Rather expensive. Or at least I thought so. $22 for 2 crepes? I got the strawberry cheesecake and was expecting something similar to cheesecake. But no. It was what looked like prepackaged strawberries and they added cream cheese and crushed graham crackers. I know cheesecake is made from cream cheese but this was a terrible representation of it. Cheap drinks and cheap food! Need I say more??? I spent $25 bucks and got nice and tipsy and had a yummy savory crepe. For me, this is a good start to a night out with friends. The service is a bit slow but the location and affordability of the place speaks volumes. I highly recommend the smoked beef, swiss cheese and dijon mustard crepe. It literally is a party in your mouth! If you do end up getting dessert and are in the mood to try something different, try the chestnut creme crepe. It's one of my favorites! read more

I read through a few other reviews and cannot even fathom why anyone would find this place to be a ripoff or have crappy cheap coffee. I rarely find this great European style coffee in America. I am used to Starbucks so perhaps my standard is a bit low. I've never had a better crepe, the sweet Nutella/banana and savory prosciutto blew my mind. This review is completely based on a late-night crepe, whiskey, and a couple of espressos visit. I can confidently say that if you are looking for aforementioned late-night crepe, whiskey, and espresso fare, look no further than Cafe Crepe. This was the first one we saw on our trip to Vancouver (as there are many, and even an "Express" edition), which was grand, as I am less likely to stop in a place with the more locations my eyeballs see. Best cafe crepe in Vancouver!:) I love cafe crepe and I've been to other cafe crepes here in Vancouver but this location has the best service and the crepes taste better for some reason. It should taste the same any cafe crepe you go to since its a franchise but this cafe crepe's crepes, and fries taste much better compared to other cafe crepes. Their banana nutella crepe and froes are really good. I also like one of their salty crepes that has chicken and mayo in it but don't remember the name of the crepe. read more

We really didn't enjoy the food here. The location was out of several things when we got there at 9 in the morning. The ingredients seemed more from preserved than fresh. The choices are limited to super sweet options or more lunch and dinner. Nothing more savory but breakfast oriented. The sweet crepes were very sweet. Coffee wasn't great. Whip cream and ice cream are an option and extra cost but it really is a must. Our waiter was really friendly. The atmosphere was a little "nighclubish" which worried us a bit since we were bringing our young kids but the staff didn't blink an eye when we walked in so it was just in our head. We went here for a late lunch yesterday and the experience was almost awful. We were seated right away by a very charming host and told that our server would be with us shortly. Five minutes passed then ten and then fifteen. Finally, after waiting nearly twenty minutes, the host realized that we hadn't gotten so much as a glass of water. It was not that busy so we couldn't figure out why we had waited so long. Finally one of the kitchen guys (I think? He was in the white kitchen uniform instead of the black that servers wear) came to take our orders. I want to say that his name was Trevor. He was young with dark hair and he was absolutely fantastic! He provided some of the best service we've ever had right down to bringing us water halfway through our meal because "it's hot and he wanted to make sure we stayed hydrated". That's pretty sweet. He knew the menu well and did a wonderful job. Husband had a caramel crepe and a sugar crepe and I had the brie and apricot jam crepe. Both were good and well made. When we finished our meals our "real" server suddenly appeared to clear our plates and we noticed a couple of times that she seemed to appear to deter Trevor from going back to our table. Husband used to work in the industry and was concerned that this girl was trying to poach Trevor's table. He wanted to make sure that we tipped our actual server and he asked the girl who should have been serving whether he could do that. Hopefully he got his tip because it was very much deserved. read more

Service was good. Hosts and servers were polite. Food came in a timely manner. Although, for a place called Cafe Crepe, I'd expect their crepes to taste better!! I ordered one under the Specialty crepes-Strawberry and Banana plus an add on of Chocolate ice cream. I was pretty excited to it. But it was so DRY. My sister and two friends had such a great wind-down night at this particular Cafe Crepe location. We had great drinks, a mean plate of fries, and a sweet crepe with a side of fruit. What really made this visit so memorable was the service. Jared, our sweet and friendly waiter was enthusiastic and welcoming. One of the best service experiences we have ever had. Since I live close I've come here quite a few more times and things have definitely improved. Service is much faster and the staff has changed over and are way more helpful. I cannot stop going here. Number 1 thing I always have to get: FRIES! Their fries are just done superbly, the bite of them and the salty level. I usually get their chicken burger because of the promo they have for the burgers on Monday-Thursday. The chicken burgers I get are never too dry and it's always a generous piece. Service is good but sometimes the food does take quite a bit of time to arrive. The crepes here aren't in any way a crazy must have but they do satisfy me from time to time. I came here by myself to have breakfast a couple days ago. The savoury crepe was good, hence the two stars. The service, though, was terrible. A blonde female server had a bad attitude and every word I spoke with her felt like she was begrudgingly doing me a huge favour. My friend, who joined me afterward witnessed this, and mentioned her attitude. I spoke to her twice. I didn't like a hot drink that I ordered, so I told them. I spoke to the blonde girl (the second time I spoke with her), and she said that she couldn't do anything about it, then called a male server over and told him to deal with it. He asked me why I didn't like it, then proceeded to tell me that that is how that drink is made everywhere, without giving any remedy to the problem. I don't really care how it's made. All I know is that every other London Fog I've had tasted a lot better, and I didn't want to drink it. I didn't even ask for it to be removed from my bill. Plus, even if I had asked for it to be removed from my bill, it isn't a lot of effort to punch in some buttons to print out a new receipt. One black-haired Asian girl, though, was helpful and had 0% attitude. I'm not looking for someone to smile at me and pretend to care about my day as I talk to them for 5 minutes straight - that's not what that girl did; she didn't even smile, which I don't care about. I'm a pretty low-maintenance customer, and I have an above-average understanding of serving duties because I am a server. In conclusion, service was the worst service I've experienced. I've seen and given better service at McDonald's, when I was 15. Service was worse than overworked, stressed out servers from Chinese restaurants. I think they need to understand that people have different opinions on tastes and to not try to prove a customer wrong when they don't like how something tastes, and drop their pretentiousness. read more

Every time I go downtown, this is always the place I stop at to indulge. Coming from South Surrey it's not that far by transit, but to keep my head in the game, I always stop here for a decadent crepe and a fantastic hazelnut latte. Decided to stop by.. the worst decision ever. The waitress told us she'll come by in a few minutes to take our order, only to never return. 25 minutes later, we had to ask another staff member to order our food and beverages. Another 20 minutes later, nothing had arrived. So, after waiting 45 minutes, we decided to get up and leave. I like the place and although it is affordable, I think it is pricey for what it is. The Nutella crepe with strawberries is my go-to. I also tried their savoury crepe which isn't very filling but still yummy nonetheless. I haven't found a location of Cafe Crepe that provides a warm and cozy atmosphere. Ordered a strawberry and Nutella crepe for $9.50 and was pretty excited to see them make it Infront of us, but sadly they took a PREMADE crepe from a box and heated it up. We asked them if they could make a fresh one and the MANAGER said "next time ask for a fresh one" we didn't know FRESH was an option we always assumed it would be fresh and crepes for $10 should be cooked to order, we don't know how long ago they made that crepe. The manager made it in 2 minutes and was super upset about it turned around and said we were stupid people to her co-worker super unprofessional and disrespectful. Don't know what to say especially since that was the manager, what a bad influence to her co workers. I was so mad I could've told everyone in the store they were eating PREMADE crepes.
