The service here is excellent. They are fast and efficient. The staff was very friendly and polite however the food was a disappointment. I ordered the turkey sandwich. For the price I was definitely expecting to get a gourmet sandwich with deli quality ingredients. Example: They use regular yellow mustard (no other options...I have better quality mustard in my frig at home than here), Kraft square processed cheese and the bread was not fresh. Way overpriced for what I got. You can go to Publix and get a sandwich twice as big, half the price with quality deli ingredients. Again the service is great but I won't be returning. I've now had three meals from Cafe at Pharr in Buckhead. One was tasty, one was as if I made a mediocre sandwich hurriedly at home, and the third was a sad excuse for a meal...especially considering it cost money and came from a restaurant. Although I rather like the handful of grapes that come with a sandwich, the meal typically looks exactly like what every third grader takes to school for lunch -- very, very basic, with a quick toss in the bag of a few grapes and a little yogurt roll to make it seem like you're getting a full meal and not just a weak sandwich. My biggest concern is that Cafe at Pharr claim's to be providing "healthy sandwiches," yet they actually use KRAFT SINGLES as one of their "cheese" options. "Cheese" is in quotes because a Kraft Single isn't cheese -- Kraft had to change their label to "cheese product" because the FDA was sanctioning them for lying that it was real cheese. Even as a third grader, I didn't want that. Now as an adult where I try to be mindful of what I eat, I was grossed out to see Kraft Singles on my sandwich. It's audacious, and frankly a insulting, to be charged $9 for a sandwich advertised as healthy when it has ultra-manufactured, cheese product as one of the ingredients. Cafe at Pharr, if you read this, please stop being cheap and weird and buy actual cheese...or at least openly label on the menu that you're going to use that ingredient so all customers who have completed 4th grade or higher can make a different choice. read more

I decided to try this place out after I found a deal for it online. I stopped by for dinner one night only to find out that it's only open for lunch, unfortunately. So I came back again for lunch. It was fairly busy on the day that I went on Friday. The menu seemed a bit bare, but I ordered the chicken salad. It was not at all what I expected. I felt like I easily could have reproduced the same meal at home for a quarter of the price. So it definitely wasn't worth the price of $9 in my opinion, which is what just about everything cost there. My wife ordered the curry, and it was the smallest looking curry I've ever seen. It was certainly not filling for her. I think even with the deal, it was hardly worth it. The restaurant needs to do several things in order for me to return. It needs to, first of all, stay open for dinner. But more importantly, they need to work on their menu options and portion sizes of the meals. This place is a fairly nice little sandwich joint that advertises itself as a healthy place to grab a lunch. I had the clam chowder and the egg and potato salad sandwich on white for lunch. I felt the chowder was fine, but it was relatively forgettable. The sandwich was pretty good. I thought the bread was the highlight of the meal- it was soft and quite good. The potato/egg salad was unique especially given that it was very light on mayo. The little yogurt thingies were fine I suppose, but nothing overly amazing. I have now been to Cafe at Pharr twice and it keeps getting better. There is one problem, I will never try another item on the menu, because the Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich is unreal! From the homemade wheat bread, to the perfectly ripe tomatoes, to possibly the best chicken salad I have ever had, it was simply outstanding. its simple, fresh, healthy and yummy. i call this the chicken salad place cause their chicken salad is very, very good. their food even saved me when i was sick. i always go for the sandwich and not only that it comes with the freshest lettuce you never get at subway, theres a handful of sweet grapes and a very, very tasty yogurt roll. they got a lot of staff for a small place like this but it really get busy during peak hours. the portion is kinda small for the price so be prepared to order another if you need to. what i dont like is their opening hours - its just not convenient for breakfast or even a late lunch... they told me they might be changing it a year ago but nothing is done til now..seems like they do not really bother :( read more

The food is always consistent and fresh but my friends never want to go there because we walk out after a $15 lunch and we are hungry an hour later. This happens EVERY time. All the buckhead bettys at this Peachtree Rd location obviously are on a diet and don't care about this....but everyone else does! I know they do a lot of business at this location but I think the owners would do a lot better at all locations if they either brought the price down a couple bucks or at least gave you 25% more food. The chicken salad can't be beat! I'm a walnut raisin on croissant girl, but choose from traditional celery style, walnut raisin or curry. Fresh baked breads; try the multigrain or croissant. I will start by saying I am not from this area, but was working nearby on a Sunday. I took a break to go get lunch. I remembered passing a Subway on my way to work and decided to just go there. Luckily, I saw Cafe At Pharr 2 doors down and went there instead. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sign on the door said they were open for brunch starting in March, so I was lucky they were open. I ordered the chicken salad plate, thinking it was salad with chicken, not "chicken salad". It was DELICIOUS and I don't even like chicken salad! The bread, fruit, and dressing were amazing. Everything on my plate was fresh, fresh, fresh! The coffee was great too. $2/cup, but you get refills and its just plain GOOD coffee. For everything else, the price was right and the portions were perfect. I noticed they had multigrain pancakes, and I heard a chef talking to a customer about how good the french toast is--and I believe him! I've had their chicken salad sandwich, and it's good, but in my opinion Cafe Pharr's new Sunday brunch is wonderful! I've had the pancakes and the french toast, both of which I'm very picky about, and snarfed it all up. The wait staff are also friendly and the service is prompt. Cafe at Pharr is pretty nondescript from the outside, but after trying the teriyaki chicken sandwich with a side of grapes and two pieces of yogurt roll, Cafe at Pharr became memorable in my book. This has probably been the only place in Atlanta where I have found straight-foward food. By this, I mean that my food came free of preservatives, artificial flavorings and other unhealthy culinary illusions. I didn't have to wonder what unhealthy stuff was hidden in the food because the only ingredients in my sandwich were chicken, lettuce, tomato, good bread and house-made teriyaki sauce. The simplicity of the ingredients and of the preparation is reflected in every item in their menu of sandwiches and soups. Yes, you could you probably make these sandwiches at home and save the money, but when you are out, don't have the time and don't want to be stuck eating unhealthy then Cafe at Pharr is a great option. read more

Let me start by saying that I go to Cafe at Pharr a lot. It has been a lunch staple for me for years. Recently, I have been very disappointed. I usually get the Walnut Chicken Salad plate to go which consists of chicken Salad and lettuce and dressing. Recently the lettuce has been wilted and not fresh. On my most recent visit, the quality of the lettuce was fine, but there was hardly any of it. I expect the take out container to be more than half full for a $10 salad. 2 years ago I would've given Cafe at Pharr 5 stars, but now I'm more around 2.5 stars and it definitely will no longer be my go-to lunch spot. read more
