We stumbled upon this tiny quaint little restaurant and what a treat! It was so clean, the staff very friendly, and the food was so good! The locals were raving about it. We went on a Wednesday mourning at 8:30am they weren't open, even though business hours are 7:30-2:30pm. Too bad, the area is pretty busy, seems like a loss of business to whoever owns it.. Eggheads restraunt is right up the street and they had a 45 minute wait. So apparently people are hungry for a good breakfast. Came here after 1st place we stopped up the street had a 35 minute wait. What a fantastic find! No wait, excellent, high-quality food, and strong coffee from Thanksgiving Coffee Co. Modest but cute decor. We had chorizo breakfast burrito (huge and tasty, I could only finish 1/2) and chorizo and veg scramble (boyfriend loved it, couldn't believe how much chorizo it had) with a fruit cup. Even fruit cup was impressive - 7 different fresh and sweet fruits! Highly recommend and plan to return next time we are in Fort Bragg. read more

Traveling with my family down the Pacific coast, we needed to stop and wash our clothes. I really liked this little cafe, which is right next door to Lucy's Laundromat in Fort Bragg, CA. They made the best fruit/yogurt parfait I've ever had, with fresh berries, banana and mango mixed throughout, not just a paltry top layer. Yes, Claire and I will go back again ! We both had huevos rancheros, hers without the chorizo which I thought mild enough for even my tastes. With a salsa bar and pastries from Costeaux's Bakery in Healdsburg, it'll become one of our favorite places for breakfast. read more

Pretty mellow Mexican cafe. I had scrambled eggs with veggies and chorizo. Was very tasty. The refried beans tasted fresh and homemade. They even have a small salsa bar, the salsas could be hotter, but this northern Cali after all. I was also surprised by the good quality of the coffee, locally brewed n tasty. I do quite a bit of traveling and have been to many restaurants, some good, some not so good.This place is one of the good ones. It's nothing fancy, with a small staff that gives very personal service. I believe this dynamic, is why it took a little bit longer to receive our meal, but our waitress was very nice, and it was every minute worth the wait. Our food was superb! I ordered the Huevos rancheros and a fresh squeezed orange juice with coffee, and my friend ordered a breakfast burrito. The food was super fresh, with generous portions, immaculately prepared and very much authentic. It's one of those places where every dish you see coming out, you wish you could try. If you are ever, in Fort Bragg, this should be one of your first stops. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Wow this place impressed us. Small little restaurant but big taste!! My husband wasn't up for Mexican food but I was so this place satisfied both of us. It was very busy when we went so had to wait a while but really worth the wait. The waiter was friendly and working hard to serve everyone....he did a great job. My husband had ham and eggs with hashbrowns and toast....very good and hashbrowns cooked perfect. I had their breakfast burrito with beans and hashbrowns...wonderful, especially with the salsa from the salsa bar. We also shared the crapes....delicious with fresh fruit. Coffee great too!! Highly recommend trying this place even if your not up for Mexican food...they have enough American breakfast to choose from!! read more

From the delicious food options to the wonderful service, Cafe Jaavy delivers. We had crepes, a breakfast sandwich, pancakes, and omelettes. It was all delicious and fresh. They were even happy to substitute some side items for us. We also got 2 specialty coffees. All for under $24! Given the crazy prices for food in Fort Bragg, this was a treat.
