Had breakfast with one of my good friends here yesterday morning and had a very pleasant breakfast. They did not have cold brew, but the waitress helping me made an excellent iced Americano with the perfect amount of ice and cream. Thank you for accomodating! I ordered the three egg breakfast with bacon; and it came with potatoes and toast (I got the English muffin.) For $12 the portion size was very generous; to the point where I had to leave some of my potatoes behind. It was a pretty standard breakfast; they had some vegetarian choices for my friend and his girlfriend, which was a big reason why I picked this place. The service was quick and very friendly; I never had an empty water glass, and didn't feel rushed at all. I will definitely return if I am ever in the neighborhood for breakfast. read more

My friends and I have met for lunch at Cafe Murrayhill for many years. The food is great and the service is exceptional. This is a shout out for Tracey and Amy, our longtime servers. They have helped us choose new menu items to try, share plates among the group, and order food to take home to our husbands for dinner when we have chatted late into the afternoon. I ate here a few weeks ago. I ordered the butter nut squash raviolis. I have ordered it many times but this time it was drenched in butter and the bottom of the bowl was filled with butter. The server who never checked on my meal came by when I was done. I let her know. I had to drain out each Ravioli on the side of the dish. She said I'll let the cook know for next time. No consideration for the meal I just ate. I paid for my meal and left no tip. Food and service were disappointing. I thought to myself, I will consider it for next time. We've been here quite a few times for brunch and typically it's pretty good. However I've notice that the last 3 times we've gone, the quality of food has gone down, while the prices have gone up substantially. Our latest visit was kind of a bummer, they weren't busy and our waitress was very short with us, barely said a word while looking very displease while taking our orders. And I really hate how they watch you pay and tip. We felt obligated to tip 20% when it should have been 10%. I think we'll pass on here for some time.
