The Seattle Freeze is real! Worst service I've had in a while. No wifi password is displayed anywhere (I checked) so I asked--the barista cooly gave me the password (WiFi pw: espresso, all lower-case) like it pained her. It's a shame because this was a chill and cool (pun intended) place to work out of. I like their small express working stations--they're like phone booths but no door. Small signs say 20 minutes max in the express working stations, but I stayed 40 minutes--shh! There's other cool seating areas including lush sofas and lots of outlets. I enjoyed my 20 oz iced oat honey blackberry latte ($6.40 + extra for oat milk.) Lots of specialty lattes that sound cool like cardamom vanilla, tiramisu mocha, and creme brulee. When I asked for the bathroom code (6081), I got a similar chilly response. Sheesh! I'll take my business elsewhere--there's lots of coffee places in the area. This is my second bad experience with one of the workers here. She's got round glasses, is on the shorter side, and has very short hair. I purchased a bagel, and after 10mins of waiting, kindly asked where it was. They had forgotten about it in the toaster - no problem! When the worker handed it to me, her coworker (described above) glared at me and shook her head. This is my second horrible experience with this worker. The first time I came in to look at the pastries to decide if I wanted one, and decided against it so left. She again glared at me and seemed visibly upset that I didn't want a stale pastry. I will not come back to this establishment. They really need to check the attitude on workers! If you work in a customer service field, you shouldn't get so upset over simple interactions. read more

So close to our Hotel...and a couple wonderful lattes with local beans. We will be back for a cortado or something sweet. The cinnamon roll is like a croissant and not too sweet. Such a nice surprise. Bummer that our hotel, the Kimpton Vintage hotel didn't suggest it. Maybe someone from here can swing by some cards or stickers to let them know at the front desk to send their guests their way. Wish they had a list of local coffee places, as they have crap coffee in the lobby and stop serving it at 10! Ack. My go to coffee place before heading to work! I usually stop by here for my morning coffee on days I go in the office. Luckily it's right across my work building so I'll sometimes also pop by in the afternoon. I typically get an iced salted caramel latte with oat milk and it hits every time! It doesn't taste watered down at all and I can definitely taste the salted caramel without the coffee overpowering it. I recommend trying their veggie burrito it's a great breakfast item - it'll keep you full until lunch time. 4/21/25 - I purchased a tuna melt panini yesterday early afternoon. I had not eaten any foods prior to my first time shop at Voxc, located at Virginia and Terry, near Cornish Arts Institute, downtown Seattle. The place looked clean with the exception of a fly buzzing around inside. An hour later, I ate my tuna melt, the taste was good, I noticed some residual toast crumbs on both sides of my sandwich- I figured the toast residual resulted during earlier lunchtime orders, so I ate my sandwich in my home with a cup of Campbell tomato soup. I skipped dinner, later on I went to bed. Around 3am, I experienced severe stomach cramps, and gas bubbles growling throughout my digestive system. Required bathroom from 3a to almost 4am. It was obvious the extraction waste was definitely from the tuna melt panini! Food contamination is so easily contracted if a certain level of cleanliness is not followed and it was Not applied in my situation. Disappointing that the place looked clean, (on the surface) my intuition told me to pay attention to the fly that was buzzing around but I ignored that obvious sign. Beware, I don't want to have this experience and as usual, I did a tip. read more

Voxx is pretty good, been there a handful of times so far as I work up the street. I don't mind walking a block or two further just to get here in the morning. Definitely a better alternative than Starbucks that is inside pretty much every office building in downtown. It's been never busy in the morning as I get to work on the early side, so I'm in & out pretty fast. Good looking display case with morning pastries, muffins, croissants and some other savory breakfast items. Coffee is pretty good, from Lighthouse Roasters which I believe is a local roasting company. Pastries are from Macrina, Le Fournil and such, so it's nice they are partnering up with local friends. Everything I have had so far has been good and keeps me coming back a few times a week. One slight drawback, depending on which barista is working, your coffee may be stronger or not, lattes may be sweeter or not, etc etc. Prices are pretty good, staff is quick to get your coffee order made, friendly if you want to talk but it's early in the morning so I'm still zzzzzzz. It's a small cafe spot, but there are seats/tables inside to have your coffee & pastry, even work from or sit there and play with your phone etc. Haven't been by for lunch so that may be on the to-do list one day. Great coffee spot near the office! Of all the nearby cafes to where I work, I like to visit Voxx for the coffee (duh!) and the atmosphere. It offers something a little more than the other coffee shops in the area. The first time I visited I wanted to try one of their seasonal drinks, an Iced Lavender Mocha. I like lavender and chocolate, so seemed like a good combination. And it was a good drink, but not my favorite. The amount of milk to the coffee was too much, and too sweet to my liking. So I figured the next time I visit, I'm just gonna stick with my go-to, a big mug of drip. Yes, it's boring, but I kid you not, the coffee here is that good that you do not need the added flavor. Coffee drinkers will rejoice, and if you become a regular like I have become, start a stamp card to score a free drink! And since I like to get outta the office for meetings and such, I like to come to Voxx for the vibe here. Though located in an office building downtown, it couldn't be further from a corporate or cookie-cutter setting. It has vintage/retro furniture inside with an old map in pastel colors and outdoor seating that's covered, but looks out to the city. It provides the break I need. I'm really happy Voxx has become my second office, for it offers good coffee, has pastries and savory items, and there's always a place to sit down outside for when you wanna get away from the office. Came here on a Monday afternoon for a quick coffee break, since it is walking distance to my office. First things first, I absolutely adore the exterior design! They have some outdoor seating with side benches connecting to the store front, perfectly shaded and overall such a nice & clean aesthetic! There was no wait to order, and the barista was friendly when I asked him to switch my order from a to-go cup to a standard 12oz mug. My drink orders are very basic, just a latte with milk substitute (because I'm lactose intolerant). Drink was hot, which is the way I love my coffee, and overall I enjoyed the cozy and quiet ambience of this coffee shop. My first morning in Seattle. I stayed at a hotel in Downtown Seattle. There are so many coffee places! I just picked one near my hotel. Voxx is a small coffee shop in Seattle downtown. The inside seating area is located on one side of the shop facing 6th Street and University. I came here early in the morning. There was no long line, but patrons came in basically non-stop. The decor is modern and simple, not overly ornate. You can see the no-paint concrete columns and ceiling. The colors of the furniture seem to me a bit random. As usual when I come to a new coffee place, I first try their house coffee. If they take care of their house coffee, other things will come into place. So I got a drip coffee and a small pastry. The coffee was aromatic, smooth, not too strong with a nice earthy taste. The pastry I got was a dill scone. It was a novelty to me. On the first bite, I thought it would be sweet like all the scones I had (or made) before. To my surprise, it was not. It was salty and quite flavorful. Of course, the dill taste was there, plus other ingredients, like small pieces of green unions and I think browned shredded cheese at the top. It's quite unique for someone coming from Dallas, Texas. If you are like me coming from the South, come try their dill scone. You'll like it. read more

There's a new coffee shop near my office, and it makes me sooooo happy. They just opened, so the space is kind of bare (they need more people to drop off flyers and business cards for the bulletin board!) and it doesn't seem to be getting as full as the original Eastlake location (yet?), but they have delicious coffee and the only other super-close-by options are the big chains, so... they are a VERY nice addition to the area. They have some pre-made sandwiches from Mike's or something like that, but I haven't had them yet. I just stop by for their delicious mochas. I've taken my coffee "to go" each time (so far) because my office IS so close by, but they do have some tables and a couple of "express work stations" (tabletop and stool) hidden in the little nooks next to the place where you order your caffeine. This place is everything I was looking for as a visitor to Seattle. I wanted an authentic coffee experience and offered some unique flavors. The service is polite and efficient. There is plenty of room inside and outside for seating (although it is a bit warm and crowded inside). There was a line out the door when I walked by (which is usually how I decide whether to try something new). The line moved very quickly and I had my drink in hand back on the road within a few minutes. I opted for the iced vanilla cardamom latte and I was delighted! There are several unique latte flavors and I couldn't pass this one up. The cardamom is not overpowering and the vanilla is a perfect accent. I always love iced versions of drinks, but often they have a dilution of flavor, this was not the case with the latte I ordered. Voxx has two locations (one also in Eastlake), the one in downtown is a smaller spot in an office building, but props for optimizing the small space they do have. They offer a variety of pastries from a few recognizable bakeries - Macrina for example - they also have grab and go items like pre-made sandwiches. The cappuccino I ordered was pretty much exactly the same as the one I had from Wheelhouse because they use the same beans - a dark roast from Lighthouse. I personally am not a fan of this roast but I know alot of Seattleites are. They also resell their own Voxx coffee house blend; however, they don't use these beans for their espresso drinks (odd). Voxx is quick and convenient for those in Downtown, especially for those who like a darker roast. read more

"Unexpectedly excellent" is the phrase that comes to mind when describing Voxx Coffee. I was staying in a hotel nearby and was deeply disappointed that they had no espresso drinks available via room service. Voxx was relatively close and highly reviewed, so off I went. I got 3 breakfast sandwiches, a latte, a cappuccino, and a blueberry scone. They were nice enough to reheat the breakfast sandwiches for me, which was appreciated although I wasn't expecting much from reheated eggs. I got back to my hotel and started to dig in, and wow, these breakfast sandwiches were awesome! I can't imagine how much better they would be fresh, but the bread was nice and crispy, the eggs fluffy, and the various fillings were all hot, including the nice gooey cheese. Coffee-wise this place is tied for the best I had in Seattle. They make a proper, thick, fully mixed latte and the flavor was so amazingly balanced that I now wish I had ordered a decaf backup so I could keep drinking it without going all loopy-doopy. If I'm in the area again I would definitely stop by. read more
