The food is always delicious, and was one of my go-to spots when I want to introduce friends to something a little different. I especially loved dining on the patio when I bring my dog along. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors. What kept me coming back, though, is the staff. They are incredibly kind and always make me feel welcome. It's such a nice feeling to be greeted warmly and recognized as a returning guest. I've even celebrated my birthday here, which says a lot about how much I enjoy this place. Our waiter arrived shortly and took our drink orders and left us menus. He returned with my coffee and our waters. We placed our order for breakfast. I ordered a biscuit with sausage gravy, two over easy eggs and two crisp strips of bacon. The wife ordered two pancakes. Our food arrived in a reasonable time, served piping hot. BTW my coffee was very good! A couple things I've learned down here in The Valley: they don't really do biscuits and gravy very well and they don't know how to make GOOD hash browns. Their biscuits aren't fluffy like back home to begin with and then many times they slice them into thirds so you get these thin little slices. Just not my favorite. The sausage gravy was OK. Nothing special. They did cook my OE eggs and crisp bacon perfectly, so on balance it was good. As an added bonus, on Monday and Tuesday if your breakfast is $10 or more, the coffee is free. So I got free coffee. Coleen's pancakes were nothing special in fact, I took a bite and while the flavor was good, they were a little on the tough/chewy side. We'll definitely come back and try some other menu items. The price was totally reasonable - $18 including tax.
