They also serve wine, cocktails, beer and coffee drinks. My friend and I recently enjoyed a wonderful lunch on their heated outdoor patio overlooking the lake. The view was lovely. There is also a popular fire pit on the patio. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito and I ordered the Murrayhill Benedict. Both meals were declared excellent. We each enjoyed one of their CMH bloody marys. These were very tasty. If you happen to be vegetarian, be sure to tell them not to add the bacon garnish. We received great service from everyone, including the hostess who dried our rainy table for us and our pleasant server. Cafe Murrayhill is locally owned and offers items from local farms and vineyards. They are open every day from 8am-8pm. There is ample parking and bus 62 stops nearby. I was told at 11:25 that it would be a 20-25 minute wait, so I signed up for the waitlist. At 12:08 I went to ask how much longer it would be because the app was telling me there were still 5 people ahead of me and it would be 30-40 minutes. The hostess said it would be at least another 30 minutes because people were still eating and there were others in line in front of me. Had she been honest at the beginning, we would not have wasted 30 minutes sitting there waiting for a table. (And she should have known then that all the tables had just been seated). In short, if you're told a reasonable wait time, don't believe them because they're just trying to keep you from going to the murrayhill taphouse. I live far away but one day I hope they make a few new locations in the area they are worth the drive and I've never been disappointed. Also the staff is like awesome. And it's always been clean. My fiancee and I met a high school friend here for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. The servers were incredible attentive and were very prompt on filling water or asking how everything tasted. We both had the Chicken Fried Steak, which is a staple for any breakfast cafe. Instead of hashbrowns they has a rustic-style potato side which was seasoned amazingly and struck that perfect balance between fried and burnt. The biscuit was light and flaky and the steak was tender with a light coating of batter. My one gripe would've been portioning. My family and I come here fairly regularly. Service and the view are great . Don't know what's happened to the food. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail are Seriously lacking. On our last visit, I had the spinach and grilled salmon salad. It's my favorite and I don't mind spending the $21. The spinach were mostly slimy, the salmon had no seasoning and tasted old, and the pears were either frozen or old. My son got the burger and it was overcooked and they added cheese when he said no cheese. This is typical for the last few times we've been. It's such good spot, but the management isn't paying attention. At the price of eating out, won't be back here anytime soon read more

Delicious food with above and beyond service. Amy was spot on with her recommendations, and was attentive while making our dining experience light and enjoyable. We had the tumeric latte made with in house syrup, as well as fresh brewed hot coffee. The chicken fried steak was very good. Scrambled eggs tasted like egg beaters or powder eggs. They were dense and flat and not at all light or fluffy. I was very excited for the Dungeness crab Benedict, but I was let down a bit. There was barely any crabmeat on it and that little bit was overcooked and dry. The poached eggs were overcooked and the yolks were hard. When you cut into a poached egg on a Benedict, the yolk should run a little. I come here for the atmosphere and the service. Unfortunately, if this restaurant had to stand on its food alone, it just wouldn't make the cut. It's too inconsistent. read more

After dropping in one afternoon for only a latte, the same waiter recognized me when I came back a couple weeks later and asked if I wanted another latte! In particular, it's fun to watch the no-nonsense Amy (she's also on the home page!), who works hard to keep the wheels turning but can be pretty funny when the place isn't busy. I dine there every week or two. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas are very pleasant. Weekends are very busy, but there is always a seat at the counter. Came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast and was overall very pleased with the experience. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a mocha. This is an update to the glowing review I gave over five years ago. We have been taking our daughter there for her birthday almost every year since then. I would still have to agree on almost everything I said five years ago-service, ambience both amazing, but this time I was very disappointed in the food. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Halibut, as it has always been to die for, but this time something was off. It was dry, and the entire plate, halibut, mashed potatoes and asparagus, looked as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour or so. The fish wasn't fishy, but it tasted old. They should not have served it. If that one plate was all they had, they should've said they were out and recommended I order something else. I ate half of it and had them box up the rest, but I didn't bother taking it home. At $31.00 I feel ripped off. So sad. That said, our waitress was wonderful and very attentive. We ate outside and other than a very hungry bee who kept hovering over our food, it was peaceful and beautiful out by the fountain. But because of my disappointing food, I'm going to have to take back a couple stars and just give this place a three. I kind of doubt they will still be in business by my daughter's next birthday, but even if they are, we'll probably go someplace else. I just hosted a 26-person brunch at Cafe Murrayhill. I've also eaten there separately with a small group. I was able to reserve the time and date for the big brunch and I met with their management (Eddie) ahead of time to discuss how things would work. I could have had a limited menu if I wanted (I didn't), brought wine with a corkage fee (I didn't), etc. We had a plan if the weather was nice for outside, but we had to use our back up plan because it was raining. We sat in the main dining room. All of the staff were very helpful. Noel was assigned to our party and she was *excellent*. The food came out very fast. I was amazed. The food variety and quality are quite good. You have to try the bacon waffle (the bits of real bacon are in the batter). Everyone was very pleased with the food and service. The ambience is varied. It's much better than a diner, but not as fancy as a downtown restaurant. They have a counter, booths, table, and seating outside with heaters. They also have a full bar. If I remember right, you can have breakfast till 2pm and I think lunch is served all day...to maybe 6pm? You should check the website for specifics.
