Portions were large. Got the Alaska and the Super Belgium. The Alaska left alot to be desired, salmon was weird and heavy on the cream cheese, lacked flavor and depth however the super Belgium was amazing. Brunch is obviously a very busy time to go but the staff did their best. If you want a quiet place to it, this is not it. Very loud and chaotic with all the people. Still enjoyable and clean! I liked the vibe!

So overrated honestly. We went here for breakfast on a Thursday and I was excited to try this place because people tell me great things about it. Was not impressed with the French toast at all. We got a savory crepe and it was just fine. Everything was bland. Good coffee though. Service was not attentive for refills and the price was a big steep for what it really is.

Bristol & Barcelona French Toast

the bristol crepe and barcelona french toast combo is divine, gluttonous, and a most order combo. the avocado and cheese in the crepe make for a crazy good texture and the cheese and berry compote in the barcelona french toast make for an excellent savory sweet combo. great brunch spot

My vegan husband loved it. Im curious to see how busy it is on a weekend but we went after dropping the kids off at school and it was perfect. No wait. Our server was great. This is a small thing that felt out of place but not necessarily bad: the mugs were just regular mugs like you have at home. Im looking forward to a spanikopita crepe next time.

Stopped by for a late weekend lunch -- they were really busy, even around 1:30 or 2, but fortunately our group of 5 only had to wait around 15 minutes to get seated. The place is pretty spacious with a decent amount of seating, but is apparently quite popular so I hear there's always a queue at peak times. Everything we ordered was so delicious. The french toast was fluffy and sweet without being too heavy. The crepes we got (Bristol, super belgium, Ottawa egg platter) were both super yummy. Turkey meat in the Bristol crepe was juicy and so flavourful, and the brie in the Ottawa one was just such a wonderful complement to the eggy omelette. All the fruits (blueberries, strawberries, bananas), either on the crepes or in the side order, were so fresh. Service was a bit slow (understandable due to how busy it was) but otherwise friendly and helpful. Price point was great for everything we ordered. I'd love to come back in the future :)

Dubai Chocolate Crepe

Came here on a Saturday for lunch around noon. For a table for two, we waited about 30 minutes. You have to be present in the restaurant so they can call your name when the table is ready even though it is very cramped around the door. We ordered some crepes and they were delicious! So flavorful and savory with large portions. The Dubai chocolate was very exciting, pistachio on the inside with chocolate on the outside. The service was a bit disappointing, our server never came around besides to take our order and give the bill. Other than that, we had to track down employees to fill up our water. There is street parking near the restaurant and a paid parking lot in the back.

Service was really quick even with how busy they were. Food came out fast and service was very flexible with us given the size of our party. Ambiance was a bit loud inside but it makes sense for how crowded it was. Food felt fresh and was worth the wait

After waiting for about an hour we were able to sit and eat. We had our toddler with us and they were b Very accommodating! The space is small and was a little hard to walk between tables especially with how busy there were. The inside is cute and the decor is fun. Bathroom do having changing table. We ordered the yogurt parfait, avocado toast, and the chicken shawarma.

Everything about this place was very good! The inside was lovely decorated, with nice outside lighting. The service was speedy and everyone was really nice. The food was yummy! I've never had a crepe quite like this. My white mocha was also very tasty.

Very nice spot for breakfast or brunch. Everything seems to be super fresh and the food is just classy in a way. Good mix of sweet and savory options. I got to try their Barcelona French toast. This is one example of their great balance between sweet and savory. It has the sweetness from the berries and sweet preserve like sauce, but savory flavor from the cheese. To me, it seemed like it skewed toward having too much cheese. The interior cheese tasted a lot like butter, very fatty and soft. I'm not the biggest fan of butter so it wasn't my favorite, but it was obviously well made and the portion was pretty decent. All in all, I do recommend this spot, as the menu is quite diverse and the food is obviously high quality.

Brunch Review! Overall (Solid 4/5): Cafe Moulin is known for their Crepes and it shows. The Crepe quality is definitely pretty good even compared to the ones in NYC, however, the filling and the flavors inside have some work. The inside really feels like a mix of a cafe and a diner, it is quaint and not bad for a quick bite to eat. It gets busy but not too bad as they have a decent amount of seats inside. If you need a quick bite or craving crepes, they have a wide array of sweet and savory! Food (4/5): I highly recommend the Sofia over the Bristol. It was balanced and you can taste a wide array of flavors! Definitely a solid savory crepe. Bristol was okay, if you LOVE turkey then it's great but it felt like it was missing something. Service (3.5/5): It isn't a restaurant, so I'm not rating it too harshly. They operate similarly to a diner. They were fast and courteous. It was not bad.

Walnut St Crepe

If you have a sweet tooth and don't mind the calories, then Cafe Moulin's sweet crepes are for you! I could get any crepe flavor made with the vegan batter. Not as big of a fan of the Tivoli Savory Crepe. Perhaps because the vegan crepe isn't covered with toppings like in the sweet crepe which kind of masks the vegan crepe flavor/texture. As shown, I've come multiple times and satisfied that sweet tooth. I think my favorite was the Super Belgium because of that cookie spread! Impressed by the service as they're always prompt! Lovely inside and ambiance. Also it's located in a prime area in Shadyside, so you can have a brunch there while you browse and shop around Walnut St.

Ambiance: (5/5) great seating and it is spacious. Price: (4/5) prices are average for the area. Food: (4/5) I got avocado toast with lox on the side and it was really good. It had a good sauce. The egg was overcooked unfortunately, but it was still good. I tried the cheesecake crepe and it is exactly what it sounds like (very sweet). I enjoyed the two bites I had from someone else's plate. Coffee was also good. It wasn't too sweet. Service: (4/5) good service but I wish they came around once to ask how everything was. We wanted to get more water and also order more but ended up not wanting to wait.

Not sure why this place got such good reviews. Food was mediocre at best; tiny pizza lace with no room for people to wait.

Are espresso drinks coming back for delivery/take out?

What are the calories of the savory crepes?

Don't know

Do they have parking?

There's a lot of parking on all of the side streets off of walnut! There's also a parking garage nearby that's easy to access, but they don't have a specific lot!

Upon entering the restaurant, there are crystal chandeliers, bright colors, French posters, and a lively atmosphere. The restaurant had a lot of potential until we experienced the service and cuisine. I brought my Supper Club here, and we had a group of 8 of us. There was also a very large group at the restaurant. We were neglected on several occasions, and it took us 2 HOURS just to get our food order. That's not an exaggeration. Our waitress was rather snippy with us, and ended up apologizing at the end but it did make for an unpleasant experience. When we finally received our bread, we were so hungry that we scarfed it down despite it being not so great sour dough bread. Every dish was flavorless and left us wanting more. I had to send back the steak on two occasions: once for being undercooked and once for being overcooked. I ended up getting my meal for free. The Coquilles St. Jacques had the smallest scallops without the lovely scallop shell its usually served in. The shrimp cocktail tasted like anything you could get at the grocery store. The Nicoise Salad was just sad and flavorless. The porkchop and escargot had the most flavor. I will definitely not be back to this establishment. Our group did enjoy each other's company, and it created a very memorable experience even though it was an overall bad experience!

I was last at Point Brugge in April 2022, when the grub and warm welcome were well-worth the price. I'm not sure what has happened since then, but if my most recent experience is anything to go by, SERIOUS changes have to be undertaken at this once gem of Point Breeze for it to justify the equally serious price increases that have gone by since then. The food: BLAND and prepared without care for the customer. To start off, my companion and I both got the "soup du jour." It was tomato and onion cream. Completely mediocre and far too sweet. I could've bought a prepared soup at Trader Joe's of the same quality. For our mains, I got a $36 (!) salmon with fried veggies and lentils. The fish was OK (it's hard to wreck good salmon), but the veggies were positively DRIPPING in oil and the lentils were salted to all hell. I could not finish the latter. My companion ordered a $16 vegetable sandwich and specifically requested no red onions. Guess what? The sandwich and its side salad were chock-full of red onion slices. So much for customer service. The restaurant: GROSS. The remnants of mussels and other food items were LITTERED all over the floor of the "top" area of the restaurant. The walls are full of cracks; the paint is peeling; and where the drywall meets the floorboard, AVERT your gaze! Giant, gaping holes pepper the entire lower part of the wall, as if positively begging for a rodent infestation. How is this up to code? The service: UNFRIENDLY. I think we were served by the manager. He had sort of a strange attitude and cadence, and only asked us anything about the food BEFORE we had started eating the soups. Consider asking us after we've finished something? I think he was mad that I had only ordered a water. Sorry! Alcohol is bad for you, and I for one wasn't going to slurp down a sugary "mocktail" next to all those oily mushrooms. Next stop? UPMC Presby. Apart from him, the staff was underdressed and loud (although, for what it's worth, a bit friendlier). However, I prefer to know if I'm interacting with a paid employee or a freight train driver who has just gotten off a 16-hour-shift driving on the CSX mailine. I get it: nobody is expecting you to wear a tuxedo in 2026. But let's at least try to outdress the most casual of customers, no? Considering Point Brugge was once a place I took people from out-of-town to show off the East End, this is a sad, sad fall from grace. I will NOT be going back, and, as long as they don't get their act together, neither should you. Not in this economy. $36 oily azz mushrooms...

Fantastic vibe in there as well, cool lighting (although something from up above kept falling). It's a highly acclaimed place for a reason. I got to try their beet soup (borscht), tea, potato pancake, and rice pudding dessert. The menu changes decently consistently I believe, and I did visit a little while ago, for notice. The food was very tasty. Huge potato pancake that was cooked perfectly with a nice topping of what I can only describe as vegan sour cream and some sort of very flavorful vegetables. I quite liked it, surprisingly tasty and creamy topping. Now the borscht, which I tend to be picky with, was just okay. The number one detractor for the borscht was the salt level. The food is just far, far too salty (the pancake was pretty salty too). Other than that, quite good. Love the side of rye. The dessert was very good. Surprisingly light. Came with a little caramelized baked fruit on top (apple/pear, something like that). Rice was reasonably creamy and very flavorful. So good! All in all, a nice spot for a nice dinner. Especially great for vegans. However, the food did taste too salty for my liking.
