    Box of 24 mini donuts
    Tiffany J.

I placed a to go order through text message yesterday. I wanted to use the online ordering link through the site, but some of the menu items don't match the menu on the website so I decided to try the text in order. I received a quick reply and it was ready in about 20 minutes. I ordered 24 mini donuts for my friend's birthday. I chose lemon blueberry, Nutella and strawberry, funnel cake, turtle, chocolate sprinkle, and birthday cake. They were a hit at the party! They were so good! I also ordered two mini cinnamon rolls which were tasty and I had The Mediterranean wrap for lunch. I forgot to choose a side so it came with a salad. The dressing on the salad was really good and the wrap itself was really good! So far, everything that I've had at Café Dew has been really delicious! I really like this place a lot and can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items.

Breakfast Egg Bowl with a side of mini donuts (2 were a Yelp check-in bonus!)
    Deborah R.

What a pleasant surprise this little shop was; the Egg Bowl, scrambled eggs with my favorite choice of add-ins, was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. We went at a later than usual breakfast time on a weekday (breakfast is served all day long!), so it was not busy at all. In fact, nobody was there when we arrived, though a few more people came in after us. It's a very small shop with limited seating, so not sure if that could be an issue during peak meal times. The wait was a little long considering there was nobody there when we ordered, as it was for the others that ordered after us as well - however, I would say the wait is worth it IF you are not in a hurry. (The main reason this was not a five star - will update on return visit if this was just a fluke. If I could have given it 4 1/2 instead of 4 I would have.) As much as I enjoyed the eggs, those little mini donuts were the bomb! They tasted better than just a regular donut, the outside just the right amount of crunchy with a fluffy inside. The powered sugar was my favorite, so much so that next time I won't bother with any other flavor. Well, we'll see . Look forward to returning and trying something different on their menu next time, and a mini donut or two of course.

After searching "donuts" on my map app, Cafe Dew popped up with great reviews so I decided to check it out. This semi-hidden gem is definitely worth a visit if you're near the Bay Area. The moment I walked in I was taken away by the interior design. It's not everyday you walk into a cute cafe like Dew. It's so cute & clean. Syed greeted me as soon as I walked in. After giving me a little rundown of the menu he told me to take my time reviewing it and let him know if I had any questions. I reviewed the menu for 7-10 mins. There are so many yummy options & I love how everything is made when you order it. I had a hard time deciding. I finally decided on the 6 mini donuts (NOTE: they only offer mini donuts - nothing bigger), an egg bowl & a white chocolate latte. Everything taste so yummy & fresh. The S'mores & Blueberry Lemon donuts were so tasty. Great customer service and yummy food with a cute & cozy setup! I'm definitely going back for lunch in the near future. Highly recommended. If you go after reading my review I would love to know your thoughts. :--)

    Decaf Soy Latte

Ordered an egg plate, BLT, two decaf lattes (one soy and one normal), and used the Yelp deal for 2 free doughnuts. There was a Yelp deal allowing $15 for $20, but the owner stated he could not allow the redemption of this deal. The food and drinks sounded good, and the atmosphere was pleasant, but the food and drinks were actually not super impressive with the price tag they came with. But we do feel that despite the inability to use the Yelp deal of $15 for $20, the owner was nice enough to honor the 2 free doughnuts Yelp deal so we gave a nice tip

I'm a little picky and choose to make my own coffee cause I know how I like it. We're out of town now but YUM this was so good from the first sip. I did ask for half sweet cause sometimes coffee drinks at shops are SO sweet and I like tasting the coffee. This was so good with the honey lavender and half sweet.

FINALLY stopped by after reading about this place for years and glad I did! I brought my boys with me, and got them some sweets after an appointment. We got some mini donuts in their flavors of choice, they loved watching them getting made, and the flavor was phenomenal! We really enjoyed the food here, and intend to come back for coffee at a future date! I forgot until I uploaded the photo, we did also get the "face up" which is the bagel with cream cheese and hash brown. The hash brown was actually my favorite part of the whole offering, it was SO GOOD. It was seasoned, fried perfectly, and just oh so satisfying!

I met up with my girl friends for coffee date and I am amazed by this coffee shop!!! I tried their vanilla iced late and it was so so good!!! Their mini donuts are made to the order- they're nice and fresh! The donuts were devoured by us. I will be going back for their lunch menu... stay tuned!

Oh my goodness was this a great find. The samosas were delicious and the salad with salmon was amazing. They cooked the salmon to perfection. But baby, let me tell you about the paratha roll. The seasoned chicken was so good. It's India merged with Asia and wrapped in paratha (flaky flatbread) very similar to a croissant in taste but flat. I also ordered several donuts. They were cute and bite sized. I can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu.

Love, love, love this place. The egg bowls are delicious. I personally like my egg bowl with steak and cilantro chutney drizzle. The mini donuts are awesome. There's not a lot of seating, but I normally just take out anyway.

Drove by and saw this little spot. By all means delicious! Had their Avacado toast and Cuban coffee recommend

This place is a must try if u like sweets! I stopped in for coffee but ended up getting a little breakfast & donuts as well. My breakfast was cooked perfectly! The portions aren't big but it was the perfect amount for me. The coffee was on point! Definitely Woke me up! The donuts were made fresh to order & every flavor I got was absolutely delicious!!! Owner & staff were all very friendly & patient, the customer service was great here! The inside us small but the vibe was really cozy & inviting. Would recommend.

The cookie was baked to soft perfection. I went with a friend who thankfully knew to join the waitlist about an hour before we planned to arrive, which made the wait very manageable. Had we not known that important little tip, we probably would've been waiting close to an hour. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience, and I'd definitely go back again.

Let me preface this review by stating that I have been to this establishment multiple times & had…read moreglowing, amazing service each time. However, my last experience with this establishment left a horrible taste in my mouth. Therefore, I am giving them an extra star for the previous experiences. On May 17th, 2026, my best friend and I had been looking forward to coming to Water Oak all day and had our taste buds set for the occasion. We were famished and had quite a day up until arriving. Upon entering the restaurant, we were very briefly greeted by the a Hispanic man who I assume is the manager and told that they were "no longer seating for the day". I glanced around and saw that every table inside WAS seated, however there were many tables outside that were empty. I asked about the patio stating that us where we preferred to sit anyway, and was met with that they were also not seating the patio at all for the rest of the day. However, there was a group of 3 women seated outside on the patio at that exact time. I didn't say anything, simply turned and left. After having "one of those days" hashing out something so minute with a person who clearly didn't want us in their place of business was not something I was about to do. Keep in mind, we came on a Sunday afternoon. Prime brunch time. We arrived at the restaurant around 2:30PM, and their website says they don't close until 4PM. I am a biracial black woman and my friend is white. I noticed a significant amount of White and Latino patrons, but a shocking lack of Black people. With Houston having one of the most diverse populations in the US, it is almost impossible not to see at least one individual of each ethnicity in a place at any given time. I am definitely not one that likes to pull the race card, because oftentimes that is not the issue. However, as someone who is familiar with the service industry I understand Sundays can be extremely overwhelming. And I am cognizant that not everything is that serious. But, I am also aware that a lot of people in the industry discriminate against people of color, with stigmas that we don't leave enough gratuity or we "don't fit the vibe of their establishment". And those 3 women seated on the patio? All White. After reading recent reviews, it seems that management is discriminating against people of color, more specifically Black folks. This is an extremely disheartening and sickening realization to make, seeing as I have given well over $1,000 worth of my money here but also enjoyed many meals without issue. To management: It breaks my heart to have to write this review and to be honest, I wouldn't have written it if I hadn't seen others posting about similar experiences in addition to also feeling discriminated against. I highly suggest that if you are "not seating" after a specific time, you announce this via social media or alert potential patrons with a sign or something of the sort. & obviously, there is such an issue with treatment towards POC that it is a noteworthy problem via your Google & Yelp reviews. You will have a much bigger fish to fry on your hands if you continue to let this issue go on unrectified. I would be willing to return if I felt things were to be changed for the better in the future! Hopefully this review sparks a much needed conversation and brings attention to an area which needs work.

Our waitress also insisted we try her favorite pancake--it came topped with candied walnuts (and another topping I can't quite remember!), and I'm so glad she did. I'm typically a waffle girl, but this pancake may have converted me! It was incredibly fluffy, light, and perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The ambiance was nice as we walked in, and after being quickly seated next to a window, the atmosphere was nice. They did end up covering the window before we started eating, and the little bulb way above us and candle did not really provide light enough for us to eat (I get it is mood lighting, but I like seeing what I eat). The food was really solid, though. A few times I've been in the past it was all too salty, but this time around it was much better. I got the Farm Bird, and it was very juicy and had a very nice crunch. The Fish and Chips were nice and flaky, while the Pork Chop was extremely juicy and rich. The shrimp in the rigatoni was definitely oversalted, as well as the broccolini greens in the pork chop dish. The appetizers we got (Brussels Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip) were both okay, though I prefer garlic bread to the chip for the dip and the sprouts were a little one note. The whiskey cake itself was very good, though I recommend only one plate for a group of 6 or less because of how rich it is, especially if you get the ice cream addition. Overall a very surprising experience, and while it carries a heavy price tag, it is absolutely a good choice if you're looking for a nicer meal out here.

There was also no bathtub stopper so I couldn't take a bath, I had to crouch down like an animal and use the bath water to give myself a shower in that fashion. Unfortunately, our experience got off to a terrible start because of the two hostesses. They were…read morerude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the moment we walked in. Instead of making us feel welcome, they acted as though we were an inconvenience. Their disrespectful attitudes created a very poor first impression and nearly ruined our visit. The one bright spot was our waiter, Cookie. He was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our meal. His excellent service completely changed the tone of our experience, and he deserves recognition for going above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. If it weren't for Cookie, we likely would have left with an entirely negative impression. I hope management addresses the behavior of the hostesses while also recognizing Cookie for the outstanding customer service he provides.

Took myself on a solo date to The Toasted Yolk Cafe and had a good time. I went out on a limb and…read moretried the Alaskan Arnold which was enjoyable to my surprise. (Poached eggs are just not my thing). But, it was flavorful and better than I expected. The salmon was crispy in some places and flavorful all around. The sauteéd spinach was tasty but the english muffin was a little too soft. I also got a side of cheese grits because clearly I'm in my grits era and I'm not mad about it. I asked for a quiet booth to be away from everyone and got exactly what I wanted. My waitress gave me space without disappearing. She checked in with me just enough. Good experience overall. Good for a solo breakfast or brunch with friends. And, remember to checkout their fun cocktail menu, it's worth exploring.
