Best coffee shop we tried in the CBD/French Quarter area. It features an exposed brick-style decor and a hidden room in the back that's incredibly vibey and artsy. The baristas were fast, friendly, and happy to make recommendations. We followed their advice and tried the blackberry syrup. It was truly delicious and perfectly balanced. I got their pistachio latte which has just the perfect amount of pistachio taste with a strong hit of coffee. I have the opportunity of having my coffee here most of the mornings that I was in town. I saw this place as a refuge go-to from wild from Carnival to Mardi Gras and then peaceful as everyone left town. The staff is funny and kind both Celeste & Cyrus are very welcoming and make you feel like a local even if you're traveling from Los Angeles on your annual trip to Mardi Gras. When I asked him questions about the drinks he was vague and uninterested in helping me. I ordered two seasonal options the banana bread and the carrot cake and I was excited because they are made in house. He barely put any syrup in both the drinks, and the "cold foam" was a tiny squirt of a white syrup out of a squeeze bottle, didn't even come close to a layer of actual cold foam. Also, ordered the large iced drink and it had the same amount of espresso as the smaller one. Both drinks were flavorless and payed $18 with a small tip added. The staff was friendly, and despite being the sole barista at the time, the drinks were made quickly--there was no line when I arrived. I opted for an Iced Matcha Latte with dairy-free milk. It was pretty good--on the sweeter side, but not too watery or overly earthy. You could still taste the matcha, but it wasn't as bold as I would've liked. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. My sister ordered the hot chocolate, but unfortunately, she didn't enjoy it. It smelled richer than it actually tasted, which was a bit disappointing. This place had good coffee and I really enjoyed my hot mocha. I went because i wanted to sit and enjoy my coffee for a bit, but there weren't but of tables (Maybe 3-4 which were all taken). There was a counter with 4-5 stools and another counter looking out the window. Also, there was no ceramic mug like the owner's pics, so I just enjoyed out of a paper cup like everywhere else. So the people and the service here are wonderful. The coffee is great, I just believe they have become too dog friendly to be a food/beverage location. I would like to respectfully protest the cute little puppy being in the counter directly in the food area with the servers picking him up and serving coffee without washing their hands. Etc. I have always enjoyed the owner and can see this is clearly a dog friendly place but I had never seen the level of integration of animals into the process like this visit. Puppy literally licking their hands right before they make the coffee. There is no way that could be allowed via code. Hopefully they see this and make that small adjustment. Animals are fine but not in the food spaces AND you have to wash your hands if you're going to be serving people food. cute little spot! i came here because i heard it was a good spot for remote work, and i don't know that i would agree with that necessarily, but the food and drink was absolutely delicious! i got an iced coconut matcha latte and a bowl of granola for my breakfast, and both items were really, really good. after a few hours, i ordered a chai and that was also really nice. all the food and drinks also came out super fast, and the baristas were really sweet as well. the reason i say it's maybe not the most conducive for sustained remote work is because there's not a lot of seating, and if it was a busier day i definitely would feel bad taking up a table for a long time. there's also only really high tables and bar stool type chairs, which aren't too comfortable. i managed to snag a seat in the "nook" for a while, which is comfortable but kind of dark. it's quiet and the wifi is good, but probably a better spot just to grab a coffee with a friend! i didn't have any of the normal espresso drinks or pastries but i bet everything is awesome. read more

The server is super nice and there's a wide variety of fancy coffee drinks including seasonal flavors. Remembered this place from our last trip to New Orleans, and since my wife is particular about coffee we figured it would be a go-to. We had no problems yesterday, but today was another matter. We were standing in line for ten minutes while the barista made a drink for one person in front of us and took pre-orders from the two others in front of us. OK, we figured we were next. Nope. He made those two drinks, handed them off without acknowledging we were there, let alone taking a pre-order. At that moment a woman strolled in, stood BEHIND us, and ordered a drink, which this guy started making, again without a word to us. Now we are far from invisible, so what gives? I will point out that my wife was the only non-white person in the equation, so was that it? Or is this guy just so bad at his job that he ignores people who are waiting in front of the counter? Either way, it didn't matter, we left and won't be back. But I'm really curious wtf that clown was thinking. I did notice another Yelper pointed out that non-regulars are subjected to poor service, and our "good" experience yesterday happened when the place was empty. read more

Tried a cortado and it tasted really good. The blended roast had a good flavor profile, more on the dark side, but definitely not the burned flavor type. I was in search of coffee and decided to not go to the largest coffee place and found this independent shop not far from my hotel. I should have taken more pictures. The shop is a small, cute location. We stopped in and I ordered a cinnamon roll, a scone (to take with me for later) and an iced latte. We hung out for about half an hour and watched the barista seamlessly handle a steady stream of customers, single handedly. During a recent work trip, I was able to try Cafe Bon Ami twice. Both times I loved my coffee! On the second visit, I ended up working remotely inside the cafe in a back room nook. The cafe is fairly quiet, but gets very busy very quickly. On both visits, it was only one lady working by herself as the catchier and the barista.
