They keep selling out of the jambon and guyere croissants. Been here 3 times and each time it's sold out. Losing faith that they can stock their flagship item anymore.

My friend came over and surprised me with the most incredible pastries. I don't know the proper names but one was a cinnamon roll croissant I believe the other one had pistachio filling and toppings. I don't think you can go wrong with anything from this place. It was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this and had no idea they existed. It was tasty, the croissant was moist, fresh and so delicious. This bakery knows what they're doing.

This will be a must-stop every time I'm in LA! As we waited in line we were treated to a sample of a cookie - yum! The line moved quickly. The staff were so friendly and worked efficiently. We tried the cinnamon roll (OMG) the almond croissant, the blueberry scone, the pain au chocolat, banana bread, and a savory jambon Gruyère pastry (sooo good). There are literally no bad choices. The bakery is warm and welcoming, and the aroma of baked goods hits you before you even get in the door. The space is tight but they move people in and out quickly. There was a great selection of pastries, cookies and breads. Next time I will need to try their bread - the loaves were like works of art! I'll be thinking about that cinnamon roll the whole flight home!

On my bucket list for awhile and finally able to make a trip down to Socal to try it ! Glad they take preorders so we did ! Line wasn't too long when we pickup ! It's a charming little shop with great friendly staff and the pastries /baked goods was beautifully laid out! Everything we order was buttery enjoyed but their jambon beurre (ham sandwich) was delicious bringing me back to Paris ! Worth a spot if you haven't ! I would definitely return

Went on a Saturday AM around 9, took about 15 minutes to get in, was really looking forward to trying their cinnamon roll but it was already sold out!! Overall really solid good pastries - EXTREMELY SWEET!! Like instant richness and sugar rush. Cookie is 10/10. Scone & crossaint like a 8/10.

Got there at like 9am on a Tuesday and there was a line out the door. Only waited about 15 minutes. So it moves fast. We ordered the cinnamon roll, croissant, chocolate croissant, cardamom scroll, chocolate chip cookie, banana bread and 2 lattes. The stand out ones that were the best I've ever had were the plain croissant and the chocolate croissant. They were AMAZING!!! The cinnamon roll has the texture of a crossiant and it was still really good but I don't know. Something was missing for me. Maybe it needed more icing? The banana bread was so soft and moist. Delicious! The chocolate chip cookie is huge and it was okay. I personally wouldn't get it again. The ice lattes had good flavor but even with asking for half sweetened it was still way too sweet. Staff was all so friendly considering how crazy busy it was! I'd definitely be back! Metered street parking

This place is absolutely great. One of the best bakeries I have ever been to for sure. There was a line out the door which means people know it's good lol. They were already sold out of cinnamon rolls which was a little bit of a bummer but we were excited to try anything. The pain au chocolut was filled with LOADS of chocolate which is not common. The pain au raisin was also very good. The croissant breading was so light and fluffy with the perfect crisp on the outside. I also had the fresh squeezed orange juice which was refreshing as well. There are no tables inside but 1 bench outside.

This place has been on my bucket list for so long. I'd say it's pretty good, but not entirely worth all the hype. The pain au chocolate was a standout and the best thing we tried. The cinnamon roll looked good but was just okay. The employees were friendly and helpful. Come early!! They even have limits on how many of certain pastries you can get because of demand.

My husband recommended I try this place out because it's right by my job. I walked in 10 min before closing and tried the pistachio lemon croissant and banana bread. I was mind blown by the croissant. The layers of crisp and flavors blended perfectly! Street meter parking is usually available and limited outdoor seating available.Officially my new spot when craving a quality croissants.

I definitely recommend trying the cinnamon rolls! Super moist but not too sweet either. Their croissants have a bread-like, chewy texture and less flaky. Service is great! The workers are so nice

Another well-reviewed bakery in Santa Monica is Petitgrain Boulangerie. I read online that the bakery on Wilshire and 12th St serves buttery, flaky croissants and other delicious pastries. I also read that they source their ingredients locally, whether from Santa Monica or California, which I find admirable! I ordered a Croissant ($6.00), Cardamom Bun ($7.00), Conchas ($5.00), Cinnamon Roll ($6.50), and a Chocolate Chip Cookie ($6.00). The croissant was perfectly buttery, yet not overly so, and incredibly flaky with a soft interior. The Cardamom Bun was decent, but not my favorite. The croissant was excellent, but I wouldn't order it again as $7 for a plain one is a bit pricey. I'll try the pain au chocolat next time. I'm not a huge fan of conchas, but seeing them at a bakery like this intrigued me, so I had to try one. It was one of the better conchas I've had, sweet but not overly so. It had the perfect amount of crunch and chew, like the most perfect dinner roll with a touch of flaky sweetness. It was excellent, but pricey. The cinnamon roll was also very good. The outside was flaky like a croissant, and the frosting wasn't overly sweet, likely sour cream-based. I really enjoyed the gooey center. It was a great cinnamon roll. The clear winner was the chocolate chip cookie. It has a hint of sea salt and is very chocolatey, gooey, and soft on the inside with a satisfying crunch on the exterior. It's a truly perfect cookie, IMHO. I definitely need to return soon to try more of their delicious pastries, especially one of their scones.

Yes, the line can get long, but the pain au chocolat alone is absolutely worth the wait! This cozy, unassuming bakery creates some of the most delicious and beautiful pastries. You can tell they prioritize high-quality, local ingredients--I even spotted bags of TCHO chocolate. I ordered the Taleggio & Potato Pastry alongside the pain au chocolat, and both were excellent. To top it off, the staff are absolutely lovely; they're warm and welcoming despite how busy it gets. I will definitely be lining up again soon!

There are a few tables if you'd like to enjoy your food there, but we decided to get everything to go. The staff told us the pastries could stay out of the refrigerator for up to an hour, so we were worried the cakes might melt on the way home. Thankfully, they stayed in perfect condition. We especially loved the croissants. They were incredibly flavorful and surprisingly large, so I'd recommend getting a few different flavors to share. My favorites were the almond and Parisian croissants. They gave some free macarons at the end!

Background On Visit: I was primarily going to RWT (Pokemon Card Shop) Collective on the second floor of the plaza, Something about the line and a average of 5 stars on their yelp page made me want to patronize the shop. So I did. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restroom: Didn't see a restroom. :) Wait Time: Can be long. Luckily, I didn't wait long when I patronized the shop. Location/Parking: Located in a plaza on the NW corner of Sawtelle Blvd. and W. Olympic. There's a couple of shared 15 minute parking spots in the parking lot, paid parking structure, or meter parking along Olympic, Sawtelle, or surrounding streets. I did find a secret place with free 2 hour parking on the NE corner of Purdue Ave. and Olympic Blvd.. :) Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with a few modern furnishings to sit, eat, and enjoy ones company. Service: Service was great! Tera (staffer) was very nice, attentive, offered great suggestions, and was quite informative about the shop. She also informed me that I was able to get two complimentary macarons. Patisserie Of Choice: 1) Blossom: Consisted of vanilla mousse, pistachio/red berries insert, pistachio crunch, and pistachio sponge. It was too pretty to eat, but I ate it anyways. So good and soo yum! 2) Roche: Consisted of hazelnut mousse, house made praline combined with soft caramel, hazelnut sponge. Taste like a Ferrer Rocher! It's very dense and sweet, but great to eat. Not something I'll have all the time. Macarons Of Choice : I got the Cookies and Cream and pistacio. They were both good. Artelice Patisserie For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back. I'm coming for you almond croissant.

The valet isn't quite worth it if you're only getting a coffee and pastry - almost feels like an upcharge on a lightly pricy snack / drink. That being said, the almond croissant? Worth every penny! The almond croissant has a generous helping of almonds and features a nice, crispy exterior and light, fluffy interior. My excited nibbles sent them bread shards soaring through the air! I also had an iced latte, and i often don't finish my drink the same hour. Well, I did here! The espresso they added was nutty and dark; the ice made it a little watery but it was tasty nonetheless. Helms has a fascinating history. In 1932 their bread, Olympic Bread, was declared the official bread of the Olympic Games. This led to worldwide recognition.
