One of my favorite coffee shops in the city, due to its plentiful seating and cute decor! Haven't had the chance to try their cocktails, but the coffee is pretty good, albeit a bit pricy ($7ish for an small oat latte). The huge perk is that I always manage to find a seat here, and it's the perfect place for doing some work, catching up with friends or a quick pick me up! read more

Quirky cafe with alcohol. I went there in the evening after hanging out all day at a bar nearby. I had a peppermint tea and shared a chocolate croissant. Both were fine. The atmosphere was interesting. It was dimly lit with plants around so I got a bit of a woodsy almost jungly vibe. All in all, we had a comfortable time lounging a bit. read more

I decided to try to find a cute cafe to get some quick work done on a random Sunday and ended up coming across this place. The ambiance looked perfect from the outside. The second I walked in I was greeted with a death stare by an employee who was moving chairs around, i guess i got in his way for a second? I smiled and apologized and he proceeded ignoring me and successfully pissing me off. I got an ice latte with hazelnut which actually tasted pretty good. Unfortunately, 2 seconds into me sitting down I was told the boss has a rule of no laptops on the weekend. I'd love to know the reason why when the cafe was almost completely empty. Nearly $8 for a coffee and I can't sit down for 30 minutes on my laptop?? Id understand if it was busy and there were people to chat with but... empty. Never again. read more

Yelped them before I chose them over Starbucks Reserve. Best choice I ever made. It didn't disappoint. My husband said his Americano with Agave was everything. He made my daughters chai vanilla matcha latte better than she ever had it. Wish I had time to sit amidst the huge plants, books and wares. Next NYC trip. read more

Watered down latte. I swear I got the wrong drink. I wouldn't have minded but I paid extra for that non-dairy milk. When I tried asking the baristas about it, they looked at me like I was a confused person. I could not even enjoy my stay there as the wifi was slow and did not even load my social media. I was so mad that I left. Never go here as the baristas don't know what they are doing. read more

Cannot stress about how much I love to work at this cafe, friendly staff and great interiors ambiance. Obviously the natural light with plants and flowers helps add characteristics to this place and makes you feels good to focus and work. read more

Great spot! Early on it's pretty quiet with plenty of seating. It's a lovely atmosphere--lots of light, tons of great design details, and the plants and flower are gorgeous. Pretty straightforward coffee and pastry menu. I wasn't sure how good it'd be but it was a solid iced dirty chai--not too sweet and flavorful and my husband's cappuccino was good as well. We both got a caramel cruffin and it was SO GOOD!! Comfortable place to sit and read or do work, never felt rushed! read more

Great coffee shop, great service, and a lovely relaxing space where you can enjoy your coffee. Nice decor with some plants and spaced out tables. My husband and I stopped in for two lattes. The coffee was delicious! Extra precautions were even taken as we saw the employee using a napkin while placing the coffee lids on our cups. Very clean coffee shop. read more

Was not a fan of the ambience. I get that it's a bar/coffee shop but it's 3pm so not fond the loud club music so early in the day. Don't take your mom here for a date. Nice decor but that's about it. Service was poor. Baristas were more into their conversation then taking my order. Coffee was alright. Not a lot of options. I don't intend on coming back. read more

Recently discovered this spot and not only is the iced coffee amazing but the space is so well decorated with socially distanced indoor seating and outdoor covered seating. It's attached to a flower/decor shop so great way to browse while waiting for your coffee. The staff are friendly and the ambiance is relaxed so it's a good place to get some work done without it being too loud. It's on busy 8th Ave it's a nice place to pop in for a break from the hustle and bustle. read more

Charming cafe/bar. They're also a florist and the plants are beautiful. Maybe it's because that's also part of their business they don't hassle you if you only feel like hanging out and ordering a tea or coffee. I haven't tried their food yet but my friends really enjoyed the muffin and pastries they had. They also serve cocktails: I had a very good Negroni-type drink. The place itself is very aesthetic and perfect for getting work done. I ordered the iced matcha latte which tasted terrible (tasted like water and matcha). Paid around $6 so not worth it. The place is very nice tho so if you go, don't get the matcha latte. read more

Extremely cute cafe in the Chelsea area with great decor. My friend and I wanted to find a place to sit and we stumbled upon this place. It was decorated for the holidays so there were frosted Christmas trees everywhere. There's plenty of seating. It's connected to what I think is a flower shop on the side, which also has more seating. The interior for this side was filled with huge plants. I saw many people on their laptops, so I'm assuming it's a nice place to get some work done. I wouldn't say this place specializes in coffee or tea, but it's still a cute place to come into if you want to relax or catch up with friends! read more

Rating this location a 2 is simply for the ambiance. The service and food were not great. I placed my order to stay, and it took them over 30 minutes to prepare my iced latte. The only reason it was completed was because I got up and asked about my order. One of the employees gave me an attitude when I asked for my order, and the other employee was super friendly. read more

Honestly I was already obsessed with this place but they just remodeled and became even cooler. The owner is super sweet and his Shibu Inu wanders around the store sometimes saying hi to people. It's so gorgeous and maximalist and well designed. The staff is always friendly, and the coffee is good. It always has more chill music and you can sit on your laptop or read your book here. It's also open till 8 which for some reason is hard to find in the city. So many coffee shops close at 5/6. read more

It's a nice place. Especially the larger room with the plants. Not sure why it's listed with one $. It's not super expensive but not cheap. And as some have already reported, the music is TOO LOUD! A friend that lives in the area wanted to meet there. And we had to practically shout to have a convo. It got old after a while, and we left so we could catch up. My friend who regularly patronizes this place (and is also in the service industry) attempted to gently convey the issue, but the response was that it depended on where you sat. Lol It does not. It's loud all over and extra loud if you're close to a speaker. It's ridiculous because it's such an easy fix. Just lower the volume a little so people can talk. Oh well read more

I am a regular. I love this cafe. The decor and atmosphere makes me relaxed so that I can write. I am a screenwriter. I went yesterday, Monday, April 24 at 5pm. Marlene or Maureen, a staff member was nice to me. She explained to me that some people go and sit at the cafe for hours to use the wifi and only pay for one item. She didnt tell me the wifi was down. I payed $17.50 for wine and a spinach pie only to discover that the wifi was down. I waited an hour (it was 6pm) for the wifi to come back on - and it never did. Muhammed is the manager. He is nice too. Next time, I told him to place a sign on the door that the wifi is down because a lot of people go to the cafe to specifically use the wifi. I could have saved my money and used the free wifi at the Gay Center on 14st. I understand the cafe may lose money but they get some customers. Give the wifi to only those customers who will pay a certain amount. Don't punish the customers who don't abuse the wifi and sitting at the cafe. read more

this coffee shop is up and running despite the circumstances that are corona remain. barista is quick and attentive and will have your drink ready to drink in no time.... sorry for the older generations who aren't fond of this concept but it's CARD only!!! in other words, no cash!! credit cards only. I was personally greeted by the owner of this store, Raul or Raoul, the world (or me specifically) will never know. It was with unanticipated warm ness that he shook my hand and allowed me to coddle with his beloved dog that imparted a sense of trust with me as the first customer of this shop, that has gained him a customer for life. hats off to Raoul, and wishing the best of luck with his coffee shop and interior store (adjacent next door). read more

The interior is pretty but the coffee is bad. They clearly did not hire a real barista. I ordered a cappuccino and the milk was completely burnt. Me and my dad accidentally came across this place, needing to use the bathroom but we stayed for the good vibes and food! The menu only has a small selection but everything is really good and cheap too. It's also vegan friendly which is a plus for my dad. I came in here for breakfast because it was close to where I was staying and I was in desperate need of coffee. I ordered an iced almond milk latte and a bacon egg and cheese taco. I enjoyed the taco, but beware the hot sauce that accompanies it takes your breath away lol. The latte wasn't anything special but it did the trick. I really enjoyed the decor and overall botanical vibe. I would def be interested in seeing how it is at night when it turns into a bar. read more

A friend and I ran to this cafe trying to escape a downpour! Everyone was nice and offered us some paper towels to dry off. Enjoyed the interior (beautiful flowers and art) and the coffee was great. The split interior allowed you to be either in a mode open space or somewhere cozier. Would recommend if you're in the area. read more

Beautiful little spot! Love that they're dog-friendly, and the energy is really nice and relaxed. They don't have a super extensive food and drink menu, but I feel like this is one of those places that's worth going for the space itself. Just found this place near my apartment and it might be my new go to - reasonable prices, a decent amount of seating, wifi (theirs and LinkNYC), plenty of outlets, lots of natural light! Feels very well set up to socialize or work - like a streetside cafe if the street was indoors. And so cute! Will certainly keep coming back until it gets too busy, as I'm sure it will sooner or later. read more

ok drinks nothing crazy wouldnt be my go to place to grab coffee not only that but the staff is so rude specially the girl. twice I went in for a chai latte with oat milk both times saw her made it with regular milk like doesnt pay attention to what she's doing, also ordered a pastry took her a while to realize she still hadnt given it to me. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

RIP, I miss their Mac n cheese.... the vibe is completely different now (think extravagant Mediterranean vibes, it's very instagram-mable with the beautiful bar area). I had made a reservation for 5:30 (again, life with a baby is very different)- we arrived early but the staff were very gracious and were able to get us seated. They seated us in a side alcove area where they had cushioned seating, which was very helpful. What we Ordered: Drinks: Barlume Spritz and Hibiscus Mule (N/A cocktail)- drinks were good, nothing too special but we appreciated the cute stirrers Appetizer: Halloumi- grilled halloumi with roasted eggplant puree. The saltiness of the halloumi went so well with the creaminess of the eggplant. (Baby liked the eggplant puree too hah) Entrees: Lobster Arrabiatta and Duck Ragu and Truffle Pizza. My husband got the lobster arrabiatta and was raving about how delicious it was. He said it was the perfect level of spice. My duck ragu was served with busiate (a corkscrew shaped pasta) which I thought 'trapped' the sauce perfectly so you get a nice saucy bite each time. Pasta was perfectly al dente- my one gripe is that I felt the duck ragu was a bit too salty, which even managed to overpower the tomato flavor. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my favorite in the whole meal, the kataifi gives it that wonderful crumbliness and it went soooo well with the mango sorbet that's served with it. Recommend for a nice dinner with friends or a cool place to grab drinks! 4.5 stars

We opted for the Boqueria Experience, which is $65 per person and includes a variety of chef-selected tapas, a paella and an order of the restaurant's special JAMÓN IBÉRICO DE BELLOTA, which is described on the charcuterie menu as aged 48 months, with deep marbling, rich and nutty flavor. We enjoyed most of the tapas, including the potatoes, the beef/lamb balls, the salad and bruschetta. The croquettes were "ok" with the heavy aeoli masking some of the flavor. The seafood paella was good and was different from ones I've had in the past, with the caramelized layer on the bottom. Yum. Honestly, none of us was a big fan of the Jamon Iberico de Bellota. I'm sure it's special and luxurious, but we found it not to have much flavor. Frankly, it was a big disappointment for us. The service was beyond excellent. We were very pleased with the timing of the presentation of the meal, the superb water service and the general enthusiasm and pleasantness of the Staff. We will come back and try different items on the ala carte menu. I thought there would be more seafood and meat tapas offerings in the "Experience". Instead, it was a lot of cheese, vegetables, dates and bread. Although $65 per person likely was a good value for what we got, I think the tapas items were heavy on the lower cost tapas and that it wasn't a true top-of-the-line "Experience". A seafood dish or even a chicken dish (chicken wings) instead of one of the two croquette offerings would have helped.
