I wish I could rate Andreini's more favorably but since the service is so painfully slow and the prices are a bit higher than other coffee shops on Grand Ave. my experiences have been less than satisfactory. I've been going to Andreini's consistently for 8 or so months and it seems the service has gone down hill (and it was mediocre to start). One drink order means at minimum a 7 minute wait and if there are orders in front of yours you can count on an additional minute per drink. Andreini's location in the village is what keeps it running and is it's best offer. I really wish they would get it together! read more

Dropped in while passing through on a road trip. Our breakfast sandwiches were below par and even though freshly made, the flavor was off and I barely made it through the last bite. I didn't get any coffee but I did think it had a comfortable atmosphere and free wifi is nice for customers. I was a little turned off by the overwhelming number of crosses they were selling. I avoid trinket shops and prefer religiously-neutral venues so the full wall of faith-based nicknacks seemed a bit out of place. read more

Just moved to the area and I've come here 3 times. So far so good! The vanilla latte and breakfast burritos are both very good.

By far one of my favorite places to catch up with friends over a great cup of coffee. When we get together with the kids, there is plenty of room and some toys in the back to keep the kiddos occupied. When I come without the little ones, I love taking advantage of the outdoor seating. This has been my Go To place for attending my Tuesday morning conference call. The staff is always friendly and the coffee snacks an food is delicious. If you have a chance try the Zucchini bread or the Lemon loaf with your coffee. They also have fast Wi-fi. I also love the encouraging sayings posted on the wall like "Family is everything" and " You can never have too much happy". I forgot to mention that they have something for every taste, including soy and almond options for all coffee drinks. Come try them out you won't be disappointed. read more

Worst experience ever at this here & any coffee place ever. I come here a lot, in the mornings usually and I've never had such a terrible experience. Worse customer service ever. The two girls working were just awful. And not just to me but other customers. 1) out of cold Pellegrino so got an ice tea. Also got a decaf coffee. $5. 2) Ice tea was u drinkable so asked if could get something else of equal or lesser value, sure, but had to pay for it. Hubby settled for a can of diet coke as not to risk it again especially if paying again. $1.45. 3) tons of grounds in my coffee, mentioned it, & they could care less. 4) Specifically asked how much a refill on coffee was, was told free, yay I'll be back for it. Went back for it and was told $1. I mentioned they said free just 20 minutes ago, & I got yeah, but it's a $1. Argh. After this experience I doubt I'll be back any time soon. Coffee Express is way better and so is Starbucks on Branch for that matter. read more

Could have stayed in this café for the rest of my life. Was in Pismo for the weekend, staying in Arroyo Grande. My mentor's wife's sister is the owner so he recommended that I stop in while I was down here. Thank God I did. Had a Mexican mocha which was the best I've had in Cali. Cashier recommended a breakfast burrito combining their bacon and veggie burrito. It was huge and delicious. The salsa on the side was chunky with serious flavor. The peaceful alt music playing in the background set my soul at ease. This café is one of my favorite stops of my many many adventures in california. read more

I've regularly gone to Andreini's for the past four years, as it is convenient and I like to support small local businesses. But after my last time at Andreini's I have decided that Cafe Andreini is not a business I like to support. Last time I was there the owner was rude to me and my friends, as we brought in food from another place. There were not any signs in the cafe that discouraged bringing outside food and me and my friends had also bought several drinks and food at Andreini's previously within our time there. I could understand if the owner told us that we couldn't bring in outside food once, but she proceeded to come up to me and my friends and address us multiple times about it, making all of us feel extremely umwelcomned and uncomfortable. Then she proceed to tell us that we were taking up seats that her paying customers should have (even though we made it clear we were paying customers). Maybe I should've mentioned to her that she was taking up a table multiple people could've sat at herself. Maybe that suggestion would've helped her further better her cafe's seating problem she seemed to be so concerned about. All in all, the coffee and food at Andreini's has always been subpar, but I would continue to be a regular customer as it was a local business and at a convenient location. It is safe to say I will now, not be a regular paying customer, so I guess there's some good news for Denise: she has one less paying customer to worry about finding seating for. read more

I have been hanging out and getting coffee at Cafe Andreini's for over a decade and absolutely LOVE coming here!! I sometimes work from Andreini's and love the laid back, warm and welcoming atmosphere. I also love meeting up with my friends and our kiddos over a cup of coffee that never disappoints. Overall, this has (and probably will always be) my favorite coffee house hang-out spot! Service is slow, employees have not been taught to be friendly. Employees can't count back change.They do not know what a vegetarian bagel is. Cheese and egg NO BACON. But, if you rub bacon on it, take it off cause no one will know the difference. BAD Service overall. read more

The environment is welcoming and the internet is free, which is a great start. I ordered two drinks and one sandwich. The first sandwich to come out was not what I ordered, so I asked to get the one that I ordered. A half an hour later ( I checked the receipt for order time and sure enough it had been a half an hour), I was still waiting for the correct one so I went to the counter to ask. They said they are still working on it and that they will package it to go for me as I was out of time. Five more minutes went by, and we were still waiting. The sandwich had good flavor, but it was mostly bread and very little of everything else. For the price, it was not worth the wait or the end product. I was disappointed in the service and the product. I am a believer in second chances, so I will be back. I will forego the sandwich next time though. read more

Starbucks seems to have made its way into every crack and crevice across the US and abroad. But I like that it hasn't penetrated the streets of Arroyo Grande. Well at least not this stretch. Cafe Adreini is one of the few cafe options on this street and it seems half the town (and visitors) descend on it en masse. The location provides spacious seating options with random photographs of family portraits on its walls. The coffee is good. I love their cups that boast that Arroyo Grande has "normal people" - I love normal people and want to be surrounded by them. Where are they? read more

Great location in the old part of downtown Arroyo Grande (a hidden gem of the central coast). It has a real small town country feel. Really good coffee but other food items available as well. Friendly service. Ample sitting inside with and on nice days I believe a few on sidewalk (not 100% sire about that). And free wifi. I can't think of anything negative to say. read more

This place is just what you might expect for a sleepy beach town. Charming atmosphere, historical building, friendly staff, and filled with lively locals and tourists. I ordered my coffee and was kept entertained during the remainder of my visit by the group of chatty women who frequent the shop in their seemingly weekly social get together. The coffee was good, not great. I didn't order food. However, the service was quick and pleasant and overall my experience was excellent. Would I return? Definitely. My office called in an order yesterday. Both of the drinks we ordered required a banana. When I got there to pick, I was told they were out of bananas so they couldn't make our drinks. In no way was I upset but the cashier Kelly Hoff (per the receipt) was amazing. So nice about it and even gave us free drink cards for our next visit. It's rare these days to have such outstanding customer service. It was my first visit and I will be returning just because of the customer service. Great job. read more

Clean, quick service, lots of spots to sit and free wi-fi. The coffee was nothing special and they had no "house specials" which I always look forward to. Anyone can make a coffee or espresso so I always look forward to something special and they lacked that. There were also no real pastries or anything substantial to eat--only your average costco type muffins and bagels that looked stale. I was craving some chocolate but nothing too sweet or heavy. The perfect hot cocoa was made for me with almond milk! Ordered a drink that I always get iced not sure if I just didnt say the word this time or if it got lost in the ordering process but either way my drink was made hot. When I asked to get it iced instead the sweet girl behind the counter went a head and let me know that that's not what the order ticket said. The smallest of problems was I had absolutely nothing to do with that paper. Seeming begrudgingly she mustard up the strength to remake my drink. On the way out I received a sarcastic have a great day. If I'm like anyone reading yelp reviews I don't have time for poor customer service.
