Egg sando
Andreya P.

Stopped by Café Momoka and tried the banana matcha along with the egg sando. Both were really good! The egg sando was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. The banana matcha was good as well. I've had better banana matchas at a few other spots, but this one falls somewhere in the middle. It wasn't overly sweet, and the banana flavor paired nicely with the matcha. Since they're a brand-new café, I know they're still getting into their rhythm, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they continue to grow. They have a great selection of matcha drinks, and I'll definitely be back to try more of their different flavors.

Date of Visit: 6/14/26 Time of Visit: 9:00am My wife and I saw on social media that our city is getting a new matcha place . We were pleased to find out that this place is just a 10 minute walk from our home! The interior was bright and modern with a nicely designed front counter area that features a wooden faux patio overhang. The drink that I ordered for myself was the Cinnamon Maple Oat Cold Brew. The drink was tasty and I enjoyed the cinnamon and maple flavor. The drink that my wife ordered was the Double Matcha Latte. She sipped it first and said it's not as flavorful as she expected. I also took a sip and confirmed her concerns. The flavor of matcha was very weak considering it's supposed to be "double". It barely tasted like it had a single scoop of matcha. The milk was overpowering the matcha and the end result was very weak drink. While I understand this is a new place, their Double Matcha needs serious improvement before we will order it again.

Nice Minimalist design, but I'm sure they'll add more decor later

Upon coming back here again, I finally got to try the egg sando and strawberry sando. Plus the popcorn cold brew and popcorn matcha. I noticed they finally figured out a system to have the fresh sandos available at all hours. They drop them every hour at specific times like 7 am, 10 am, 11:30am, etc. So that's good! Surprisingly, the strawberry sando was good. The cream in it was actually lightly sweet and complimented the strawberry just fine. We Asians love not too sweet! Lol. The bread has a little sweetness too. I think it's the same bread they used for the egg sando. It is good...but not as good as obviously Japan's classic egg sandwiches from like 7-11 or Lawson's. I guess those are hard to emulate. I just wish they used a different bread since it did kind of taste sweet to me. The popcorn matcha was ok initially at first sip. I could not taste the popcorn flavoring in the matcha portion. But the foam definitely had it, and when mixed, it tasted great together. If only they had vegan foam/cream since I had almond milk with mine, because the cream on top is still dairy. I preferred the popcorn cold brew! That tasted really good. And I liked the cherry blossom matcha previously. I need to try the other drinks! There is a bit of a stinky smell when you walk in. Someone said it's maybe because of the eggs. But it smelled like a sewage issue? It's also really expensive for the drinks and sandos. 2 sandos and 2 drinks were basically $40. Overall, I will still frequent this place! It's cute. It's good for a quick bite/snack if you can get sandos. The drinks are fine too. There was somewhat of a line on the weekend, when the sandos dropped at 10 am during Father's Day. But we only waited a few mins for our drinks, so they've definitely improved!

Great location near me. The egg sandwiches were awesome but I felt it was a little overpriced at $12 but it tasted great so 5 stars for that. Drinks were pretty good too. I got the coconut matcha and my wife got the popcorn matcha. Both were really good and we'll be back since it's a few mins away from our house. It's in a great plaza with lots of parking and customer service was friendly. The inside was clean and tidy and well redesigned. I remember the sushi place that use to be here and this was a great replacement.

ORDER banana matcha 50% sweet (2/5) cherry blossom matcha (3/5) double matcha (3/5) popcorn matcha 50% sweet (2.5/5) the cashier said the matchas with the cream top tend to be on the sweeter side so i got 50% sweet for my banana matcha. sweetness can only be adjusted in 50% increments (0%, 50%, or 100%). i am usually a huge fan of banana matchas wherever i go, but this one was by far my least favorite. i didn't like the matcha or the foam. i am not sure how to describe the matcha, maybe umami?my group and i agreed that this was the worst one out of all the drinks we tried. our favorite was the cherry blossom matcha. SERVICE the cashier was nice and patient despite the long line. we waited 25 minutes for our drink on a friday afternoon. AMBIANCE when you walk in, you get a big whiff of a very strong smell... i think it's from making the egg sandwiches. there are plenty of seats inside. cute interior! plenty of parking as well.

Matcha quality is not too bad. The cherry cold foam doesn't taste like cherry. It just tastes like cold foam. I will be back to try a couple other matcha variations like banana, double matcha, popcorn, and their cloud drinks.

Visited Momoka Cafe during their soft opening, and although it was busy, I had a great experience. The cafe has a clean, minimalist aesthetic that feels both modern and welcoming. I ordered the Popcorn Matcha, and it was surprisingly delicious! The flavor sounded a little unusual at first, but the popcorn and matcha paired really well together and created a unique drink that stood out from the usual matcha offerings. There is plenty of indoor seating, including tables and stools with outlets, making it a great place to study, work, or simply relax with a drink. It was a little challenging to find a seat because of the soft opening crowd, but it was nice to see so many people supporting a new local business. They also offer a variety of desserts and pastries that looked amazing, although I didn't get a chance to try any during this visit. I'll definitely be back to sample more of the menu. Overall, Momoka Cafe is a wonderful addition to the area with unique drinks, a beautiful atmosphere, and a study-friendly environment. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

I'm writing this review in the coffee shop at the moment, and I hardly do that! I usually like to wait to add my review, but because they're having a soft opening, I want to give my two cents on this moment and again once they have their grand opening. Located on Archibald in Ontario, momoka has been giving their soft opening hours starting on June 6th and with adjusting hours June 8th. Their hours are from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM, which is a two hour difference than their soft opening. Upon coming inside, there is a very modern Japanese aesthetic. It has white wooden structures built around it and cute accent cushions. Offering strawberry sandos and egg sandos for $12, they also have baked goods in a little display case. On their drink menu, there are over 15 drinks available. You can add an extra dollar to face a cream top. Today, I opted for their maple cinnamon oat cold brew with a cream top ($7 total). I also picked up their egg sandos. My drink was quite sweet and tasted exactly like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. Which is phenomenal. Yet, I'm wondering about the caffeine and coffee level, because I can't quite taste the coffee being masked by everything else. I don't mind it on sweet days, but will mind this when I'm looking for coffee notes. There are two workers and the store owner. They are currently hiring and I overheard their interviews. It's quite new and in the works, so they are working everything out. I believe this place has potential and is such a cute addition to the Ontario area. I look forward to coming back once everything is solidified.

I have stopped here a handful of times and can confidently say it's a solid spot. Drinks come out fairly quickly after ordering, the pricing is on par with other spots in the area, and their menu is the standard. However, it is pricey - i got 2 matchas and 2 sandos which came out to $40! $12 for that sando is not worth it and the bread isn't as fluffy or soft as true milk bread. Overall, i do like their drinks and will come back for those. The service is fine - it's fast but that's really it. The inside is cozy and cute.

I tried this place the other week and I'll honestly say it's ok. If I can I'd give it 3.5 stars but I'll give it 4 stars because the customer service was good. I got the mango matcha and it was good but nothing amazing and it tastes similar to other matcha places that's on the matcha trend. It's a nice little spot and kinda random but their symbol reminds me of Molly Tea's logo/symbol. If you're in the area, it'll do the job.

Stumbled upon this place while working on a car in the parking lot and realized it was a soft opening taking place. We waited a little bit but to be honest it was well worth it. They have a military discount. I love the baked items & the matcha is halfway decent. If you're local, support your new local gem.

Hands down, BEST almond croissant ever!! 20 outta 10 for me and i really regret not getting more, but i guess that means i need to wait for grand opening. I got their cherry blossom matcha latte, the peach mango earl gray tea with foam, almond croissant, and a cranberry scone. For me personally, it was worth the drive to try because the matcha had a smooth taste. It wasnt too sweet or too earthy for me.

i went to the soft opening of this new cafe! the interior was japanese style and they have both matcha and coffee. they also have fruit and egg sandos. they had many unique flavors for their matcha what i ordered: - double matcha - popcorn matcha the double matcha was just okay, not my fav because the matcha flavor wasn't that strong and it was a bit too sweet. the popcorn matcha definitely reminded me of torotea's popcorn milk tea which i liked!

First time visiting this spot. It's like a Ten Ren and similar food, drinks and quality. I ordered…read morea jasmine milk tea and it was delicious. I also got fish cutlet curry with rice and a cabbage salad. The fish was wonderfully seasoned and crispy, loved the rice and curry sauce but the cabbage salad was a little bitter (I ate it anyway). I also ordered the popcorn chicken and asked the spice level to mild and it wasn't salty. Very affordable, the rice dish was $14, popcorn chicken was $8 and the drink was $6. Bill was $28. They packaged the order in a nice foil bag to keep the entre warm. The place was cute and cozy. Lots of seating and clean. Located in a busy shopping center next to Ralphs, a bank, Pho Island, Juan Pollo, Little Caesars and other restaurants.

I…read morehave a slight prejudice to boba places outside of the SGV area so take what I have to say with a grain of salt and that this is my personal taste. Chat Tea from the pictures and self serve system made it feel like it was a boba place from SGV. The kiosk to order has both English and Chinese and the drinks and food all look familiar. I was thinking how nice this place was. A little rough around the edges here and there, but it's spacious with many tables, seating, and a little bar area. It has decent air conditioning (AC is a must with the weather quickly heating up), and feels clean enough. The vibes overall are alright but I think a little more can be done to the interior to make it feel more cozy, modern, or esthetically pleasing. The servers are very friendly and nice. One girl had a lot of energy, very positive, had the attitude of trying her best to answer any questions, and making your experience nice. Basically a 10/10 for customer service within reason and normalcy. Other workers were alright. I don't really focus too much on customer service for boba joints. The prices are within the standard price range. Nothing seemed off in pricing when scrolling through the menu. For people new to boba tea places, I think it's fair to say that they're now around the same price as going to Starbucks, though some places still have lower prices. The drink was alright. They had 3 tea options (black, green, and oolong iirc) and a good selection of flavors and toppings but it felt a little lackluster. It wasn't bad but it didn't have a distinct flavor or trait that makes it special. Kinda like instead of generic soda, it was generic boba tea drink at the super market kind of feel. The issue could be the drink i chose (grapefruit GT less sugar) but I'm usually used to a stronger and more distinct fruit flavor with this order. The fried tofu was fried pretty well. It's a very thin breading type of deep fry but was very crispy. But it wasn't the standard fried tofu snack I expected. Usually places either have a flavorful breaded fried tofu or they use dry seasoning(generally something a little spicy) after frying. Instead this was basically tofu + a soy sauce based shopping sauce from what I tasted. I was expecting more of a sweet and sour or spicy sauce. Overall felt kinda bland and the sauce was forgettable. I want to again say that the drink and tofu are not necessarily bad, but they weren't in my realm of expectation or my taste. If I still worked in the area, I would maybe give this place another 2 to 3 tries to see if it would be a study/work spot. If you like the drinks, this would definitely be a nice place to work or study at.

Their menu was fairly straightforward and, truthfully, everything sounded good. Apparently they're known for their matcha drinks as I saw mostly everyone ordering one. However, I had my heart set on a coffee. The staff I interacted with when ordering left a lot to be desired. Very cold demeanor, especially after I ordered a coffee and asked about the popularity with their matcha drinks since I noticed everyone ordering one. She literally rolled her eyes with a sigh and was like, "well...that's what we're known for" then scurried away without any interaction or thank you to any friendly gesture upon me paying. I also ordered a scone, which she brought over to me and, again, when I said thank you, she just walked away. No smile. Nothing. Exact same interaction when giving me my drink at the pickup area. Super rude. My order consisted of a Cafe Latte and Biscoff Scone. Both were really good, despite the awful service experience. The latte was rich and the brew was tasty. The scone was the showstopper for me though. I don't normally like scones, but this had to be one of the best ones I've ever had. The biscoff flavor was prominent throughout and the texture was not hard and dry. It truly was perfection. Because of the poor service experience, I can't say that I'd return. However, if you do decide to give them a try, make sure to add a scone to your order.
