Some flavor but somewhat dry. However, the menu looked so promising I came back this morning for brunch. I ordered the waffle with cinnamon. While my friend got an açaí bowl. Both were amazing. Full of flavor. Well worth it. So glad we came back and have this cafe on our list for the next time we are in town. read more

Chipotle chicken sandwich didn't have any chipotle sauce in it. Came out cold like it had been sitting there for a while, the server said she was calling my number, but we did not hear her calling the number. Outdoor seating which is fine, however too many birds around. So be aware. If negative stars was an option, they would get -5. But since, it's not an option, 1 star, just because the danish sausage was ok. Service could be better. You're better off with the place next door, Panino. We stopped by during our visit to Solvang. It's a nice place, but the prices are way too high. I understand it's a tourist spot, but even by that standard, it's overpriced. My wife bought a small piece of baklava, smaller than a chicken nugget, for $5. That was the most expensive baklava we've ever bought. We liked to come to this place every time we visit Solvang but it's getting so pricey that it makes us think twice before ordering anything. I appreciate that the cookies and baklava are authentic and tasty but paying $5+ for a small baklava piece (1" wide and 2" long) is pretty steep. All their cookies really went up in price too, they are mostly $7+ for a single cookie and some are $9+. This would be the first time we'll be leaving without buying a box of cookies, not because they are not good but because of the price. Sad. Also, I've always ordered an avocado toast there because they'd put some za'atar spice on it to lift up the taste, but this time it was pretty bland with only some chopped tomatoes and olive oil drizzle on top. Will not be ordering it again here. Again, sad. The turkish coffee didn't taste like before, too, for some reason, maybe they've changed the coffee. Pricey, too, for a tiny cup. The food, Baklava, was already in a box. There was way too much honey, the top was falling off before taking a bite. Could've done better. The service was spotty. We stood there for about a minute while three workers were just standing there talking. We finally got someone to come over, husband got a small baklava gelato, I got a cinnamon honey latte. They barely gave him any gelato and my latte had way too much cinnamon to the point that it stuck to the back of my throat and the temperature was where I could just drink it. "No seat for you!" That's basically what the seat-nazi said to us when we sat down at the courtyard in front of Cafe Dolce. We came here to get sandwiches from Panino and a dessert from Cafe Dolce -- but didn't make it that far because this rude employee made us abandon our table before we even got our sandwiches. There's no signs or any other indications that this courtyard is exclusive to Cafe Dolce customers. It looks like it's meant to be shared by all of the businesses around it, so when we got our order in at Panino (next door) we sat down in the forbidden courtyard to wait. About 5 minutes later, he evicted us -- even though there were plenty of other vacant tables in "his" courtyard. Now we know why! The nutella was so rich and too sweet for me but it was still very yummy. The dubai chocolate was more of my taste and just the right sweetness. The hot chocolates were so good and creamy! I think the coconut couldn't been in smaller chunks for it to be easier to drink than big long strips that could get stuck on the lid of the cup or be a choking hazard with some young kids. Prices of the baklava is very expensive. 3 hot chocolates and 3 baklavas was $63 lol. Thats crazy. The hot choco was $8 (+$1 for almond/oatmilk). Not sure how much the baklava went for but possibly $8-$12 range? Waaaay too much in my opinion. There's Lokum in SLO that sells different types of baklava that sells for $3-$5 per piece. Plenty of other options like acai bowls, ice cream, shave ice, smoothies, boba, breakfast items served all day, sandwiches and plenty more. SERVICE: Quick and easy ordering. Strictly no samples of the ice creams which was fine. It's a family business after all. AMBIANCE: Couple of tables and chairs inside the store but plenty of outside seatings that share with other stores. Clean store but not a big space inside for bigger parties. Definitely recommend checking it out tourist or local. Will definitely come back to try their other menu items. Prices seem to be more tourist prices so just be aware when ordering the baklavas (ask before ordering). Support local! read more

I really enjoyed this place. My goal was to try the pancake house but there was a long line, and we were starving, so we ended up here. I'm so glad we did. The latte and cold brew were just perfect! I ordered avocado toast and to be honest with you all, it was delicious! The eggs reminded me of my mom's cooking. My hubby ordered the veggie omelette and it was yummy. My daughter had the bagel! We ordered a single gelato (but charged for double), a Dubai gelato (which was 1/4 cup of gelato with a teaspoon of toppings), a cup of chocolate "covered" strawberries (with hardly any chocolate but got charged for Dubai strawberries) and a juice box. They charged us over $50 for these items! When we questioned the charge, they just shrugged their shoulders. Unless you want to be overcharged and underwhelmed, find another place to get your gelato and strawberries! read more

A cute little cafe - my partner and I love coming here whenever we're visiting Solvang. The first time we visited Cafe Dolce was back in December 2023 and we were looking for a quick pick me up as it was a little late and we were about to make the trip back home to SLO county. We stumbled upon this cute cafe and was enchanted with the different ice cream and different drink menus. We've gone here a total of five times now, and every time we've visited, we have been treated very kindly and had amazing service. Though the protein smoothie takes awhile, it's very tasty and filling. I'm usually getting a smoothie as well, but today (4/2024) I decided on getting an iced white mocha with oat milk. It was pretty good but I wish it had a little more mocha in it. Though we've only gotten their drinks and frozen desserts, we plan on coming back to possibly try their sandwiches and soups! I also noticed they had acai bowls on their menu! There's so many options that I gotta come back and try - keep an eye out for updates haha!
