I've passed this place soooo many times and finally had a chance to check it out. Located at the Smyrna Market Village so there was no issue with parking ANDDDD parking is free soooo how awesome is that?????!!!! It was the middle of the afternoon so it wasn't super busy and there is plenty of seating available to just hang out. Super cute place with lots of artwork on the wall and as soon as you walk in there are several chalkboards with the daily menu. There's everything from ham and Gouda sandwiches to pastries (which looked delicious) to coffee and smoothies. I'd been craving a smoothie so I ordered a strawberry and mango smoothie and I must say it was amazing. The young lady who took my order was friendly too. The only thing that I did not care for was that apparently someone burnt some food in the kitchen so the smell literally filled the entire cafe and when I left I smelled like burnt food. Cafe Lucia easily became my favorite coffee shop this year. I've been here so many times they know my name! It can get pretty busy on weekend mornings so I visit mostly during the week. They have quite a few tables inside and outside and even books and chalk to entertain the little ones. There is wifi and I have " worked from home" here once or twice. They have great coffee both hot and iced. The breakfast bowl is so good and its a bit of a healthier choice. The breakfast sandwiches are always delicious as well. They also have a point system which grants you get percentages off and even a free pastry after so many points. I'll always love cafe lucia!! read more

Really disappointing food, not so clean interior, not so friendly service. Came here for the first time a few weeks ago to have breakfast with my family. After ordering and sliding into a worn booth with splats on the walls, I was really hoping for the food to be great. Meh service and dirty tables means great food right? Wrong. The portions were small, the food was unseasoned, and for what it was (breakfast scramble and breakfast sandwich) it was pricey. However, the cinnamon rolls were pretty good, and the cold brew coffee was smooth and delicious. I decided I'd skip the food but return someday for the coffee... ...and today was that day. I made a special trip for this coffee because I'm nursing and it has been the only coffee that didn't give my baby reflux. I was so excited to be able to have coffee again...ordered took a sip...terrible. It was so bold and bitter it almost burned on my tongue; I had to let the ice melt for it to even be drinkable and I'm scared to finish it because of the acidity. I was In the area getting a massage and wanted to try a new restaurant. This spot had decent reviews and the front desk staff at the spa said it was pretty good. Upon walking in with another patron the staff finished up what they were working on and eventually greeted us. A sign up front was promoting a lavender latte and green tea latte. After consulting with the staff, I opted to try the green tea latte with the turkey pesto sandwich and a bag of chips. My total was around $12.50.the cost seems pretty comparable with large chains such as Panera bread. I grabbed the chips of my choice and took a seat outside. There are a few tables and chairs out front, and a decent amount of tables inside. There are several pictures on display of what appear to be the works if local artist. The inside was clean. There was light music playing , a typical cafe vibe. I think it makes for a great spot to work or study. It was a little chilly outside so I decided to go back inside to enjoy my meal. When I walked in the staff advised that my drink was ready. It took less than 5 min to make. Shortly after the female staff came out with my sandwich. The green tea latte met my standards. I had it made with coconut milk. They have a variety of non- dairy products, to include almond, soy and coconut milk The sandwich was the shinning star! The ciabatta bread was perfect and the combo of turkey lunch meat, sun dried tomatoes, goat cheese and honey mustard mayo was gratifying. I enjoyed every bite and even took the final piece of bread and swiped the plate to make sure I got every bit of the sandwich. Seriously, I ordered a second one to go-----and ate it in the car!--- please don't judge me. I think you guys already know that they have a new customer in me. Although it would require me to drive further to get here instead of Panera, the turkey pesto sandwich is worth the extra effort. I ordered sweet potato pancakes! It did not disappoint and the portion was huge. I particularly love the butter that came with it. It looks and tastes like homemade and I swear it went well with the pancakes. The reason why I wasn't giving it a 5 star is because the server and cashier weren't wearing any mask. I wanted to ask them to wear their mask because that's what their sign says at the door but I just chose to keep my mouth shut to avoid any possible arguments. I will not be going back to this place until the covid phase is done. I value my safety more than my experience with their product. If being served with people who don't wear mask doesn't bother you.. then I highly recommend this place but if you're like me who is a little concerned, then avoid this place until the covid is over. read more

Yummy latte options! We stopped by on a Saturday when we were exploring Smyrna and got some coffee here. The drinks themselves were good and the ambiance was nice. About 6-7 tables throughout so you can do some work while grabbing a bite to eat. The reason for the 1 star deduction is that none of the staff are wearing gloves and when they put the lid on your coffee, they press down on top with their whole hand. It's really unsanitary especially since they're also touching the hole where you drink out of. I asked for new lids and they were happy to provide, but I wanted to make note of this. Stumbled upon this cafe on a weekday and it was not busy at all. But it took almost an hour for my food to come out. Sweet potato pancakes were not cooked well and eggs just did not taste good. Came here with some friends. None of us have been here before. Love the ambience. It's sort of reminds me of a mix between a more laid-back Starbucks and Milk and Honey in Chattanooga. I always love a good chalkboard menu., Ample seating on the inside and the outside of the restaurant. We had eggs, turkey sausage, an egg croissant sandwich, French toast, and the sweet potato pancakes. I tried the iced peach tea, which was really good. Not too sweet but great flavor. All the food was delicious. The service was quick and friendly, and there's artwork from local artists all over the walls which is really cool. One of my favorite things about our food experience today, and it was all good, was the fact that they serve the pancakes and French toast with brown sugar butter. Who wouldn't love that? Yum! Not only was the restaurant good, but the area itself is really great. Really easy parking directly in front of the restaurant, not super crowded, which on a Sunday morning is kind of strange. They have a downtown location on Forsyth Street near Georgia State. This location in Smyrna has been open since November 2017 according to the AJC http://atlantarestaurants.blog.ajc.com/2017/09/29/popular-downtown-atlanta-coffee-shop-and-cafe-to-expand-to-smyrna/ I actually had a hard time finding the place. On Google map the location of the coffee shop isn't specific and I ended up walking around a bit before finding the place. If you're coming from Atlanta street the shop is the 6th business on the right....I hope I counted that correctly. The place is rather large but the way the tables and chairs are set up it is actually quite cozy. (Compare to Rev coffee down the street-this place is the better place to meet up for a private conversation or to study) I came in and ordered their black coffee which was good. Mild, bright and not bitter. I also got a Turkey Pesto sandwich which as actually amazing. Stopped here on a whim and it's an instant favorite. I was able to secure a back booth and make myself comfortable. Spent about 5-6 hours studying. Had breakfast, coffee and lunch. Was not disappointed! Clean restroom and comfy couches. Servers are nice and the atmosphere is perfection. My only gripe is the temp was extremely hot thermostat started at 85 with the doors open. A great spot to grab a quick breakfast or lunch. Lots of regulars, the waiting area has toys for kids. You do have to go grab your food when it's ready but it's a small place that runs smoothly so it's not a big issue. Fantastic service. Really enjoyed my breakfast bowl... it was freshly made and warm. It was very filling and I don't like sausage but it was very crispy and I enjoyed that very much. I was visiting a friend in Smyrna and decided to come here to get some work done out of the house. On a Friday, it was almost empty around 8:15 in the morning. However, I stayed for several hours and it picked up quite a bit around lunchtime. I ordered an Iced Vanilla Americano with almond milk (and they do have several alternatives to regular milk) and a build-your-own breakfast sandwich with egg, turkey bacon and Gouda on an English muffin. For just a little over $7 (without tip) this was a MUCH better value than what you would get at a chain coffee shop. They actually hand make it and give you quite a bit of bacon on the sandwich. The coffee was also huge for what you pay. This is an awesome place to work or study - peaceful with plenty of space between tables so no one is bothering you. If I had to say one thing it's that I wish they would turn up the heat (it was a pretty chilly November morning). But then I am always cold so I can't knock them for that. read more

This place is conveniently located close to where I live so I frequent it often. It's nice and bright, they have a lot of food and tons of drink options and outdoor seating. They also have a follow me printer which is helpful! The last time I went was a Saturday morning and they were super busy. I was bummed because the experience wasn't as great as usual but understand they were all working hard to serve so many people. They ran out of iced coffee so I only got about a 1/3 of me medium cup, they forgot my mimosa for quite some time but I was able to remind them and get it quickly. They really were working hard, just a bit overwhelmed I think. The food we all got was pretty good too! I had an egg white omelet with all the veggies they offer, an English muffin, my bf had a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and my friend had a sausage, egg and cheese on a bagel. This is a cute little cafe. I work from home and stopped by here with my little sister since she had the day off for election day. There is ample free street parking around. We sat by the window at the high top table and had a nice view of passersby and daily happenings. Cafe Lucia does have pretty good wi-fi, so if you need to get some work done on your laptop - it's pretty dependable. I was able to get a lot of work done throughout the morning. I guess the local high schoolers like coming to this place as well because an influx of them showed up around lunchtime and sat by the couches on the other end of the cafe. I appreciated the diversity of the patrons that showed up throughout the morning. That's what I love most about local cafe's. You can tell a lot from the customers who show up. They have several comfortable seating areas and the cafe itself is very spacious. They have a pretty good tea selection and the coffee is good too. They have your typical breakfast sandwiches, omelets, soups, and salads on the menu. They also have beer and wine options. I was actually pretty impressed with the variety.
