Gal pal and I randomly stopped in here on a Saturday morning because (1) there was the option of indoor, outdoor covered and outdoor non-covered seating and (2) there were plenty of other people looking like they were enjoying themselves. We shared a huge scramble with a side of fruit - GREAT scramble! Perfect saltiness and just enough spinach in the eggs without overpowering the sausage. Service was super friendly, and so were the other customers and their dogs. I felt like maybe I should get a dog now so that I can bring him to hang out with all the other dogs at Cafe Bella. Minus one star for meh-coffee (even though it was a huge mug) and minus one star for flies that wouldn't leave us alone (they were attracted to the sticky jams jars on the table). This is the type of place I would frequent if I lived in the neighborhood, but probably wouldn't go again in the next 3-5 months (but that scramble was so yummy...). I hate to write this review but this used to be my go-to spot for açaí bowls+smoothies. In the past month, I've been here at least five times and I usually go around the time it's busy. I wait for about 10+ minutes in the drive thru which I have no problem! But the quality and taste of my orders are always different.. the açaí bowl, for me, is always watery... and my husband always gets the champion smoothie and sometimes it'll be extremely sweet and the taste is very different each time. The consistency is almost like milk (watery) in a way, not a smoothie.. if that makes sense. Other than that the ladies are super sweet and their service is always on point, but I'll definitely need to find a different spot now :( read more

I was in the neighborhood and drove past this place and saw a pretty long line. I decided to check it out on a whim and I'm so pleased that I did! I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and a hammerhead (coffee and espresso) with a splash of nonfat milk and sugar free hazelnut. The bagel was delicious and the coffee gave me quite the caffeine boost! The service was phenomenal. The baristas were so pleasant, which was so refreshing so early in the morning! This place is a gem. I have been a few times and never disappointed. Acai bowls are delicious and they have kombucha on tap! The best part? You save .35 cents when you bring your own cup. I think that is by far the best cup discount I have come across. When yo drink coffee every day (speaking from experience) that is a $ 10.50 savings a month!! Cafe Bella is such an amazing coffee stand. They serve all of your favorites as well as their own special drinks like Bellacinos! There's also really tasty bakery items like banana bread and muffins but my very favorite is their bagels. Everything they serve is of the highest quality. And the best thing about Bella's is truly the staff and the environment. If you go a couple times, you're part of the family! There's a drive thru for convenience or tables if you want to hang out. I personally drive from Escondido to Ocean Beach just to treat myself to something amazing from their menu. I highly recommend Bella's to all my family and friends! read more

I just wanna start off by saying that this place has THE BEST BAGELS that I've ever had in my life! They don't jip you on cream cheese either! The girls are always so friendly when I drive up. I was having an off day today and the two working today definitely made me laugh. I appreciate that! I usually come here for the bagels but I do get coffee every now and then which is also a great treat. Hands down, best coffee spot in OB, or San Diego! There is some special ingredient in their coffee I think, because it just tastes better than any other coffee place, plus many times I'm in a hurry on my way to work so it's convenient to pull into the drive thru. I always get a large Hammerhead and they make it just the way I want it, even add a dollop of whip cream on top for me!! Val and ALL the girls are sweet that work there. I don't know how they do it, but they remember customer's names, what they usually drink, how to make all those drinks, make small talk & hustle, all the while with a smile on their face, even if it's cold outside, raining or 100 degrees of sweltering heat! read more

5 stars for a GINORMOUS acai bowl! Acai blend, granola, bananas, blueberries, strawberries and coconut shavings filled all the way past the tip of the cup. Extremely impressed by the amount given. Decently priced as well. Can't find many places outside of North County that will give this much for the price. Cafe Bella's a nice find! 4 stars for service. The girls working were nice, but because Cafe Bella is a drive through coffee stand, the service was extremely slow. Took about 20 minutes to get our acai bowl made. There are 2 tables right outside on the sidewalk, so it's a bit inconvenient if you're looking to sit. But for food on the go, it's an easy drive through. read more

I like how this place is within walking distance to where I live, and I like how the girls are nice when they speak with you. However, I give this place three stars because the last couple of times I went there the girls messed up my drinks. I believe the last time they had messed up on my drink was due to the fact that the girl making my drink was too busy "flirting" it up with someone who appeared to be a regular, driving through. She and the other girl working at the time seemed to be so caught up with the conversation that she didn't even realize that she was putting regular milk in my latte when I asked for soy. Luckily, having soy milk in my latte is just a preference, and I'm not lactose intolerant or anything like that. Otherwise, I may have said something. Nonethess, I was charged the added price for having soy milk in my latte. The second to last time, I asked for a mocha, was charged the full price, and the girl brought to me a regular bitter tasting latte. I took a test sip befor I drove off, and then I asked to clarify that she had just given me a mocha. She confidently assured me that it was a mocha. Thinking that maybe I was wrong, I drove off. As I continued to drink it, it was obviously just a bitter tasting latte, with the mocha syrup left out. I know these complaints seem petty, but it is only a small cart business which supposedly specializes in coffee drinks. If that is what your business is about, then I thnk the quality and professionalism should be upheld. The service is friendly, but these girls need to find a good balance between friendliness, quality products, and professionalism. Now, I think twice about going there whenever I want a good latte, knowing that their competitors are just a few blocks away. read more

I used to frequent this place. The coffee is good. The prices are fair. They have an excellent acai bowl. But it can be very busy and slow. The jumpstart coffee cart across the street on Bacon has better coffee at better prices. But Café Bella is open all day long if you need coffee after normal coffee hours. read more
