It's like diabetes heaven up in here. Came here with my housemate after we finished finals and we shared the Strawberry Dreaming brick toast. I've had brick toast elsewhere back in San Francisco and in Fremont but damn, this definitely beat everywhere I've been so far. The brick toast is H U G E. And for $12, it better be!! But anyways my housemate and I sat by the windows on bar seats and casually munched away on it. The fruits and ice cream were fresh, and the toast was nice and buttery. I always like to let the ice cream melt a bit so I could dab the square pieces of toast and soak up the flavor. Overall, I'd give it 5 stars. Then we decided to try their milk tea. They come in a larger sized cup for about $4 and they use real tea which I like. There's even a chart by the register that says how sweet do you want your drink? I mean .. we just wanted a regular kind of sweet but when we got our drinks.. it was pretty bitter. Like.. there was a dash of sweet but for the most part really tea-y. If you're into the sweet kind of milk tea, I'm assuming you'd want your drink to be 120% sweet. But if you're into the bitter-sweet kinda milk tea, the regular 100% sweet works. I don't know how people can go below that though... so minus one star. The pearls were good though. You must order the Honey Toast!!! It's gigantic and should be split amongst 3-4 people. Sooooo good, but I don't have anything to compare it to since honey toast isn't a thing on the east coast. We ordered the Matcha Temptation Honey Toast (green tea ice cream, red beans, strawberries, kiwi, canteloupe, love letter straws, fudge syrup). The outer bread bowl is tough, so inedible, but the inner toast is perfect. I just gained 50 lbs writing this. This dessert is ridiculous. Their drinks are pretty average. I don't really find anything that makes them special. For one thing, their boba is pretty plain. Before I thought their boba was alright, until I had legit boba from Half and half. I guess no other boba place is really comparable to half and half so that might be one thing but Cafe LaTea's boba tastes like nothing..... My go to boba spot! Even with COVID, they make the ordering process painless and safe. Ordering is now right at the door and while they have markers to line up against the building, a lot of people line up along the seating area (which is awesome and encourages proper social distancing). Everyone in line was wearing masks and so were employees. The employees are all super nice even when there are long lines that go on into the parking lot. You can order ahead on here to pick up for a little additional charge, call to order or just wait in line. Went on Friday night when it was super hot out and although the line was long, once you go your order in, it only takes a few minutes for them to call your order. The worker serving us was super nice and apologized for having to yell out orders even though he didn't have to. I don't often come here for boba specifically, since I prefer different flavors and toppings than the ones Cafe LaTTea generally offers (I'm a big fan of lychee-flavored stuff), but I did visit recently for their BOGO anniversary deal. They're taking orders at the door with a giant plexiglass/plastic sheet set-up, which does make it a little hard for both parties to hear, so speak up! Service is friendly, as usual. They're also now using those plastic to-go cups that most places around have switched to. I like them for the most part, except for that choking/littering hazard of a stopper in the lid. I was ordering for the whole fam, so we ordered five drinks and they told us the sixth would be free. Love a free drink and definitely took advantage of that! I originally had been craving their matcha brulee, but that's not available for take-out since the torch would probably melt the plastic cups. The person helping us suggested the matcha latte instead, and it was honestly pretty good! I also got an oolong milk tea for the extra drink and while it wasn't my favorite kind of roasted oolong flavor, it was still pretty good as well. The drinks came out fairly quickly and overall, aside from the little plastic stoppers, I was pretty satisfied. Everything was accurate according to our order, which is always important to me, since I usually order a lot of drinks with quite a few specifications. Would definitely come back for the matcha lattes again, and after the pandemic for a nice matcha brulee. (And some macarons, the ones here are some of my faves - though like most macarons around, they are pricey). Cute foam bear shape in my friend's taro latte! My chai latte wasn't as creative, but still as foamy. They have a decent selection of French macarons. I've only tried the plum one and it's surprisingly salty when you taste the cream in the middle. It definitely captures some plum flavor. The matcha green tea toast box is just the right size for two people. I'm used to larger ones from Sno-Crave but it takes at least three people to demolish that brick. Service is definitely fast here. Just order at the counter and they'll call your name to pick it up when it's ready. Five stars rewards! Probably only for drinks though. I found it kinda cool that there was steam coming from the toast, under the ice cream piled with red beans. The cubed bread in the middle of the brick was warm and toasty. There's a tiny cup filled with watered down maple syrup to dip the bread into if you're into that. The interior of this place is hip and modern-- I'd say similar to a what a loft in NYC would look like. I have been to this place a few times. I felt it was an ok tea place. Nothing really stood out, not even the silky milk they are known for. Tried it once and did not impress me. They do have a lot of rose flavored tea items which are unique and delicious. I have not tried their ginormous honey toasts yet but I did like their macaroons. I ordered a lavender and green tea macaroon. The green tea one actually had a piece of red bean in the middle which was a pleasant surprise. For this particular review I tried the red bean milk tea with pearls and the less sweet option since I knew the red bean flavor and beans would be super sweet. It was a nice beverage although I personally thought there was way too much red bean. The cafe also uses the fiveStar reward card system. Be warned though that if you come not too soon after the place opens that things may not be booted up yet. Not even the menu items were on display and since my taste moods change I did not know what I wanted. So I had to patiently wait for the cashier to turn on the monitors. Then the fiveStars machine was not turned on so my phone number was taken so that it can be credited later. Nope. I checked my account and it was forgotten. I would have thought they would have been ready to start the day so I was disappointed. Good thing was my toddler daughter and I had the whole place to ourselves for a while so that was nice. Came here to see their beautiful latte art and was definitely impressed. I was very scared of spilling my Matcha Latte ($3.95) in the short distance of carrying it from the front counter to my seat because it looked like it was overflowing! The drink touches the very rim of the giant cup, but apparently it's not as ready to spill as it appears (still, I advise being careful not to tilt your cup excessively!). The beverage itself is warmer than it feels at the top layer, but it's not burning hot; either way, it's better to stay on the safe side and be careful when you take your first sip. I've never had Matcha before, but this green tea was delicious, not too strong, but it definitely hits the spot, especially since it was a particularly chilly day. English Breakfast Tea Latte: The design didn't turn out as nicely as the Matcha Latte, instead, it's more faint, possibly because there's less contrast between the tea and the cream? Nevertheless, art is still art, so best to appreciate what is given; after all, maybe it was the artist's intention? This latte, also $3.95, tasted lighter than the Matcha. Both teas are very frothy at the top and have a semi-thick consistency in each sip. Oreo Obsession: Last but not least, the glorious brick toast creation! It was incredible difficult choosing one, but this one stood out the most to me. The sweets on the outside are nicely balanced with the toasted bread. Scoops of cookies and cream ice cream, slices of strawberries, a couple of chocolate wafers, brownie bites, oreos, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle - all on top of a huge cube of bread! And it doesn't stop there! Oh no. The inside is fancy too. Somehow, the inside has been cubed, resembling soft croutons. Can't figure out how they did it. Perhaps the top layer was removed and the inside was sliced? One Friday night, my friends and I were trying to find a dessert/drinks place nearby. One of them suggested Cafe LaTTea as she had been there before and thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately, parking can be a bit tough and limited. Cafe LaTTea shares their parking lot with an apartment complex. However, just keep driving all the way to the back and you'll be able to find additional parking! The night/time that we came, we had to park all the way in the back as all the parking spots were full. When we had arrived, there was a line out the door! All the indoor tables/seats were all taken. It was really busy. However, we noticed that one table cleared up and we quickly swooped on it. Their menu offers snowfall creama, specialty drinks, lattes, milk tea, tea, coffee, cakes, and brick toast desserts. I decided to go with the taro latte, which took about 5 minutes to come out. The latte art was very pretty. The drink definitely had that taro flavor and it wasn't too overly sweet. It also didn't have that powder taste. The drink was actually quite smooth. I did wish the taro latte to be a bit more hotter instead of just warm because it became cold quite fast. However, ever since I had my first taro latte, I now prefer hot taro drinks vs. cold taro drinks. Cafe LaTTea is definitely a popular spot around the area. Throughout the two hours we were there, it was crazy packed/busy. Customers were going in/out. Prices are a bit more expensive compared to other cafes.. Just an FYI, if you're trying to use your card, it's $10 minimum! Damn can this place get any busier?! My cousin and both our moms decided to come here after Christmas in the Park because we were both craving something sweet to eat. And boba. Mostly for the boba. This place is near apartments so I guess you can say the parking lot is somewhat shared between the surrounding businesses and the tenants. A bit of a pain, but as long as you're not hoping for close parking then there's no real worry. I just ended up parking in the far back and walking a bit. First impression: oh. One short sweep around the store and you saw everything. There was a good amount of tables and chairs around but it was so packed that getting a table took a little while but we ended up snagging a corner table next to the bathroom which is unisex by the way. The menu wasn't extensive and I ended up ordering their earl grey milk tea hot and the green tea honey bread I believe. Their earl grey milk tea was strong in flavor and warmed me up while the honey bread was a tad too sweet, but still looked good presentation wise. Between the 4 of us, the bread was easy to devour. It's just not the same when it's made at home. Oolong tea here also seemed better than most places, which I just got cold. I've never had a "snowfall" tea until here, which I thought was good but that one I couldn't drink everyday can be a bit too creamy, but a nice treat every once in a while. My wife really likes the tiramisu milk tea, mango rose green tea, hot honey lemon green tea (sometimes with strawberry and she liked it hot or cold), and decaf white mocha also good hot or cold. She changed her teas a lot too I think she use to get a rose milk green tea and maybe earlier than that I think there was a jasmine one. She likes the crispy chicken there. She always asks for the spice seasoning on the side. They use to have macaroons. I'm not sure what happened to those. My wife use to hate macaroons I could never get her to try it anywhere. I'm not sure why she tried it here, but after that she'd be walking around saying "macarooooon" randomly, and we'd always buy a few. We even bought little plushies of macaroons because she loved it so much there (plushies aren't sold there we bought it elsewhere). If those every come back I'm sure she would want more. Cakes were good too, but kind of expensive- looks interesting. I think it's fun trying at least once. I forget the name of the big desserts but they are so big that was kind of a once thing too. I think we got the oreo one, but it's been a while since we got a dessert. If you give your phone number while order you can rack up some points and those points can be used for teas or a dessert so if you're considering maybe just trying once without paying up points might be a good way to go. The staff here is super super super awesome- super fast too don't really have to wait too long for tea even when it's kind of busy. All of them have super different backgrounds so it's fun chatting with them if there's time; I think some of them don't even "have" to work there, but want to. I like that. Everyone there seems kind of like very close friends or family, and they treat their regulars well too. Good taste in music. Nice hangout area, and whenever friends visit always good place to walk around since it's Main Street area. We loved being here. I've noticed a few people get frustrated about the bathrooms being closed during the pandemic. I totally get it from both sides- we're playing it safe during the pandemic too. Love this place so much! It is probably one of my favorite boba places in the South Bay. The boba here is always cooked to a really nice and chewy consistency, and never disappoints. Also, the drinks are made very quickly. I always get the Rose Green Milk Tea with pearls. To my knowledge, they make their syrups in-house and they taste AMAZING. Other places make their rose teas with dried rose petals or rose water, and that tastes either like perfume or very bitter. But the one here is sweet and floral without being overpowering. I've also tried their Tiramisu milk tea and their Yogurt drinks. If you like Yakult, I definitely recommend those. Their drinks can lean a bit on the sweet side, so I usually get them 60% sweet. The food is also great. My friends and I love splitting one of their honey toasts. It comes loaded with ice cream and fruit toppings. I think one is a good size for two people to split. Their crepe cakes are a pass for me, however. They taste fine, but aren't worth the $11 price point. read more

The hot matcha lattes here are delicious and they always come with a cute latte art which is a plus! I also tried the sesame and pistachio gelato which were also very yummy. The only downside about this cafe is how all the tables are so randomly arranged and are not wiped down consistently after customers come and leave. Friendly people, mostly students come here, people that work there are nice and definitely recommend Jet to make your laté . I usually get the ice cream black tea but I'd recommend this place for honey toast as well read more
