Always a nice vibe when visiting here. You get good drinks, good amount of caffeine, and good music. Too bad I don't live closer because I would be in here at least three times a week or more. I'm about 20 minutes away and still find myself here at least 2-3 times a month. Whenever someone says they want to try matcha, this is my go-to spot. That Blue Pea Magie matcha is soo good!

Black owned coffee shop in NOLA. So while in Nola we wanted to get coffee and remembered this place. They have a variety of coffee, teas, and pastries to choose from. I got the vanilla matcha and it was pretty good. It was my first time having it and it was different but still good. My friend got a lavender lemonade and she said that was really good. They have different vendors there selling a variety of things and it was a charcuterie board/cup vender I got that and it was really good treat with my drink. The owner was really nice and friendly. And the vibe was vibing. They had a dj. And they had the bops playing. If you in Nola definitely check them out,

Let's get this small gripe out of the way. I'm not a fan of when restaurants overload drinks with ice--it always feels like you're getting less for what you paid. I've learned I need to start asking for light ice or no ice upfront. That said, the Ms. Rose drink itself was a 10/10. I tried it during a Yelp Elite event and was genuinely impressed--especially since I'm not usually a coffee drinker like that. It's the right amount of sweetness, smooth and toasty. Service was solid, and the space is really cute. It's also Black-owned and woman-owned, which I love to see. Proud of these ladies for what they've built.

Rating:9/10 Cute and black owned cafe off St. Claude in that has tasty wares. The ambience is amazing and the interior is beautiful. I tried the St. Roch Fog ($7) and it was great. I hung out here for a bit of reading and they also offer WiFi.

Ubered here from Canal St three mornings in a row because i was that pleased with the drinks and atmosphere. The last morning (a Saturday) there was a children's book author there selling her books and signing. I noticed 'regulars' here too who were friendly, made it feel like a true neighborhood spot. I enjoyed a matcha with lavender syrup, a bit on the sweeter than i'd normally take it but not overly so. The St Roch Fog and the Oak et Pear tea lattes were perfect though. Loved the rosemary spin on the Fog! Praline croissant was great too. What a gem of a cafe!

What's not to love? Such a cozy, at-home feeling coffee shop. The vibes hit you before you even walk in the door but once you step inside it really gives! I was so torn on what to try because I've heard good things about their matcha and the menu looks delicious. But given my previous experiences with matcha, i opted out. I went with the seasonal latte (spiced caramel apple) and it was soooo good! The place was pretty busy, but the single barista did her thing! She was quick and courteous. I sat at the bar to enjoy my goods and take in the scenery. The art and decor is so beautiful and inspiring. I also love the fact that although the space is intimate and there were a lot of people, it was not too loud or overstimulating. Overall, 10 out of 10- I can't wait to come again!

This is such a cute and quaint neighborhood coffee shop AND it's black owned! This place has been on my radar for a while. I finally stopped in to decompress after work and catch up on Bible study. I'm not a coffee girl so I do a place with options. This place even has cocktails. The environment is relatively quiet with great music. The worker was pleasant and serviced me quickly. I do plan to return in the future.

Coming from California, I even think their prices are high! $10 for a matcha is wild. I won't even pay that much for a specialized matcha spot in SF! It's insanely quiet when I first walked in, more like a library than a coffee house. Limited seating. It's obviously a place of work/study for a lot of folks. The staff are there. Not energetic or overly friendly. Just there doing their job. They have some pastries and specialty drinks. The decor is well thought out and classic. Never can go wrong with black, white and gold. It was a good try but not my cup of tea. And the hunt for a good coffee shop continues...

I really love this spot! It feels so homely here. As a Black woman with a deep love for Soul and R&B music, I can tell you that this spot's playlist truly speaks to my soul and sparks such nostalgia in me. Honestly, I know most people just see it as a place to grab coffee, but there's something about this area and the space that completely brings out the creativity in me. I genuinely love this spot, and I truly hope and pray they continue to stay booked and busy!

I ordered an iced chai latte with ginger vanilla syrup and oat milk. It was one of the best lattes I've ever had! It was the right amount of everything: sweetness, spice, even ice. If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular.

This black owned cafe is located on the corner of St. Roch and has all the vibes of a chill cafe afternoon. This is a community cafe that you can come listen to music to free your mind or study for a big test coming up. They offer some unique lattes, teas, and a few treats to eat. They also offer alcoholic beverages such as match margaritas and espresso martinis. Some nights they host entertainment such as poetry and author meets. They have nice staff and small but cozy areas to seat inside and out. There is free street parking along the roads but be cautious of the streets because they could use a little touch up. There is always someone outside in the neighborhood but they have never meant anyone harm so I love coming back and enjoying a latte inside with a friend.

Such kind service, well designed and cozy interior, great syrups, well made match and drinks. I can't suggest a better coffee spot in NOLA!

    Sasha M.

I just love this neighborhood coffee shop! This time I came in for an espresso martini and it did not disappoint! Two baristas made it less stressful for the first time I came through with one with a long line. (Not a big deal unless you have a time constraints) I'm so happy that this business is thriving and doing well with a lovely loyalty program as well. It's a must stop in for the vice and ambience.

Longer: So I was a little hesitant to go to CDM, because it's such the tourist stop and the first joint anyone mentions when they say "beignet". But this was our first stop, morning of first day. The beignets are piled in sugar, they are warm, crunchy and crisp on the outside and soft, warm and delicate inside. I gotta tell you, the texture is just a little different than Cafe Beignet, the Four Seasons, and even the other CDM in the park we tried a few days later. To me, this is the best one. Now, as a coffee person, their black coffee is strong, rich, and a good compliment to the real show - the beignets. But I did not pick up on nearly as much chicory in their chicory coffee as, say, Cafe Beignet's version. Also, I have to let you know the other location in the big park serves a non-chicory version (in addition to NOLA chicory) that is head and shoulders the best coffee we had in New Orleans. But this is the joint. As a bonus, it's colorful, has consistently great street musicians, and has lots of walkable sites as you struggle to waddle around after too many beignets. Gotta go!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home.
