It is a good cafe and breakfast spot. I tried the avacado toast and it was very well done and very fresh. I couldn't try coffee but looking at the crowd it must be decent too. They have both inside and outside seating options. Highly recommend for morning breakfast. They have many sweet and dessert options available too.

During my cousin's visit, this was her and her bf's favorite spot to get coffee and pastries. So I had to see for myself. While our stay at The Maxwell- Staypineapple, we stopped by the morning we're heading home. I must say, it's not my favorite. The pastries were yummy, but nothing special. They didn't even offer to heat up the pastries for us. For the coffee, all I gotta say is after Cafe Hagen, we crossed the street to Turtle Coffee and satisfyingly got our caffeine fix there. Service was alright, it wasn't very welcoming and they weren't very helpful. We ordered 2 pastries, salted caramel latte and breakfast sandwich, added sausage and avocado for extra fee. The sausage was different.. its the links. And they forgot to add the avocado that they charged me extra for. For the price point, and service- no thank you.

We went here in the morning during a little trip to Seattle. It's small but well laid out with their pastry section and counter. Everything looked amazing, so we chose a few items to try out. Service was pretty quick and friendly and the food/drink was great! Highly recommend checking this place out for a nice little cafe experience, though be warned- this place is popular so it'll get busy quick!

Definitely the spot for you if you like horrible service and tasty food. I work and live nearby so I find myself coming here frequently. There is a particular barista working nearly every time I come in; they are so miserable and unfriendly that I have decided not to go back. Each and every time they do not greet me and today they said "what do you want?". What I want is a little hospitality on the side of my $8 pastry. It's such a bummer because I would love to support a local business, but I cannot deal with their stank attitude. Let me know when they quit. Shout out to whoever makes the tomato and ricotta croissant.

Grabbed a quick breakfast here and everything was delicious. It was crowded but to be expected from a good place on a Saturday morning. The breakfast bun and the tomato croissant were very good and the overnight oats were surprisingly good.

Fellow Yelp Elite, Dawne from Florida, flew from Tampa to Seattle right before Hurricane Helene. I was happy to meet up with her. The cafe originally selected was strangely closed on a Friday mid morning. Thankfully, plan B was a short walk away to Hagen Coffee Roasters (9/27/24). Last December, we first met at a Cafe Hagen atop Queen Anne, so it seems we are continuing this hygge tradition. Upon entering, one is greeted with a vast pastry case of enticing sweet and savory items. Because of the line, there was ample time to ponder the choices. Decent menu featuring both eats and bevs. Dawne ordered a pumpkin chai latte. I ordered a 16oz mocha and one of their raspberry layered shortbread bars to share. Mocha was well crafted. We enjoyed the well balanced bar too. We were lucky to snag an indoor two top. Both the indoor and outdoor seating were near full. Pleasant interior and welcoming vibe, adding to the site's popularity. I appreciated that we were able to catch up for over two hours onsite. Interesting though versus other onsite roasters like Red Twig, Zoka, Herkimer, Caffe Vita, Cafe Javasti as examples, there was not any overt coffee roasting scent. Counter staff efficiently got the job done, but a tad standoffish.

Love their lattes. Not a fan of the avocado toast. The bread was thick and tasty, but I would have preferred it toasted. The avocado was overwhelmed by a LOT of fresh dill and mint that wasn't fully destemmed. The sunny side up egg was fried over well. Would order this again, but will come back for the coffee.

A cozy cafe filled with people casually reading books, working on laptops, and more. Has a variety of savory and sweet pastries. I got the København Latte with oat milk, and it was very smooth. It had strong vanilla notes, but the other spices came out and complemented it well. All the wood and neutral colors really bring out hygge. The staff was very cheerful, and it made the experience all the better

Love this little neighborhood cafe. Good coffee. Get the kopenhagen latte if you like cardamom and the seattle fog (their version of a London fog); both are so yummy. Pastries are always solid. The Sunny Seattle and tomato ricotta are our favorites. Busy, but usually can find a table. Also have come here to do work and that worked out well. Free WiFi and clean bathrooms. Not many outlets though.

The churro cruffin was the winning pastry here. No photo as it was devoured before one was snapped. Gingersnap latte was a big thumbs up. Service was quick and friendly with low key alternative music playing.

Was skeptical about the strawberry coconut latte but it turned out so good! cute cafe place fast service loved the pear crème brûlée, was worried about the pear in the middle and it was the best part

I'm so surprised at the mixed reviews because I had such a solid five-star experience at both Hagen locations in Seattle. My partner and I were in town for work, arriving early on a (rainy) Monday morning. We sat down at separate tables, which were pretty small, to make room for our individual breakfasts and laptops, until more people showed up in the afternoon. Wi-Fi was strong. Coffee was strong. Honestly the best pour over I've ever had, and I wouldn't normally say that about a dark beverage. Had a delicious Blueberry Danish and Brie & Prosciutto Toast. The seedy toast made it feel extra healthy. I mostly wanted to come here because of my positive experience at the other Hagen. Pricey but would totally come here again.

I really wanted to like this place but they completely forgot my breakfast skillet and I waited patiently for 25 minutes before asking about it and they claimed that I didn't order it. I came here for breakfast and latte. I definitely ordered my breakfast and they just forgot to make it. No apology was issued. They did. It accept any accountability. The definition of poor service. They did absolutely nothing to make it right. On top of everything, the "healthy" skillet is smothered in tons of cheese making it the opposite of healthy. With plenty of other breakfast and coffee places, I highly suggest going elsewhere! The latte and americano were good but there are better places in Seattle to get good espresso.
