The place is vibrant and has a great atmosphere. Service was friendly and welcoming. The calamari was ok. The breading is slightly excessive, feels like a breading made for fried chicken. Bell pepper taste is very present and the calamari come mixed with bell peppers. I felt I ate more peppers than I ate calamari. Cacio e Pepe was really good, I really recommend. It was creamy and flavorful with a perfectly balanced taste. Quesabirria tacos were also pretty good. Don't expect an authentic taco or traditional consome to dip the taco but it is original and very tasty. The meat is really tender and flavorful, the dipping soup is slightly dense but works as a salsa and goes really well with the taco. Overall very pleased with the taco. The side of corn has a nice sauce but the raw onion makes it feel like pico de gallo. Very fresh but not my cup of tea.

Great location near the hotel I stayed at to have a sit down meal to tide me over until I was on my cruise. No wait for a table for one outside. I was taken care of throughout my dining experience even with adjuatment to my bill because the eggs with my entree were not to my liking. I even tried dressing them up with hot sauce. It just wasn't tasty. I didn't ask for the adjustment; my waiter on my behalf asked for it. I basically did not get charged the automatic service charge with the adjustment, which I was appreciative of! The rest of the meal was satisfying: the coffee was fresh, the bacon crispy and meaty, the hash browns also crispy with pillowy soft insides, and the multigrain toast- not overly toated. The black currant jam is a must try! This was a throwback to see since my Grandma use to make homemade jam! It was nostalgic to enjoy and partake of. In fact, I finished off the whole little jar before I knew it. Oops! I think CA knows that will happen, which is why 3 of the jars on the table were Black Currant. All in all, convenient and filling meal. It has high reviews on Yelp for a reason, so give ir a try and stop by.

Café Americano in Miami Beach is the kind of place where the food punches your taste buds in the best way possible -- bold, flavorful, and totally satisfying. Whether you're craving a hearty brunch or a tasty dinner, everything feels like a mini celebration on your plate. I'm pretty sure my dish was doing a happy dance before it even hit the table. But the real MVP was Gisselle, our waitress, who served up kindness with every smile. She was so warm and attentive that I almost asked if she gave lessons on how to make customers feel like royalty. If the food is the star, Gisselle is definitely the dazzling spotlight making the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend--come for the food, stay for the charm!

Came here for a nice girl's brunch and overall it was solid! The outdoor patio is super cute with beautiful views, and the indoor space is spacious and has a fun vibe with the bar and bright colors. The breakfast potatoes were probably the high light. The breakfast burrito was alright, a little mushy but not bad. The tres leches French toast was a very sweet treat, it tasted more cinnamon and sugar than tres leches but was yummy nonetheless. The coffee was also pretty good, and I had a simple Americano and they gave me a refill in a to go cup which was a nice bonus. Would give this place another try if I was in the area but not sure I'd go out of my way to run back.

Was so disappointed! Saw a few photos from previous customers that there were iguanas but didn't see any! Other than that, food, service and location were great. There was some type of festival going on so there was plenty of people watching to go around. The shrimp bowl was like warm. Wasn't cold nor hot so not sure which would have been better. But still good and the portion was good size. Server was very friendly and always smiling.

Came here with a group of 4 ladies on a Thursday night. They have inside and outside seating right along Ocean Drive. We opted for outside so we could partake in some people watching while dining. We were brought to a table right out on the sidewalk and were promptly given some menus. 3 of us ordered beer and 1 person ordered the passion fruit martini. (Waiter's recommendation) it looked fabulous and she said it tasted really good. I ordered the Turkey Cobb Chop and it was really tasty and fresh with lots of turkey chunks and just the right amount of dressing. Two ladies had the Classic Steak Burgers with fries; and they both enjoyed every part: bun, steak patty, and the fries. The final member of our group had the Salmon Poke Bowl. It's a big portion with fresh salmon, radishes, cucumbers, sesame seeds, seaweed salad, avocado and rice. She loved it and took half of it to go. Our service was good too; and they added a 20% service charge which I personally like because it eliminates the guesswork. There are literally 100's of great restaurants in South Beach and dozens along Ocean Drive. I would still recommend Cafe Americano for at least one meal if you're visiting the area. They have a wide menu of food options and you won't be disappointed with the food, service, or location.

We visited the restaurant for breakfast twice during our stay. The first visit was okay, nothing particularly memorable, but good enough to return and try something new. On our second visit, I ordered the Birria Benedict, which sounded incredible on the menu: slow-cooked brisket birria, melted Mexican cheese, served on an artisanal English muffin, topped with soft poached eggs and chipotle hollandaise, with breakfast potatoes on the side. Unfortunately, the dish didn't deliver. While the meat was present and flavorful, the cheese -- which was clearly advertised as melted, was nowhere to be found. When I asked about it, I was told it was "mixed into the meat," but it didn't come through in texture or flavor the way you'd expect, especially compared to a traditional birria taco. The eggs were also disappointing. Instead of a soft poached egg with a runny yolk, mine was closer to medium-boiled. The English muffin was extremely thick, which threw off the balance of the dish -- maybe that's the "artisanal" part, but it didn't work well here. Service during this visit wasn't the best, it felt a bit slow and they didn't care. I will say the breakfast potatoes were excellent and probably the highlight of the meal. Overall, the Birria Benedict was a great idea on paper, but the execution fell short. I'd recommend sticking to simpler menu items if you visit.

Decided to hit up Ocean Drive in South Beach for breakfast. Stopped in at Café Americano. Like many of the restaurants on Ocean Drive, it was very touristy, very lively, very crowded even for a Sunday. Great breakfast menu, great selection of even breakfast cocktails and coffees and the best part was sitting outside. People everywhere, and from everywhere. Amazing cars riding up and down Ocean Drive with their music blasting. Beautiful weather, beautiful music beautiful and attentive staff. Overall great spot.

Stopped by for a bloody Maria and we are glad that we did. The drink was very good and came with two great tasting shrimps. Perfect beach feel with a great breeze blowing as we listened to easy listening music but beware it is pricey. 5 drinks came out to $140 (that's US currency). Service was outstanding and fast. You're not able to see the ocean from this view but still worth stopping by.

Ok enough place. Ever been to a place that's just Meh- food was mid. Little overpriced for what is was. Waitress was very nice. I wouldn't go back because there are enough places to go to to just be average in Miami- I wouldn't recommend but in no means saying don't go. This one is more on my style than maybe the restaurant

The lobster tail and steak getting more oily after a while, but because we are sitting outside(on the walk side), so the food getting cold more easily. My mom loves the French Toast with Cream and Honey, but I think it's good oily. Overall, the food is okay, but I don't think it's valuable for 20% fixed tips.

They have nice fluffy pancakes and great coffee. The restaurant is right by the beach so you can enjoy your meal and people watch. There's a constant breeze that's perfect for outdoor dining. I recommend the all American breakfast and the lox bagel, it comes with plenty of salmon. Skip the breakfast burrito, it was too soggy to pick up and eat. read more

We had to hit the patio scene on Ocean Drive again...and this place seemed very popular, so we thought it'd be a safe choice. First of all, I loved the vibe here...with great overhead music. They also had several fans that cooled the patio area. Also, I liked the diverse menu. Though "Americano" in name, the foods were very global...from Mexican and Cuban, to Italian and more. My husband went with their Baja Tacos and I got their Baked Rigatoni...and well, the foods were DEE-Lish! Both really, really good!! Given everything mentioned above, I would have normally given a 5 star rating...but I can't/won't. To put it bluntly, our waiter (Arturo) was terrible. He was really slow to come to our table (a good 10 minutes??)...with no apologies whatsoever for the delay. BTW, he had zero table-side manners, so to speak. No smiles, no nothing! He then messed up my drink order (I asked for Iced Latte, yet got the Hot Latte...though corrected). He also never stopped back to check on us. We never even got water lol! I had to flag down a busboy to get water. Then, this Arturo (or the restaurant) had the gall to self-tip 20%. Are you kidding me?!? His botchy service merited no more than 5-10% tops! Despite the bad, over-tipped service, I liked the restaurant...so may give it another try in the future. Hopefully we'll get another waiter? read more

The food was mid, the service was basically nonexistent, and our food sat on the counter for a long time before anyone brought it over. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Gratuity is already included, so the servers move at their own pace with no urgency at all. Honestly, save your money and time there are way better places out there. read more

For our last night in Miami and my pregnant wife wanted to eat pasta on Ocean Drive. We started with the Caesar salad which was made with a fresh dressing and came with a large Parmesan crisp garnish. Salad was very good. For some reason it came out with the rest of our meal which was chaotic on our small table and always a pain to eat quickly while the hot food cools. My wife got Baked Rigatoni with Salmon. The salmon was a bit under seasoned, but the pasta was a huge portion that came out in its baking dish and was very good. She had plenty of leftovers to take home. I hadn't been super excited by much on the menu, I was leaning towards a burger but was scrolling through Yelp looking for photos which there was almost no photos of. I did however see a photo of the nachos which looked great and locked me on the Nacho Burger. Burger was huge with tons of different flavors. It was cooked a little more rare than the medium-rare I'd asked for but it was ok (and still better than the medium well the waitress first suggested when I ordered). I typically hate when fries are served in cups or baskets because you never get enough, but this had almost too many (read: plenty for my wife to steal). If I was only having one meal on SoBe this probably wouldn't be it but overall decent and exceeded the expectation. read more

Good food. Good service. Good price, it seems - read the fine print at the bottom of the menu, "20% additional charge is added..." Definitely not hidden. Online menu too. My dish was $27 which is actually $32.40. Considering the location, $32.40 is not bad for us - so used to $35, $40, $50 dishes on vacations. "We are on vacation!" I added our usual 15-18% tips (18% this time because we were happy with the food and the service), before I saw the 20%. I let it go. Not sure any of that 20% goes to the waiter. Someone commented that additional charge is NOT a common practice in Florida. That may be true because we only encountered this one over 8 days stay, eating out at least twice a day. read more

Came here for late breakfast on vacation and the layout is super cute. Both back and front patio area has a turfy, magazine photo shoot layout. I ordered the South West omelette which came with potatoes and toast and two mango mimosas. The omelette itself was made perfect, but it lacked seasoning and that's the only reason they're getting 4 stars for my meal per say because the potatoes were great! My friends got the Carrot Cake French toast which looked and tasted great also ordered the Americano Breakfast sandwich with a Manhattan. Service was excellent && the waiter was excellent. I believe our bill was around 120$. Pretty standard price for Miami being that everyone charged 20% gratuity off top. read more

Definitely very touristy spot and no authentic food of any kind. We ordered the breakfast burrito and barbacoa chilaquiles. The burrito was ok, the tortilla chips for the chilaquiles were old, stale and hard. Also, they pour the salsa roja on top once the dish arrives at the table. Everywhere I've had chilaquiles usually they are very soft and bathed in salsa. Here they try to definitely skimp on it and you can tell. I sent the dish back and the manager was nice enough to replace the dish with something else. I ordered the burrata avocado toast, which was delicious but the bread was stale just like the tortilla chips. I also found a hair in my silverware set. Definitely won't ever be back. read more

Went there twice for breakfast during a stay in South Beach. Great location and we were able to enjoy a table on the sidwalk. Main reason I wanted to go back was because the Portuguese breakfast sausage was the best I've ever had, just delicious. (So good that I ordered an extra portion on the side the next morning!) Haven't been able to find any as good since then. Worth it for that reason alone! read more

I looked over at the rest of my party and told them that we had to eat there. We made our way to the host and ask for seating inside... well, I was wearing a ball cap, so I wasn't allowed to dine inside, but the roadside seating was offered... hey, I understand rules of apparel, but when you are appealing to "World Cup" fans... you could do worse than someone wearing just a ball cap. I understand that rules are rules, so I was satisfied with where we were seated at... besides, I was excited with the great smells that were emanating from inside of the restaurant. As I began to look at the menu, I will admit that I was a little shocked with the prices of the cuisine, but I got to thinking that this could be a high end joint, I was ok with it. I was financially prepared. A female server came over to our table and asked to take our drink order. I guess I must have offended her when she offered to serve us Aqua Panna water in the liter bottle for $12.00 a bottle, and my response was that my country raising refused to let me pay $12.00 a bottle for water, especially when you can order a case of it off of Amazon for $36.00 for a case of twelve bottles. I decided that I would settle for a good old southern staple of "sweet tea" to drink, which was seconded by another person in my group, while the third person decided to have a Sprite. Our server left us to go and fill our drink order and finally made her way back to us after about 15 minutes of being gone to advise us, that the "bar" informed her that they no longer had any sweet tea for the night. The time was 9:30pm and they were open for business till 12:00am, so I was a bit set back by this, but I wanted a steak. I ended up ordering a plain old tap water to drink because, well, I was not going to pay $12 for a bottle of water... I was not dying of thirst yet. So we ended up getting a lemonade brought to the table, a glass of water, and an eight ounce glass bottle of Sprite, at $5.00 a bottle. We got our drinks, so now let's talk about our food. I ordered a 14 ounce New York Strip steak, medium well... I'm getting older and don't digest uncooked food so well anymore, sadly. The rest of my party ordered the filet mignon medium rare, and the third finished off with the chicken parm plate. Our sides that we ordered were roasted brussel sprouts, and a loaded baked potato without chives. Now comes the good part... if you are still here, you are going to find out if they can cook a good steak or not... Well, we got our food after another lengthy wait. Now let me tell you, the guy who brought our food gave me one of the most beautiful cuts of steak that I think I have ever seen. It was definitely a New York Strip. I could already tell from the juices running in my plate that my steak was definitely undercooked. I looked over at my party's food and see the chicken parm, and I'm telling it looked and smelled great. The filet mignon smelled great but it appeared to be over cooked. From what I could tell, it looked like the cook got the order backwards. We cut into the respective steaks and my suspicion was right, the Filet Mignon was over cooked and the New York Strip was way undercooked. At this time, it is getting late. It is after 10pm and I had just finished a six hundred mile drive, I would have eaten my shoe if it was served right. I cut into my steak and began eating it. There was no flavor on the meat at all, I guess they don't use seasoning, other than the grilled garlic clove, that is to be used when eating the steak. I did get to taste the filet mignon, and it had way more flavor thank New York Strip. Sadly, I must have drawn the short straw on this meal. I was hungry and I was refusing to let a $70 steak go to waste, so I ate the entire cut of this steak. To bring this to a close I want to address the billing. They added a service charge to the receipt, which is something I have been used to if there was a large party, but for them to serve three people, I felt we should have been the once's to decide on the amount of the tip we leave our serve. This is to keep the server honest and make sure they take of the customer. The odd thing is I usually tip over 20 percent because I have family who are part of hospitality business. They make their living on tips. This night it didn't total up to what normally give... I was not inclined to give it either. I understand the goal is to make money, but I am a believer in taking care of your customer...Maybe it was the way I was dressed, or how I sounded with my southern draw, I feel like this restaurant really misread me and my group

First and foremost, do not waste your time or money coming here…read more As a Miami native, I was genuinely disappointed by both the food and the level of service. Unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations. We started with the "jumbo" wings, which were anything but jumbo. We received only flats, and they were some of the smallest wings I've ever been served. After bringing this to the staff's attention, we were told the manager would take 50% off the order. However, when the bill arrived, we were informed that the manager had already left and the discount could no longer be honored. Instead, we were given only the $4 happy hour discount, despite being promised otherwise. For our entrées, we ordered the brisket sandwich and the half chicken. Neither was worth ordering. The chicken lacked the crispy texture it was advertised to have, and the brisket was bland and without flavor. The sandwich was also supposed to come with truffle fries, but instead we were served cold, plain fries. After mentioning it, the solution was to bring us a side of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese and ask us to mix it ourselves. The service was equally disappointing. We asked our server twice for drink refills, but she never brought them. We eventually had to flag down another server just to get our beverages refilled. Overall, this was a frustrating dining experience from start to finish. Between the poor-quality food, unfulfilled promises regarding the bill, and inattentive service, this restaurant fell well below the standard I would expect from a Miami establishment. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues because the current level of food quality and customer service is simply unacceptable. and quality is embarrassing for miami.

I have to really like a place to take time out of my day to leave a review. This restaurant checked all of the boxes. Don't be fooled by the name, this is not a cafe. It's is an upscale restaurant with great prices. Our favorite in Miami this far. Our friend group tried just about every drink on the cocktail list and not one was out of place. I ordered the surf and turf and everything was perfect from the main dish to the sides. They made our friend's birthday memorable by bringing cake and singing-which normally would make us cringe because we hate putting our server through that torture-but they actually seemed to enjoy every minute of it and Roberto got down on one knee and fed her the first bite and gave us a great recommendation of where to go after. The staff went above and beyond, especially our server Cecilia, to make sure our experience was one to never forget. read more

I had the pleasure of staying at The Hotel Victor during my stay in Miami. Cafe Americano is connected to the hotel and offers a dope ambiance, food and service. The bartender Giuli and Lester were simply amazing! Giuli recommended the salmon for dinner and caramel apple brussel sprouts as a side, best meal I've had in Miami thus far! Giuli made the BEST blueberry lemon drop martini too! I came back a second night for dinner just for Giuli and her service. I tried the spicy shrimp scampi (another recommendation) from her and was blown away again. I tried a lychee martini as well and was not disappointed. Did I mention I ate breakfast twice here as well? Yeah, this spot is that good! I'll be back and I hope Giuli and Lester are still here. read more

On a gorgeous morning in Miami I paid a visit to cafe americano and I have absolutely no regrets. The location is incredible with palm trees and blue skies surrounding you. The service is impeccable especially Sandra who was my waitress. She was patient, thoughtful and checked on my often. I ordered the Denver omelette with a side of tomato sorry I ate it up so fast I didn't capture it. But trust me it's comforting and flavorful. I also ordered the mimosa flight! Have you ever had a strawberry mimosa? I haven't so this was my first! Thankfully I captured these so you can see how beautiful they are. Make this a must visit when you come to Miami Beach! I came here for breakfast and was blown away -- the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you're in the mood for classic eggs and bacon or something a bit more tropical, they've got you covered. What I really appreciated was the atmosphere: the music was at just the right volume (you can actually have a conversation!), and the overall vibe was relaxed but lively. Definitely the BEST spot for brunch on Ocean dr. It was our first stop arriving to Miami and made sure it was our last to end with the perfect meal. Yusi was amazing, very friendly, patient and made sure we understood the menu. The food is top tier, best pancakes I've ever had, French Toast was absolutely amazing with the freshest tastiest juiciest berry toppings but... The Huevos Rancheros are the real highlight here, literally made me tear up with the first bite. Every bite was a beautiful experience and I've never described food as such before. My girlfriend and I visited Miami. She has never been and I had only been once before. We read some good reviews of Cafe Americano. We got there and were welcomed by Carla. She immediately recommended we go inside because she said it was going to start to rain. We wanted to people watch but thank god we listened because a few minutes later it was pouring. We shared one of the best chicken Parma and Cesar salad ever. Everything was spot on including the two old fashion drinks. Carla couldn't have been more helpful, cheerful and enthusiastic. I ate here during a very long layover and was pleased to be assigned Jennifer as my server. She was so friendly, thorough, timely, and professional. She had no hesitation to allow my to sip while awaiting my layover and constantly made me feel accounted for and still important. 10/10 recommend her service and had a very nice (and unfortunately super long linger) at this establishment thanks to Jennifer. My wife, daughter, and I visited cafe americano on Saturday morning and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We ordered a burger and a burrito, both of which were delicious and exceeded our expectations. The restaurant's location is fantastic, offering a great view of the beach and an excellent spot for people-watching along Ocean Drive. My girlfriend used to work here since it's opening and told me the wait staff is extremely racist towards black people. If you're a minority don't expect the respect and service you deserve at Cafe Americano. The sad part is the racism starts from the managerial level...a sad young man who comes to work in a suit wearing dirty sneakers who allegedly sexually harasses his own staff. I'll be spending my hard earned money elsewhere read more

Cafe Americano at the Hotel Victor is one of the few super cool holdouts of the Miami Beach vibe. Great music, great food, great service. Carla was my waitress for dinner and she was great. I had drinks in the late afternoon by a different server, which tipped the scale on my dinner choice while walking the avenue. Consistently friendly and attentive service from the staff at this excellent fine dining restaurant. read more

Food is really good and service is great! My husband and I came to Miami for our 50th birthdays and Juan served us at breakfast. He was so nice and attentive that the few more times we went back, we made sure to sit at one of his tables. He treated us as family and is genuinely a very nice person!
