Had breakfast with one of my good friends here yesterday morning and had a very pleasant breakfast. They did not have cold brew, but the waitress helping me made an excellent iced Americano with the perfect amount of ice and cream. Thank you for accomodating! I ordered the three egg breakfast with bacon; and it came with potatoes and toast (I got the English muffin.) For $12 the portion size was very generous; to the point where I had to leave some of my potatoes behind. It was a pretty standard breakfast; they had some vegetarian choices for my friend and his girlfriend, which was a big reason why I picked this place. The service was quick and very friendly; I never had an empty water glass, and didn't feel rushed at all. I will definitely return if I am ever in the neighborhood for breakfast. read more

Overall: Everything was great about this place. Really enjoyed my experience. I encourage you to sit outside and enjoy the nice view of the pond! Atmosphere: We sat at their outdoor seating on a day that wast too hot and it was awesome! Beautiful view, very relaxing. What could have made it even better was if they play some nice soft music outside to really create that outdoor experience. Food: I enjoyed the food we ordered. Tried the chicken quesadilla and the panini sandwich and both were great! Both had great fresh flavor! And they filled you up! We've been here quite a few times for brunch and typically it's pretty good. However I've notice that the last 3 times we've gone, the quality of food has gone down, while the prices have gone up substantially. Our latest visit was kind of a bummer, they weren't busy and our waitress was very short with us, barely said a word while looking very displease while taking our orders. And I really hate how they watch you pay and tip. We felt obligated to tip 20% when it should have been 10%. I think we'll pass on here for some time. Both the service and the food were a solid 3 stars, neither good nor bad. Our experience started with a nearly 10-minute wait for anyone to acknowledge we'd walked in the door and approached the hostess stand. The poor lady who was already there when we got there said she'd been waiting at least 2-3 minutes before we even got there. There were a lot of staff members around, but none of them even said "someone will be with you soon." Once we were all acknowledged, all the groups waiting were seated promptly. Our waitress came by quickly and took our order. So far, so good. But then the food came, and while it was presented nicely it was just...meh. I got a Benedict and it was completely unseasoned. But then the potato's on the side were extremely over seasoned! My husband got a scramble and said his dish was great. So that's a plus. Our server never came back to check on us. She waited until we were done, asked if we wanted the check, and then took 10 minutes to bring the check. My biggest issue, though, were the floors. They were sticky. Not sticky like "one kid spilled syrup on the floor" sticky. This was a sticky that can only come from days of not cleaning the floors properly. The entry way was sticky...the area around our table was sticky...and it grossed me out. Ultimately, I'm glad I tried it so at least I know what it's like. But I can't say I'll go back. read more

This place deserves way more love then what it's getting on yelp!. First thing first the place is beautiful, the placement and outside area is what attracts you to this restaurant. It sits right by a pond, ducks are nearby and it wo waterfalls shooting water on both sides of the pond. So the view is worth it, it's very relaxing and I can see myself coming here on a nice sunny day. Me and my date decided to sit outside, I do want to say our waiter kicked ass! She was the only server and I can tell she got swamped and hit with a rush, but it never slowed her down we got everything promptly. I decided to go with the hash and two eggs over easy with the biscuit, along with a pancake of caramelized bananas. The hash was flat out amazing the sausage they use is a German sausage very tinder and juicy and when you add the gravy with everything it just makes my mouth water typing this. Now next was the biscuit, this wasn't like any other biscuit it was freshly made I can tell by the smell and the taste, my advice would be ask for extra jam, the jam and biscuit was on point. Last but not least is the pancake, it was out of this world!. I can't believe I've never had a pancake like this but it was the best food on the menu here, it's a MUST when coming here. All in all amazing food, amazing view, and amazing service what more could you ask for?! Definitely coming back. read more

Amazing ambience for a summer day. It's next to a beautiful lake. There's a fire pit for chilly days. We got a cobb salad and BLT sandwich. The chicken was grilled just right. I am going to go out on a limb and give Cafe Murrayhill a 4.75 for our brunch today. Which in Yelpland means a 5. My crew has been coming here for around a decade I think. My child was teeny tiny when we started bringing her here. Now she is a highschooler. She probably would not appreciate the ducks outside as much anymore but would still happily eat a strawberry covered waffle. If I could get her up that is. The place has always had a lot of things going for it. It has a great location on a pretty if manmade pond, lush green garden-y surroundings, a nice patio space, decent booze and espresso, and an appealing menu. That menu has barely changed in all the time we have been coming here and the service has always been uneven. Today though it was clear that everything is being tweaked a bit for the better. The menu looked a little more interesting, the sweet potatoes that had always plagued us on our brunch plates were absent ( I liked them but my family did not) and the service was excellent. Also, the servers actually were warm and friendly. They genuinely seemed happy to be there. Which made the whole experience so much better. Dining companion had pulled pork hash which was delicious. My bacon and mushroom omelet was yummy and my mocha was really good. Our waters were filled up regularly. Without us asking which is so nice. Love that. Everything was so solid I felt compelled to compliment our server and he went and got the manager who was very friendly and told us they have been working on their team and have a new kitchen manager and chef. Well kudos to them because if today is any indication they are on a good trajectory! So happy with our brunch today. We hadn't been for a few months but we will be back much sooner. I will even drag the teen from bed. She does like her breakfast like all of my family. The only reason I don't give it an unqualified 5 is the music is a bit too loud and I would love to see some specials on the menu. Otherwise...it was dynamite today. Seriously. read more

They have helped us choose new menu items to try, share plates among the group, and order food to take home to our husbands for dinner when we have chatted late into the afternoon.
