After work I stopped by this new local spot located in the Sobro apartment building. The decor was warm, intimate, and inviting. The staff was super friendly. This would be a perfect date spot. I had the Tiramisu and Carrot cake. Both were spectacular. The manager explained that all their pastries and desserts are made in Atlanta and brought down weekly. I had a fantastic bourbon cocktail with sparkling wine and meant. Possibly called the Humingbird. This place is an excellent addition to the Sobro scene. read more

Since we were only ordering dessert, we placed our order at the counter and the desserts were brought over to our table. Ignore some other reviews claiming this is a tourist trap... The location of this restaurant isn't really by the major tourist areas and everyone inside did not fit the bill of a "Nashville Tourist". The Croque Monsour Sandwich was AH-FREAKING-MAZING! Can't say I've ever had to eat a sandwich with fork and knife before, but for this sandwich, I definitely did not complain. The restaurant however, I was a little disappointed in considering our white tablecloth was either extremely dirty or covered in stains. I had the salmon pasta, A thin fillet of pasta which was well seasoned over a bed of bowties and white sauce with capers, delicious. Not quite sure it was my favorite for breakfast, but remember, what Americans and Europeans are used to for breakfast is totally different. If you are used to Euro than you will love it. They even had you learning French phrases while in the bathroom lol. Tiramisu is flown in from Italy! My Cappucino wasn't very hot. Maybe due to all the whipped cream in it, but it was just ok for me. Café tables and chairs are small (typical) and difficult to eat a meal at. I've been to the Atlanta area location and liked the food better. This Nashville location was alive but the dessert fell short. Cakes were dry. The service was good and the balcony seating was amusing (Nashville seems to be the bride-to-be hub ) so there were a lot of pedaling groups with sashes. Although the three of us ordered a different cake the flavors were not distinctive, the chocolate layers were bland. The names of the slices were forgettable. Maybe it was the lateness of the day that caused the cake to be dry. I'll try them again just for the people watching. But definitely get middle slices. read more

My family came here as a last resort since there were very limited restaurant options open due to Covid shutting down all the bars in Nashville. They serve breakfast all day so I took advantage of that and got a waffle with strawberries, and when I say it was THE BEST WAFFLE I've ever had, I mean it. It was extremely crispy, buttery, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. If you like breakfast food and are nearby, definitely make the stop. Worst place I've ever NOT eaten... let me explain. We arrived at 3:30pm today looking for a table for 5 + my 6mo old baby that i was holding in my arms. The hostess told us it would be a 20 min wait - despite the MANY empty tables on the floor.... We waited for about 40 minutes, and even asked if we could sit at their dessert bar to have coffee and cake- thats all we wanted... the answer was "yes, if there is a spot on the bar." There wasn't, so we waited... the hostess ended his shift, nobody came to see us or check to see if we needed anything since it had been 45+ minutes and i was holding a baby the entire time.. Finally there was a spot at their bar and we decided to sit there since it had been a long time waiting and no update on our table- again, many people left and nobody called our table! I sat at the bar holding my sleeping baby, and still nobody came to take our order. One waitress finally came, not to help us but to tell me i couldnt sit in their "bar" (its a coffee shop............not a real bar) because i had a baby and if i was there nobody could order alcohol. I told her we just wanted a coffee and dessert and she said: if you sit here no other costumer can order a drink... No care whatsoever that we had been waiting for a table at this empty coffee place, but she cared that the lady using their computer to work at their "bar" wouldnt be able to order alcohol..... We left, paid 20$ for parking to wait for 1hour+ at the worst place for costumer service i have ever experienced! So disappointed for such a high end expensive place to get a piece of cake! Not sure where the owner/manager was, but this place deserves no stars- does not care for its costumers! read more

My family and I ended up here unexpectedly as we stopped in Nashville on our way home to Chicago from Daytona. Much to our surprise, most of downtown was closed (the week prior it seemed so full of life). We stumbled upon this restaurant as it was near the garage we parked, and it was a hidden gem. It serves breakfast all day, which was a nice surprise. Salads were tasty and plentiful, Main dishes were appealing and a step up from standard Italian dishes. Overall it was a great experience, and the staff was amazing. All of them were great, and each checked in on us during our dining experience. I just ordered some food from Cafe Intermezzo on postmates and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. My meal was $35 for two crepes and some potatoes. Both crepes were incredibly overpriced for what was delivered. The crepes were SO small and one was $11 while the second was $14. Truly a hidden gem in Nashville. We've lived here two years and had no idea this place was here until we walked by it. It has the BEST patio to relax on and have a cocktail or coffee! They are drink alchemist and have an AMAZING variety. Dinner was soo soo tasty! The spicy tortellini is the best! Don't miss out on the cake tour either!
