    packaging

I'm very beyond angry with this cafe. My boyfriend and I checked out of the Westin today and I bought two ham and cheese sandwiches to enjoy on our way home. I couldn't see the sandwiches very well since they were packaged in a plastic box and heavily wrapped in saran wrap, which would be okay normally. However, when I opened the box to one of the sandwiches halfway home, I found that the cheese on this sandwich was furry and covered in mold. I was disgusted and threw the sandwiches away. So, we went home hungry after spending almost $30 on two sandwiches. Not only are they overpriced, but they were inedible. Also, I don't know how they would be able to tell whether these sandwiches are bad or not because the packaging had NO expiration labels on them. When I worked at Starbucks, ALL of our food was labeled with the day it was put out to customers and when to throw it away. That's not even the end of it. When I got home, I decided to call the hotel to report this. I wasn't expecting a refund since this is a small hotel cafe and I'm a state away. I just wanted to find out why this happened and make sure it doesn't happen again. Because what if someone doesn't spot the mold and eats it and ends up getting sick. So, a hotel representative picked up and sounded sentimental to my situation. However, she told me that the cafe is a 3rd party so she will have to transfer me to the cafe itself. Which would have been okay but I sat there with the phone ringing for over 20 minutes. At that point, I just hung up. Other than that, the coffee made me sick so the milk could have been expired too. Who knows. Please don't eat the food here. I don't want anyone to waste their money, get sick, or both.

Thoroughly enjoyed the coffee - I ordered a half sweet iced white chocolate mocha with oat milk. Great lighting and gentle ambiance. I'll definitely be back to play chess and chat, read a book, or get some work done. They are the perfect location. Edward Vincent Park is also ~10 minute walk away. Super excited to have a locally owned coffee shop in the area. Just wish they were open later than 3pm!

I'm giving it a 1 star rating because the coffee I bought for myself and wife just tasted really bad. She ordered the Buna Miel and I ordered the Vietnamese Latte. Buna Miel was overly sprinkled with cinnamon. The taste was hard to put my taste buds on. It was just awful. My Vietnamese Latte was just as bad. It had a bit of a flavor of banana I mine. I took 3 sips and couldn't force myself to drink much more of it. Completely wasted money. But the service was friendly, lol. This place is not a coffee shop I would ever comeback to nor would I recommend to anyone else in my inner circle. OH! and why did they charge me .75 for ice in my latte and $1 for ice in my wife's drink if they were the same size cups?! I felt that was a rip-off. I didn't like this place.

Business meeting with clients opening a premier sneaker and apparel boutique. Just a couple crosswalks up the street, an iced latte was a no brainer. Walked in and immediately you'll notice the high ceilings and great open space with cozy communal seating. Anita Baker "Sweet Love" was playing and the vibe was nice. Getting to the menu, simple with one particular unique stand out for me. The Onyx which is a Vanilla Charcoal Latte. Approached the register and neither of the two staff were very welcoming. No, "how are you" or any small talk. Felt transactional. Not expected from a neighborhood shop. It was straight to business. At least they make a good latte. I didn't stick around for too long, preferred to take my latte to go. I'll likely drop in for another visit when I'm back in the area
