    Cheese Dip

Wheels down, landed in State College for the Big game! Thursday afternoon, the sun is out and I'm at Cafe! If you are looking for a cool place with a good vibe to hang out this is the place! They are known for their Pitchers of Teas... the ones with Alcohol!!! I started off with the Miami Vice, this is my favorite! We also ordered some chips and cheese dip. You will need some food in the tank if you plan to be here a couple hours! Second Tea was a Long Beach and this is my second favorite! And then I closed out with another Miami Beach, this is a must have! Service was awesome! We sat outside and enjoyed the sun and enjoyed watching the people that walk by! They also have bands that play inside on the weekends, so check out their schedule. What are you waiting for... Cheers!

This place hasn't missed a beat. There was a band in the back dining room, Cafe teas floating in practically everyone's hands and a crowd blended of students, alumni, parents & locals. The service was quick and attentive for early afternoon on a Friday. I got a satisfying cheesesteak and Cafe Tea for less than 30 dollars. Bless this place !

Sour Apple Tea and Yuengling Lager

This place has a really nice outside dining area and garage doors that open up the walls of the restaurant to College Ave. It is fun place to hang out, people watch and order from a big selection of LIIT variations. I opted for the sour apple and my husband ordered a Yuengling. My drink was not very cold but it was tasty. The service was prompt and friendly but we made the mistake of ordering the Buffalo Chicken Dip. It was not good at all with it being a small quantity of dip and maybe 2-3 big pieces of chicken in the dip. We think it should have been a more minced chicken throughout. Although there were plenty of tortill chips to dip, the tortilla chips were just bad. We wondered where the Tostitos were! Or any other brand or no name tortilla chips for that matter. It would have made the dip way better than the subpar hard tortilla triangles that was served with it. Next time we may order chicken wings. You can't go wrong there, right?

AYO. This bar is so fun for drinks, and ambiance but the food absolutely blows. It's like they went to the local dollar general and grabbed whatever they could find. I hope I'm not sick later lol

Solid college bar with good bar food! We tried the long islands (Miami beach recommended) and the blueberry frozen drink... both very good. Cheese fries and buff dip were both pretty good too. Nice outdoor area to hang out.

Solid, no frills water. It is cold and has ice. I do wish it was given in a larger cup.

I've been to Cafe 210 several times for random reasons. Last time I visited, I realized I didn't pay cover, and I told the bouncer on my way out. He said to not worry. (I guess I dropped enough at the bar, but I paid the few bucks anyway.) Apparently there's a restaurant past the front patio and bar, but I've never seen it for myself. Patrons are pretty friendly, with a few folks dancing, but most usually sit, especially at the front patio. (After a few shots of tequila, sitting isn't the worst idea.) It gets crowded, but I've never had issues getting a bartender's attention. Bartenders haven't always been the friendliest, not sure what's up with that? But hey, your mileage may vary. Cafe 210 isn't worth waiting in line for, but it isn't a bad stop if you're hitting multiple bars.

Patio in front and in rear very nice for our group on a beautiful night. Servers were nice, but slow. Food was average. Didn't try the tea.

Great college atmosphere. Can be a little packed when school is in session but during the summers it's pretty chilled out.

We tried stopping in once before and they were completely booked for the night. This time we planned ahead, made a reservation, and were seated right away. At the recommendation of our waitress, we all ordered the chicken and waffles special, and every single person loved it. It was absolutely delicious. I also had the Reuben soup and it was very tasty. They also have a wonderful beer selection. I tried the blueberry beer, which was very tasty with a smooth blueberry finish that really stood out. Just not sure about the merinara sauce to go with the fries. Of the beers I tried, my favorite was the Swish (Swedish Fish-inspired sour beer). Least favorite was that the cocktails that we ordered at the bar before the cocktail-making demo was not included with the prepurchased tickets. Second floor of the restaurant has a lot of taxidermy (not my thing, but may be a lot of other people's), and game tables, like pool. Will be back!

It's different than most in the area. You don't get the same kind of crowd. It's not the college student flooding the doors. It's adults professionals families coming to have a good time in a calm, relaxed pub they're not looking to spend hours knocking back shots or blinding up drinks you can if you want, but it's more sophisticated than other bars in the area, it's found in the same building as the tavern, which is also a great restaurant, but at Adams apple, you don't need to spend the same amount of money as a whole meal. They got good appetizers and great drinks of the restaurant is wonderful old Tavern style of a pub that has a good sized bar to sit in the winter they have a fireplace. The aroma smells wonderful because of all the drinks and to top it. The old fashioned was mixed appropriately, served over a cube with an amerana cherry and a fruit peel. The Original Sin isn't as I remember but that could easily be me. The drink is for those that don't drink and tasted like seltzer with grenadine. In actuality, the Original Sin is champagne with cherry brandy. The prices are a little high for State College and the Old Fashioned was delivered in a slightly non-traditional glassware for the drink. The Old Fashioned pour was also stingy.

It's next door to the hotel and when we went it wasn't so busy that we were ignored but they staff were certainly being kept on their toes (Father's Day weekend, graduations, hotel guests...). They have both indoor seating (complete with a bar if you'd like to sit there) and a really nice looking patio area. The food was fantastic. Our server was great too; she was really friendly and helpful with recommendations. I ordered the reuben sandwich, which was deeeelicious. The salmon was apparently wonderful too, from what my partner said. And I ordered the macaroni and cheese from the kids menu but it was huge. My baby loved it and since it was so huge there was too much for her, so I had the rest at a later time. They had a really good strawberry lemonade, of which we (my daughter and I, because of course she had to have some) drank several glasses. Our server even brought me a to-go cup of it because she said it looked like we were slowing down and may be near finishing. I didn't ask her to bring me a cup of it to go, and wouldn't have thought to ask, so I was very happy she brought it for the rest of our ride to Cleveland. But perhaps my favorite part of the meal were the appetizers. We ordered some macaroni and jalapeño bites which were a hit as far as myself and the little one were concerned, with not too much heat that she could enjoy them. The restaurant has a Brussels sprouts appetizer, but they do it as an "of the week" special. The week we were here it was inspired by elote, so it had some corn and cheese and stuff on it and they were so good. I love Brussels sprouts, and will happily try them prepared in a new way. As of June 2026, I think they are short staffed. Our food took a little longer than usual but that was ok; it gave us a chance to chat and relax. Just be patient if you visit in the near future since they are down an employee or two! But even with that, it was a pleasant evening, the staff were fantastic and helpful, and the food totally hit the spot.
