A friend told me about this place years ago, while it was still located in Salt Lake, but I'm only trying it now thanks to another friend's birthday. I was not disappointed! All the food was amazing! The dim sum, the entrees... I loved it all. There were 9 of us in our party, and we got sat at the family style table with the lazy Susan. We tried a bit of everything: buns, chicken feet, veggies, duck, squid, soup... the turnip cakes were so bomb!!!! Crispy on the outside, and just the perfect amount of gooey in the inside. The owners were awesome, and helped suggest things (mainly the veggies, since we ordered almost all meats originally). I definitely want to go back!

Authentic Cantonese restaurant outside of Salt Lake City which serves dim sum. The clientele and staff are legit. The variety of dim sum is limited but what they have is pretty good. They do have one push cart. I enjoyed the chicken feet and rice noodle rolls. The servers were very friendly. They do serve you with disposable plates, cups, and chopsticks if they are busy though. I asked for tea but they either forgot or didn't have enough tea pots since a table of elderly men had so many of them. The chow fun was fresh and delicious. Don't get the walnut shrimp. The breading is too heavy and overcooked.

We stopped at our favorite authentic Chinese restaurant late in the afternoon on Saturday. There was plenty of parking and sat quickly. We ordered all our favorite dishes: beef and broccoli (American) pan fried noodles, bean thread dim sum, Hago dim sum, beef ball, custard boa, and lemon chicken. They got our food out fast and it was nice and hot. My kids love the food there. We ended up spending less than $100 for a family of 5 and took home leftovers.

Food Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Don't skip on: Dried Beef Flat Noodle I had a wonderful dining experience at Cafe Ang Hong. We came in a group of 6 and it felt like home to have such great quality dim sum. We ordered all the classics, siu mai, chicken feet, beef balls, shrimp dumplings, cha siu bao and more. After, we ordered the dried beef flat noodles, a must because they make their noodles in house! The staff here were nice and welcoming, as well as efficient! The restaurant itself was well kept and visually appealing. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Came for Dim Sum authentic and passable for Utah but the service was terrible like we were doing them a favor. Had to call them for filling tea, ordering a second round of food...

The best authentic Cantonese place I've been to in Utah so far! My family just visited and we're so happy we did. The homemade noodles are delicious, please do not sleep on the chow fun. The salt and pepper dishes were seasoned well and didn't have too much batter. The steamed fish was my favorite, it was cooked perfectly. Everything my family and I had was a 10/10. We plan to stop again the next time I'm back in town.

I warmed up more pot stickers today!

We ate from paper plates, drank from red Solo cups and loved every minute. Get your family over here! A visiting friend wanted Chinese food, and we stumbled upon Cafe Anh Hong. What caught my eye were the reviews written in Chinese. Translation, "Just like home." Now our visitor is telling their friends about the best Chinese food they've had -- at a little place in UTAH! It was like visiting a kind Chinese neighbor who wants to share a slice of their life and culture through food. They are warm, happy folks, and I could tell that serving people brings them joy. The Aunties and Uncles in the kitchen can COOK! The Pot Stickers are incredible. If you want regular dinnerware, just ask for it -- but the disposable place settings were part of the lovely charm. While there are plenty of private booths, many tables are round and set up to serve family style - with lazy Susan centers for sharing. We had plenty of leftovers to take home in boxes. I warmed it up again today, ate a substantial lunch - and inspired me to write this review. We will be making regular visits.

Literally, my most treasured dim sum spot, and not just in Utah! I love every single dish here. I've been going here for over 4 years and not once have they let me down. Everytime family comes to visit, this is a must visit spot! I very much appreciate how they serve all day dim sum. Lots of dim sum spots only serve dim sum during breakfast/brunch times. In addition to all their great dim sum, please make sure to order one of their larger entrees, like their soft shell crab. SO YUMMY! The ambiance is nice. Also, all the servers are so so kind. There may be a slight language barrier, but they make me feel so special and appreciated. Such an authentic place. I will be returning forever and ever!

All the food was 6/10....but if you've never had Cantonese food in Hong Kong, you wouldn't know any better haha (hence the 4 stars). Service was great and they are so nice (and speak Cantonese and Mandarin ofc). The inside is slightly nostalgic, but I wasn't a fan of the paper plates and red Solo cups haha. Oh well. Overall, if you've never had Cantonese food, you should try it. Get the chasiu and the duck (which was 7.5/10). Not horrible for Sandy, UT I guess haha.

We have been coming here for many years. The food is always delicious. I prefer their dim sum over others. The service is always friendly.

This restaurant might be understaffed, but the food is cheap & taste really good. I would order more food if they didn't only have 2 employees running around on New Year's Day. Definitely would come back.

Quite the gem in this community. They have a large restaurant with many seating areas. There's also lots and lots of free parking too. One of few places open on Sunday, we went for dim sum lunch and really enjoyed everything that we ordered. While they do have a menu full of eating options, we opted for the dim sum cart. They have all the standard items, both steamed and fried. My favorite was the savory pork filled fried mochi and also the steamed savory pork wrapped in tofu, excellent! Compared to another dim sum eatery in Salt Lake City, we much prefer the tastier options here. Of particular note, my friend called in advance to pre order their freshly made soft tofu in a light syrup. So glad to know there is a tasty dim sum place in this area!

We loved our meal, enjoying every dish. One dish came with shrimp dumplings, which was a surprise because the menu just said 'dumpling.' We ordered enough that we could enjoy the leftovers later that evening, and we ate every bite. They offer tea service as well, but we didn't do it this time. The Siu Mai (pork and shrimp) is savory and juicy -- definitely one of my favorites. I also tried the Shrimp with Chive Dumplings, and they were surprisingly excellent: juicy, savory, with a nice fresh onion flavor. The Steamed BBQ Pork Buns are pillowy soft and practically melt in your mouth with their sweet shredded pork filling. Pro tip: Just eat the fried shrimp balls! The sweet and lightly mustard-tangy sauce that comes with them, combined with some sweet chili sauce, is absolute heaven. Just don't burn your mouth when they bring them out fresh from the fryer -- you're welcome. Order 3 dim sum plates if you're hungry, or 4 if you're starving or sharing with others. They serve dim sum throughout the day so it was a win win situation. Most dim sum is in the morning so the fact we can have it for lunch was great. Walking in, I expected the joint to be nicer. Not necessarily top of the line but nicer. It was dull, crowded and dated. The lady behind the counter guided us to our table. We did breeze over the menu but I already knew what we wanted. We ordered a handful a handful of things. It all looked good on the menu and these were some of my favorite dishes growing up. Black bean spareribs, shu mai, haw gow, taro cake, lotus leaf sticky rice, bean curd with meat in the middle and long rice noodle with shrimp. Everything is pre made and sitting in a steamer bath. I would have been willing to wait for the dim sum to be made fresh instead of it just sitting around staying warm. Honestly, if I would have known that they were pre made, I probably wouldn't have come. The black bean spareribs were fatty and lacking black bean. The long rice noodles were already sauced so the sauce was thick and dry on the noodles already. The haw gaw was cold. The clear wrapping on the haw gow is my favorite and it was tough. The stuffed bean curd was pretty bland. The lotus leaf with sticky rice was good! It was hot and the filling was savory to the sticky rice. The shu mai was savory. The only thing that was honestly cooked cooked was the taro cake. It was actually steamed and then grilled. It was really good! I love the crunchy exterior and the soft middle. Half of the food was good and the other half was so disappointing. As dated as this joint is, I know places that look dated can produce some of the best food! I was hoping that this was going to be the case but it wasn't. Service was basic. It was uncomfortably warm inside the venue today. I'm happy I got to try it out but I don't see myself coming back for a second round.
