This place has a cute cafe look. There are about 10 tables and a walk up counter. We were there for lunch. The vegan black bean wrap was delicious. It came with a side. I tried the chickpea salad and enjoyed it, but it is a small portion. The wrap is big though! I had the iced black tea which was strong. My daughter enjoyed her avocado toast and matcha latte (not sweet as a side note). We split the oatmeal cookies with marshmallow filling. It was scrumptious! The service was good, too.

Super cute little cafe downtown! The atmosphere was great. We took our coffee out to the patio and sat with our dog. The patio was pet friendly and they even had a water bowl for the dogs! They had a pretty big menu with lots of options and a good selection of pastries and sweets. The food was great. I had the sunrise bagel and my husband had a cheese danish. I had a hot butternut latte and he had an iced vanilla latte. The coffee honestly wasn't our favorite but the food definitely made up for it. Overall positive experience. I would come back!

Great spot with ample parking and outdoor seating. This is a counter order place with lots of soup-salad-sandwich options along with grab and go drinks and pastries. Staff were friendly and helpful. We really like the seating indoor and outdoor was comfortable and spacious. Food was good portion and fresh.

We have loved walking over to cafe Julia during our stay in South Haven! It's such a nice space with both indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone that works there has been super nice each time we have gone there & they took my dairy allergy super seriously, which I appreciated! Their coffee is great and they have lots of different drink options, which includes a list of seasonal drinks not posted on their website! The coffee is strong, so consider that when ordering. Their food is also good - the NY style bagels are delicious! Highly recommend if you're staying nearby!

Super cute place! Came in and was greeted right away. The barista that took my order was knowledgeable on all their drinks and food. The drinks were good and the BLT I had was delicious. The place was clean. Bathroom was clean. Good amount of tables inside for meet ups or studying. I ordered a London Fog, BLT and their granola cookie. The granola cookie was my favorite. It wasn't overly sweet and complimented my tea very well. The BLT was delicious, bacon was perfectly cooked. The bacon had a nice bite and enough chewiness. Most places overcook the bacon and it's too crispy. Would come back to this place again!

The food was so delicious. We ate breakfast here twice during our stay in South Haven and were blown away both times. The service was amazing and friendly, even when the place was full. They even took the time to explain how they made some of the breakfast items.

We stopped in every morning this week and it was always such a great way to start the day. Incredibly nice people, delicious food and pastries, great drinks. I loved the fresh lemonade and their iced teas. We went to quite a few places in south haven and this was my favorite. Fresh good food! Great atmosphere with several porches and patios. We love the pastries at Julia's but the coffee took so long to make we had finished our piece of cake and still had to wait for our coffee. When we finally got our coffee it was so awful tasting I couldn't drink it. So we threw them out along with the $10 we paid for them. read more

They catered a family event for us. I'd called them with only a few days lead time for the Saturday of Harborfest. We'd had to change the number of people a couple of times, but they were able to handle all my changes in plans with no problem. They did a fantastic job with the variety of food and accommodation of different dietary needs. And the food was wonderful. They delivered it, too, at the time I needed them too, after changing that a couple of times also. read more

We were just at Juia's over the 4th of July and loved the menu and food. We had an amazing chicken salad sandwich, cole slaw and an amazing granola cookie! My daughter had one of their specialty drinks and loved it also!! We will definitely go back and would highly recommend it! The staff is young but it is not fine dining... just a cute little cafe and loved the food!!! read more

My husband and I stopped here for a light breakfast. I got a cappuccino and a boston cream cronut. Both were delicious! I hate it when boston creams don't have enough filling in them but this one definitely had the perfect amount. The ambiance is cute and relaxed. I will definitely revisit this cute coffee shop on my next visit to South Haven. read more

Had dinner and enjoyed it. My wife has difficulty with cheese and the staff took care of her spaghetti just fine I had a meatball sandwich which was perfect. Jordan was a terrific server. Only drawback was the background music. Yeow, schmaltzy old tunes my parents liked and I'm 62. Great food, though. read more

ok coffee but workers weren't too nice. maybe i overwhelmed the lady at the cashier with my drink order plus whip cream in a cup for my dog but she didn't really like the whip cream request... she said she's never done that before so naturally i answered with "its just whip cream in a cup..." her response: "i went to culinary school for 16 years i know what whip cream in a cup is" ... sorry to inconvenience your staff cafe julia! also i never got my green juice. read more

Vegetarian sandwich options are hard to find so I was delighted when I found out they had a sandwich with no meat. It was the best sandwich I've ever had. Most vegetarian sandwiches are just regular sandwiches without the meat, but this one had plenty of veggies which made it so filling. Their cold brew is amazing too! Staff is very helpful and nice. Very excited to come back. read more

Traversing Michigan on a business trip this SoCal boy was drawn to the coast, where I found the hamlet of South Haven. I stopped at Cafe Julia and found that they actually served my favorite new brand of tea: Chartreuse! I found it at my local beach cafe and was surprised when, on a business trip to Detroit, that it is actually made in Michigan! I strongly recommend all you unemployed and underemployed Michiganians to head over to Cafe Julia and support your local brew. Come for the food, but stay for the tea, dudes and dudettes! The Chartreuse hibiscus tea is gnarly and good enough to justify stopping just for a refreshing glass of hibiscus tea! Dude! read more

When the other coffee shops are closed, Julia's is open. Great cappuccino and amazing breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Easy to get to and park since one street off of main promenade. Highly recommended. read more

We stumbled upon this place on the last day of our vacation. The egg sandwich and quiche were delicious and the coffee was great as well. Great atmosphere and friendly service. We took chocolates chip cookies for later and they were awesome. Wish we found cafe julia sooner!! read more

New menu and much lower quality, what a disappointment! I was so excited in July of 2010 to discover this cozy coffee shop with multiple fresh gourmet made-to-order sandwiches. This week I was informed that they "recently changed the menu" - which unfortunately meant eliminating the unique lunch fare and replacing it with 5 options for pre-made, refrigerated sandwiches. The italian sandwich was fair and the bread was soggy, turkey was mediocre. Can get better quality at a grocery store. It seems the quality really went downhill, prices did not. Even less appetizing, I saw on the way out that the scrambled egg breakfast sandwiches were all pre-made and being loaded into the fridge too. Bummed that I need to start all over again to find a decent sandwich shop in South Haven. read more

I love Café Julia's in South Haven, MI. I come here often and I live in Grand Rapids, MI. They treat everyone with kindness and it doesn't matter what you order, how you dress or how much you spend. The upstairs "conversation pit" at Cafe Julia's was a perfect, private, elegant and comfortable venue for a small get-together. Seated 7 of us in a circle of comfy chairs with low tables for our eats/drinks, there were still some unused seats. Very much better than a big tables with chairs, SUPER idea. Lunch was fresh and delicious and service was excellent. Highly recommend!!!! read more

Was extremely disappointed this past weekend. I have loved going to Julias over the years and had always made it a point to stop by during my trips to South Haven. In fact, we even had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding there, which was delicious.....at the time. This past weekend I ordered the Cafe Salad which was disgusting, to say the least. I paid $10 for iceberg lettuce and canned chicken nastiness. Even the wrigley bar seemed to be lacking. What happened to the quality..if we're paying good money for a salad, I'd like to get something in return. Bring the spice of life salad back! read more

We dropped in on a long car ride. We ordered an iced coffee, iced chai, breakfast sandwich and veggie sandwich. It took 15 minutes to get our food. The breakfast sandwich had overcooked bacon and the veggie sandwich had way too many carrots. We would not recommend this place. read more

Ten of us went to Julia's for lunch the day before my daughter's wedding. Since we had a large group, I called ahead about two weeks in advance. The person I spoke to assured me we would have a table and took my name. When we arrived, the manager had no record of our party and told me they were completely booked. He was rather dismissive and didn't seem very concerned. We found some open tables and put them together. Everyone ordered their food separately. Some orders came out during the course of 45 minutes..they were just sandwiches. An hour later two of us still had not received our sandwiches. I requested to speak to the manager who was very rude, telling me they were busy and there was nothing he could do (honestly, he seemed more bothered that I had pulled him aside, and had no desire to make anything right). Finally, a very kind waitress came to our table, asked us what we ordered, and had our food out to us in under 5 minutes. She also apologized and brought us complementary cookies and brownies. She should have been the manager! The food was good, but the management was awful. I would not eat at Julia's again and caution you if you plan on going there with a large group! read more

The only way I could do that was if you had to do a little more work and I would be happy with it but you have a hard day and you don't want me working on your day so you don't want it all the way through so you can do your job I would be able do you have to work read more
