After a morning of hiking up Bartonville Mt, and enjoying the beautiful weather and views, Kim and I decided to have lunch at the Hub, located right by the trailhead. We both opted for the Adirondack Gobbler, which is basically sliced turkey, sliced apple, sharp cheddar, bacon and maple mayo on a panini, with a side of kettle chips. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We got amazing recommendations from a female bartender for things to do out here as we are on vacation. The wine and beer were both fantastic. Made the trek from Burlington VT for a sculling lesson on Brant Lake with Adirondack Rowing / and the instructor recommended The Hub when we were starving by the end! Had a sandwich and a beer here and was really disappointed. Sandwich was expensive and had just one very thin slice of meat! When I complained I the owner, he instead of correcting the situation blamed the help as being new and inexperienced! He's the blame for not training the staff! He did not adjust the bill but gave me another beer. Have not returned and will likely not. read more

Nice place to visit if you are passing through Brant Lake, or perhaps staying at a nearby lake house for an extended weekend. The building serves multiple purposes, as there is a bike shop along with a kitchen and bar serving local craft beers. The service is friendly, and there weren't a lot of guests inside the establishment when we arrived, so we had our pick of seats at the bar. The place is spacious, and advertises music on certain nights, so I imagine they get a nice local crowd during these events with not much competition in the surrounding area. The food was ok, the beer much better. We ordered the naan bread and pizza as light snacks to enjoy with our beer, and the Naan was ok, and the pizza -- well, it reminded me of what I'd make in my kitchen during college with spare ingredients. Not something I'd prefer to pay for.. However, I did not come to Brant Lake for pizza and they had a great selection of craft beer, so we stayed for a bit trying out the various ales and lagers -- quite satisfying for drinks. I would definitely visit the hub again, just skipping the pizza and going straight for the beer next time. I did see they serve ice cream, so if I ever happen to pass by in the summer, I'd definitely update my review with some ice cream insight next time. read more

Wonderfully quirky! A great selection of wine and local beers. The bar tender was friendly with a great sense of humor. Right on the village pond. The food wasn't necessarily something to write home about. Comforting in that it was something your mom might have made for a quick summer lunch back in the day, but over-priced. The Hub is one of my favorite stops for a day trip in the Adirondacks and gets better each year. It's my go-to stop after fishing, hiking, or biking on the Hub's well-maintained, FREE trail network. The staff and people are friendly and knowledgable, the food and beer is always fresh, and there's no shortage of things to do -- rain or shine. It's also very accessible, just minutes off I-87. I was a little worried with the great reviews before me. Were they plants? No way. This is a great place to hang. The food is basic, incredibly good and well priced. This is not bar food. The Personal pizzas and paninis rocked. The bar features great local craft beers and a full wine selection. Again all well priced. Finally, there is live music some nights, ice cream, and, yes really, bike repairs. All in all, nice people doing great business. I only wish they were closer to my home! read more

When I visit Brant Lake, I make a point of visiting The Hub. It has a very good craft beer selection and decent food. This evening there was a band playing old time rock and roll...at times a bit loud for my taste but certainly not so loud to scare me away. read more

First time stopping in. Friday night and the place is absolutely dead, terrible music, and food was not the best, especially for the price they charge. The dining tables are old school lunch / library tables. I understand people are in a budget but come on. Bar stools were kinda cool though. read more

Awesome beers on tap, and SUPER great location for those looking to mountain bike in the ADKs. This is a great thing they have going, bike shop + food + great bar + mtb trails in the literal backyard. The salads are awesome. Sandwiches are pretty good. My kids loved the pizzas, but for pizza aficionados these will be a bit of a letdown--built on packaged naan for crusts. A lot here is great--like the extensive, varied, local tap list for beers, location, and legit biking vibe. I just wish for a few more things, like a nice dining patio on one of the sides overlooking the Brant Lake Mill Pond, and a better menu. (Real pizza crusts? Creative burger selection?) Hopefully things like this will come soon? In short, it's a great place and I'm glad it's here and you should go after a good day's bike ride (or not) and if we support them perhaps in the not-too-distant future they will be even more awesome. We love the combination bike repair/rest stop/luncheon/bar! With a waterfront view and acoustic tunes, we relaxed with our lunches at the bar. Local feel is everywhere: from the pint glasses with our camp logo, to local maps, to cyclists refueling next to us. I had a Belgian Waffle with NY maple syrup and my fiance had a pastrami sandwich with chips. He picked up a tire for his mountain bike as well (focused strictly on repairs--no bikes for sale). Hub is in an older house which adds to its charm. The bathrooms are adorable. This is Hub's third summer in operation. What a little gem. We Yelped this place coming down from lake placid. All the places there were overpriced and had poor selection. This place we ran into off the hwy. glad we did. The owner is a super nice guy. We had an incredible view while we ate on a private deck. Food was good and very well priced. An overall great find. Welcome addition to the Brant Lake area.  The guys who run the place are eager to please and they sure do.  My husband and I stopped in for lunch and a beer and we were very happy we did.  The paninis were EXCELLENT and the beer list as good as you can find.  Mainly local microbrewery with something to please all palates.  The location is beautiful and the atmosphere laid back and comfortable.   Drew & Noah also run attached bike shop. Stopped here on our way up north. Great place to stop off of i87. Adirondack gobbler panini and minestrone soup were great. Nice outdoor eating space so our dog could join us. The local beer selection was great. Definitely a place to stop. The service was very nice. read more

We were in the area for a weekend and found this place because of it's convenient hours, but were much more enthralled with it's atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, they have a great local beer list, and the food was really good. It was a Saturday night and they had a local artists playing music that really helped sell the atmosphere. Everybody was incredibly friendly. Our first day on vacation went in for breakfast with my 11 year old son. We were staying nearby in a cabin on Brant Lake. I looked at the menu and asked if they could make an omelette. The kid behind the counter asked the woman (cook) and she looked at me and answered No! I said ok, how about scrambled eggs? She said fine and my son ordered pancakes. 10 minutes later we were brought 3 hard pancakes and runny eggs. We didn't go back. Decent food. Poor service. Service was extremely slow and they were not busy at all. I went to ask for extra dressing at the counter from what appeared to be the manager. When I mentioned my request he said ok and kept counting money. I had to ask if he was going to bring it out or if I should wait. He said he would bring it out. He did not shout back to anyone or mention anything he just kept counting the money. I never received any additional dressing. The food is average and a little dry. read more
