich so everything is warm and creamy. The apple butter pairs nicely with the Brie and the smokey turkey. I'd recommend both of our sandwiches but if mine was an 8/10 hers was a 10 for me. I also had their house salad on the side. It wasn't anything extra special but the cranberries were a really nice touch to take it to the next level. If I had even one complaint to make it would be the hours. I'm sure they close at 2 because most people because they're a brunch spot, but with the quality of their food i would eat it for any meal of the day. I can't recommend it enough honestly.

When we walked in, there was an unsmiling staff member who just continued to stamp bags while we awkwardly just stood there. However, the rest of the staff was friendly. They have a great menu with interesting options. My husband enjoyed his breakfast sandwich. My quiche was tasty, but while piping hot on the outside, it wasn't even room temp in the middle. I also didn't like having to drink my water out of a plastic cup, but would be happy to stop by this place again
