Cutest little gem in the Smyrna Market area! We have made it a tradition to either order 3rd Party Delivery or pickup almost every weekend! They have the best little breakfast sandwiches. We always enjoy the sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant (so yummy!) I also really enjoy their hot Chai Tea Lattes! (They are one of the few places that make them right) Went out this morning and decided to eat outside - met the owner for the first time and he was super nice! Ok so I've got a real serious bone to pick here. Let me start by saying this place has some seriously good sweet potato pancakes. Every time I tell people how good they are everyone always tells me they don't like sweet potato. I want all of you to collectively shut up and try these because they're really really good. The staff is made up of very nice 14 year old girls that try their hardest to make lattes. Unfortunately I don't think anyone who comes here has a frame of reference for what a proper latte looks/tastes like because I've had like 6 here and they definitely ain't it. I only complain because their yelp states best coffee in Atlanta which is deeply upsetting to me. For one, this ain't Atlanta, and for two Rev is right down the street and employs literal latte gods; But this place is the best coffee in Atlanta? Yeah ok. This is one of those best kept secrets, type of place. I want to keep it to myself and never let this place go...but because I love this place, I want to share it to the world for them to enjoy. If you haven't read, this place offers coffee, wine and beer. They also offer breakfast sandwiches, regular sandwiches, ice cream and baked goods. The cafe is warm and welcoming, and always has a place to sit. The barista is so sweet. We had a little hiccup with fixing the Yelp check in code, but if you don't have Yelp downloaded on your phone, if you log in with 5 stars, you get the same percentage off your first order. The few times I've been here the barista has been very patient and she was just enjoyable to talk too. At first, I just thought it was a regular, good, cafe...but I was very charmed by the owner's father. Whenever we finished ordering and setting up to study, the father came by to deliver the food. He was precious. He offered to give us napkins and he said hi to everyone. But he was the most charming ever. I had to hold my heart, he was so cute. They really want to make sure that you are taken care of here. I've been here twice, but I've been studying both times. I felt like this is perfect. They play the "basic girl music", but I have no issues with it. You have the random Disney songs playing, you have the John Mayer and other songs that makes your 90's heart burst (or at least early 2000's). I did not need my headphones. It doesn't get too loud here. I didn't need to charge any of my technology, but I don't remember seeing many places to plug in my charger. So I'll keep an eye out for it next time. I really hope this place doesn't lose it's charm. It is just too adorable. I really love coming here, and it almost feels like home. Second time coming here, a year later. Second bad review. The venue was absolutely disgusting. Garbage and stickiness all over the floor. The employees act like angsty teenagers. The kitchen area looks like it would absolutely fail a heath code visit. All five of our hot chocolates came out barely lukewarm, and did not taste great. I would have had them remake them all, but it took so long just to get these, even though there was no one else in line, that I didn't want to wait again. Very overpriced too. The coffee is pretty average overall. The Black Forest Chiller I had was good but lacked any cherry flavor. There's also a really good selection of ice cream. It is really near uncanny how great the coffee is and how awesome the mood and candor of their team really is every single time. Hats off to the owners of cafe Lucia for hiring great baristas like Rachel, Rhianna, and Ailijah (Elijah?). Every single time I come they are super attentive to the order, exactly what you need, ready to help with any medical allergies and a few times we had kids with us and they were even super awesome with the kids. They also have wine, popular food, a great ambience for work or if you want to unwind. Ive been here several times and i've always had a pleasant experience. You sign up to be a VIP you can also get additional coupons. If you check in on Yelp you potential receive additional discounts on your purchase. Just make sure you check in before you have made a purchase! I made that mistake and had to hold on to the discount for my next visit. The location is excellent because its in a plaza with some shopping and other eateries. Its perfect place because they also have outside seating when its warm. The inside is large and roomy enough for lots of different people coming and going. They have wifi access (it will drop off at times no biggie though) and plenty of tables with close outlets that allow you to work or study for as long as you desire. There are TV's but I usually don't watch them. There are couches if you want to prop up and stay for awhile too. The food is bomb and fresh. I really liked the Turkey BLT and I had it served on a croissant and I couldn't even eat the whole thing. The coffee is awesome and I usually finish the whole cup and I never finish my coffee like that. The customer service is always on point and the staff are quick. I also like that they will bring your order to you (as long as they aren't too busy). Its those small things that make an experience even better.
