Horrible customer service , short staff . I came here for a coffee and a croissant and called ahead but no answer . When I arrived she said my food would take 20 min . It took 50 min for a croissant. We like the food here, however we have tried to order takeout for the past few weekends and no one will answer the phone. Absolute Must Visit! Walked over from hotel 2 blocks away not knowing what to expect. What a treat! Phenomenal staff, great service and the expresso, perfect. I had "The Garden" which is an egg sandwich on Naan bread with lettuce, tomato, hummus, pepper, onion and Feta...should be called "The Garden of Eden" because it was so fresh and great! This hidden gem of a cafe is perfectly located. It is off the beaten path, but actually on your path if you are walking from the hustling Peachtree St to relaxing greenery known as Piedmont Park. Hidden on 12th street, this little cafe has some indoor and outdoor seating options for you to rest your tired feet. The offer hot and cold coffee beverages as well as some sandwiches and soup. I ordered the grilled cheese and it was pretty darn tasty and grilled cheese is my fav! Quaint locally owned spot and quiet enough to bring your work. There are plenty of tables and breakfast all day on Sunday. However, it's pricey for the quantity and quality of food. I left feeling hungry. The service was also average to slow and the pancakes we got were undercooked. So overall, not the best spot for brunch, but it is quiet and there's no wait. Let me first say, they made the best latte I have ever had. Thats why two stars. Highly recommend the honeycomb latte iced, though hot is very good too. Bathroom was horrific. I felt cleaner before I washed my hands than after. Thank god i had on a mask. Service was very slow frantic and stressful. I could not even stand to watch the barista run back in forth between the kitchen, making highly potent mimosas, steaming oat milk, and checking inventory while taking calls. They were sold out of half the ingredients they needed to make anything: spinach, mushrooms, turkey, bread, cheeses, some other crap. They need more staff and a meditation room. Love to have a local coffee shop in this pocket of Midtown! Located on the bottom of the Piedmont House you can find the newest location of Cafe Lucia. The walkability for this location is five star since you have Piedmont Park and the busyness of Midtown. I parked on the side of the street on 12th as I don't think they have any designated parking in Piedmont House parking deck. Definitely do not park in the gravel lot next to it because you'll get booted! The vibe is similar to their other locations: menu written on the chalkboard behind the register, a couch and some comfy chairs as well as some tables and chairs to get work done. They have a couple of TVs. You can order coffee or cocktails, which is another great perk of this location! I was popping in for coffee so I joined the wifi and sipped on my iced coffee with sugar free hazelnut syrup! The coffee here is seriously incredible. The menu includes a variety of caffeine drinks including drip coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and flavored drinks like lavender and reese's (yum!) They also have smoothies for less than $5. You can order breakfast sandwiches, pastries or cafe sandwiches here. The beer list is solid, including some local brews likes Arches Brewing, Creature Comforts, etc. They also have fun brunch drinks - did someone say mimosas?? Finally a store that opens in midtown that is not a chain or a fine dining wannabe. I may have been streaming too many Friends episodes on Netflix but it reminded me of Central Perk. So far I have gotten a regular drip coffee, they have dark and light roast, I got the light roast and enjoyed it thoroughly. A double espresso shot with no milk or sugar, it was perfectly prepared with an expert hand. I don't know if this will last for ever but they currently have $5 cocktails all day on Friday's. And we are not talk vodka soda, unless that's what you want, their list of delicious specialty cocktails are also all $5! This deal is worth taking Friday off for! read more

The menu was not clear, no prices were stated and worst of all the person taking our order was very rude to both of us and other customers as well. Its really nice to have this place in the neighborhood. Atlanta has few places like this where you can just walk over and have a bite or meet with someone without having to get in the car and battle traffic and parking. My husband got the honeybee latte (honey, hazelnut, vanilla, cinnamon). It just tasted sweet. We couldn't really taste the flavors. I got the lavender latte with oat milk. It was good. I could really taste the flavor. We ordered sandwiches and it took 20-30 minutes. They called out my name ("Jeannie") and someone else took our order. I had to awkwardly take my food off of his table; while asking if his name was "Jeannie" like written on the receipt... His name was Harrison... like the sandwich... I get that they are busy but I saw them bring food to other people's table but they left ours in the pick up area for someone else to grab... Husband got the Bigwhich. I thought it would be too heavy but it wasn't. It was delicious. I got the Harrison. I asked for the honey mustard mayo to be on the side. I don't like mustard but wanted to see if it would have been fine. It wasn't on the side and I didnt like it. And worst of all, it was burnt (reference the photo). We waited 30 minutes to get our sandwiches which made us late to our next destination. So I didn't have another 30 minutes to wait on a sandwich. They also forgot that we ordered the cinnamon bun. So we had to wait another 10 minutes for that. It was not worth it. The icing was good but that's it. There was plenty of seating which was nice. Overall, our experience ok but disappointing. We would go again just for the lattes. They are fairly priced. Takeaways: -Lavendar latte is good -if we visit again, only getting lattes -Bigwhich is good -Expect a 20-30 minute wait on a sandwich. If you want an omelette with undercooked bacon, raw veggies and the slightest hint of cheese, then this is your spot. Or maybe a cold latte that only tastes like milk is more your speed. This place is A1 in my book. The owner is amazing sweet and nice. The decor and the music here is a nice ambiance to just come and relax and unwind. Her ginger tea is beyond fresh, hot and super yummy if you like ginger. I always get the Turkey pesto sandwich, the grilled cheese with bacon or my favorites the homemade chicken salad sandwich. Cafe Lucia is a solid spot for coffee and drinks in Midtown Atlanta. The menu is comprehensive and they can do everything from brunch to dessert, coffee to cocktails. I've been twice - the first time for cocktails with my husband on Saturday night and the second for coffee on a Sunday morning. The cocktail list is inventive and tasty, but both my drink and my husband's drinks were very sweet. In terms of coffee orders, I got an Americano and it was what you would expect. My friend had the Honeybee Latte and she really enjoyed it. Inside is super cute, the workers are always friendly and inviting and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. Each time I've been, it has taken about 10-15 minutes to get drinks, even when there is only one other order in front of me. If you need a quick coffee, this isn't your spot. But if you've got some time to sit down and hang out, it's well worth your time. Parking in Midtown can be difficult, but there is usually street parking in front of Cafe Lucia. I came into cafe Lucia today for lunch. The interim manager told me the kitchen was closed even as I saw other customers eating or with sandwiches sitting at their tables. He expressed they were short staff so I assumed that most of the staff must have left and so I ordered a coffee. However as I was sitting at the table studying another customer came to the counter and tried to order a sandwich. The manager proceeded to make a sandwich for that customer. I am disappointed in this type of treatment and I hope that in the future this won't happen. read more

I live nearby and would love to see this convenient place do well. But I have my doubts. I stopped in a lunch a few days ago. At high noon there were three customers in the place until I left at 1 PM. And one of those was an apparent friend of a staff member. The person at the counter was slumped over the counter when I entered. And she didn't stand up when she took my order. I got the sandwich and soup and a coffee. Over 12 dollars. The tiniest grilled cheese sandwich i've ever seen and a bowl of tasty but barely warm soup. A decent cup of coffee. I had hoped to eat lunch and get some work done. Internet not working I was told.
