I haven't been back for a couple months since they opened. I've seen some changes. They don't have as many plants inside now. There is a projector screen near the counter. They have also added and switched out the art and a Photo Booth, which is nice! The cafe was packed but like the first time I came. Many people inside drinking and lounging. I was in line for while to order and I got an iced matcha with lavender syrup and the bacon and hash egg bites. My total came out to around $13. Since there were so many people in line and ordering with what looked like limited staff, it did take awhile. I got my bites first. They were small and I only got two. I was a little bit surprised? Because it was $5.75. Not worth it. My drink was also wrong, as I got a matcha and they gave me a coffee. I explained to the barista that my order was wrong and he apologized and said they would remake it. It did take awhile but I finally received it. Matcha was good but it did kind of change my opinion on this place. I was not the only one, I saw another customer say it was not what they ordered. It must have been an off day for them.

Came in on a Sunday at 10:30. It is very "industrial" looking but plenty of tables and a seating area at the window. The shoppe was busy. There were three customers ahead of us. Our server was extremely friendly and took the order for the four of us (four drinks and three food items) Mexican mocha (one hot and one cold)-highly recommend. Mazipan (?)-flavorful and the spear-looking for the Dulce delight but it's no longer made so this was a great substitute! Food took a bit but that was expected -they make it fresh!! Food: egg and sausage sandwich-everything great:fresh egg, great bread; definitely a must buy. Crepes-Nutella and strawberries-fresh strawberries balance out the sweetness of the Nutella -yum. The avocado toast-tasted great loaded with avocado, cucumber and tomato-however kinda on the small side and although delicious, not quite sure that it is worth the price. This place is definitely a must go when we are in the area.

Great new up and coming coffee shop in Riverside! I've been here twice and both times I've got the marzapan latte. I enjoy its unique flavor, not too sweet. It is somewhat chunky similar to if you've ever gotten a peanut butter latte before however it's not too noticeable and you can get an extra whisked if it bothers you. I will look forward to coming back to try their specialty coffees and also their pastries since they were mostly out when I visited. They use Monin syrups and have alternative milk options available - See the menu. The ambience is great. Music is not too loud seating available for large group groups and plenty of outlets. However, I think there is room to expand the amount of tables especially given the amount of outlets. This could be a great place to study or work, especially if you live within walking distance and wouldn't have to worry about parking. Located between the Mission Inn and the Riverside convention center in downtown options for parking include street parking or parking in any of the downtown Riverside lots. On Saturdays and Sundays parking is free. On weekdays the first 30 minutes is free and otherwise paid by app. I'd recommend parking in lot 52 on orange and fifth if you don't want to fight for street parking. They do have a restroom located in the back just ask the staff. Hours are 7 AM to 7 PM every day. Wi-Fi available

By farrrrr the best coffee shop in the inland empire. It's great to see a new coffee shop reminiscent of early coffee shop culture, great music, good seating, outlets and WiFi. I visit about 3-5 coffee shops a week and this one is so great. The vibe inside, the flavors, service, and prices are all 10/10. FLAVORS I have tried almost every specialty coffee in their menu, and they're all delicious. In specific I love their mazapán and Mexican mocha. Not too overpowering like some of the more established coffee shops in the IE and not too sweet like many of the boutique coffee shops or home based bars. If you're looking for over the top drinks, this may not be the place, but if you're looking for great basic flavors this is the place. The crepes are a perfect size and very delicious SERVICE Very friendly, electrical outlets, water station in the front. The owner seems to be very welcoming as he's always greeting customers. A lot of times owners stay in the back, but he even has his business cards out in the front. VIBE THIS. This is my favorite part. As someone who works from home, I always look for local coffee shops, but often find the space too loud, uncomfortable seating or the space not very welcoming. Here the music is 10/10, not just mellow basic music but some Spanish classics that I haven't heard in years. The windows make it a vibrant yet calm space. They also have a variety of tables and window seating and couches, which I truly haven't seen in many other shops. And nothing beats being in downtown Riverside. Congrats team this is truly a gem

Located in downtown Riverside, this corner coffee shop offers some delicious selections of coffees and teas. They also had some pretty good breakfast options, which included our selections of Avocado Toast and the Sausage Sandwich. Both were exceptionally tasty and great. The ambiance of the place is well. It feels very spacious and cozy. They have your standard tables to sit in, but they also have a couch and the corners have cozy padding and tables if you want to hang out with a larger group of people. There's also some books for kids and adults to enjoy and all in all, the place just makes you feel relaxed and you can enjoy your coffee or treats. The service is quick and the people running the kitchen and register and very friendly. Definitely recommend Cafe Oro Dos Aztecas.

This place is so amazing! From the service, to the care in making absolutely phenomenal items. I'll be coming back! We went during their soft opening so while they're finding their stride the owner and staff made the experience great. Hope to try the food on my next visit! Loved the photos on the wall of the owner in the mountains of the farms the beans cone from. Beautiful art too.

Amazing service and the coffee is as fresh as it can get . Proof of origin ! Make sure to try it black so you can taste the notes and then go ahead and order some of their flavored lattes . Space is huge and service was fast! Needed great coffee in downtown !

The newest coffee shop in Riverside is officially here, and I'm glad to see Café Oro Dos Aztecas finally find a permanent home. I've seen them host booths around town before, so it's great to see them settle into their own space right across from the Riverside Convention Center. The shop has a clean, modern feel inside with plenty of space to sit and hang out. What stood out to me right away was that the cashier knew finger spelling, which made communication smooth and easy, that meant a lot. I ordered the Mazapán latte, an almond butter inspired coffee, and it was so good. Sweet, smooth, and flavorful without being overwhelming. They do have Copper Goat two stores down, so there's definitely competition nearby, but honestly, I'll be choosing this spot. Great drinks, welcoming service, and well deserved permanent location.

Super good Cafe de Olla. Had it iced. You'll be happy you ordered it. We had the chicken pesto sandwich and egg bites with bacon and hash browns.

I was excited to try this place out due to it being a new coffee shop in downtown Riverside . The coffee shop has a very minimalist feel to it and there were a good amount of people when I arrived . When I was walked in I was greeted right away . I looked over the menu and decided on the iced caffe olla with two pumps of sugar free vanilla . I also got the sausage breakfast sandwich because my boyfriend was raving about it . The drink came out fairly quickly and as far as coffee wise . I felt the coffee tasted okay and it could have been better . It tasted a little watery to me . The breakfast sandwich took a while to come out I want to say about 10 to 15 minutes so if you are in a rush I would avoid this place . But it was worth the wait and is very deletions . But overall the experience was okay . I enjoyed the service and the breakfast sandwich but the coffee could use a bit more work .

I got the spear latte and sausage sandwich and they were delicious! The staff was so friendly, the store was very chill a great place to hang out and relax. I will definitely be back!

I didn't want to enter any cafe very small/ with petite tables or judgement if I sat down for 1.5 hr to work on my computer. I bought a sausage croissant which was just ok, but still a nice quick breakfast item. I was able to sit in a comfy chair with an outlet source & table to conference in my meeting. I was left unbothered & comfortable the whole time, which I greatly appreciated. There are several lounge chairs, tables & areas to space out to work, read, lounge, etc! I would certainly return another day to try out their coffee menu and those earl grey lavender scones (wish I saw those first!!) The barista was kind & the atmosphere very pleasant!

SERVICE here is VERY BAD!…read more The service at Back to the Grind was genuinely one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've had. While I was in the middle of placing my order, an older gentleman wearing glasses abruptly walked away from me mid-conversation to speak with someone he knew. No acknowledgment, no "I'll be right back," nothing. I was left standing there confused and waiting while they casually chatted amongst themselves. At the same time, my husband approached another employee -- a young woman with very long black hair and a pink bandana (see pic)-- simply to ask for the WiFi password. Without even looking at him, she told him he needed to "buy something first." When he explained that I was already ordering, she repeated herself in a dismissive tone and continued making sandwiches without making eye contact once. What stood out most wasn't just the lack of hospitality, but the overall attitude from multiple staff members. The environment felt cold, dismissive, and inconvenienced by customers being there at all. Ironically, the café advertises community classes like yoga and live meditation classes on the window, yet basic customer service and professionalism seem completely absent. The food itself was fine, which is why this review is specifically about the service experience. Even after how poorly we were treated, I still left a tip because I refuse to match that level of disrespect. Management seriously needs to address the customer service culture here. One rude interaction can happen anywhere -- but multiple employees displaying the same behavior reflects a larger issue.

Overall: a cute place and concept( pretty expensive and hot or miss food…read more ---- My number one gripe is that there were no prices on any of their items in their display case for food and desserts. How are people supposed to know how much things cost? If here is enough room to have the name of the product on it, it's not hard to put the number of dollars it costs right there next to it. I hateeeee when coffee shops do this! The coffee was an iced pistachio latte for $8.50, and various food items that we had no idea the totals until charged for the bill, I don't remember the exact number but I was kind of shocked at the total price of everything which I think was high $30s-40s? The interior was super cute with their red chairs and their story concept on the walls. The seats were comfortable and it was pretty crowded in the coffee shop with students and people working on their laptops. The food wasn't that good. For the prices we paid I kind of expected more, especially from that chicken roll item. The chicken was very dry and the flavors were lacking. It tasted like something you can get frozen from the stores that you just microwave or air fry.I enjoyed the cheesecake, but I didn't really like the pistachio milk cake, it tasted Joe they just mixed their milk solution with pistachio pudding powder (based off of the to bright/unnatural green color of it) and didn't flavor it with any real pistachio nuts. I enjoyed the coffee as well however I feel that the prices of everything was expensive especially when we didn't even know the prices of 3/4 of the things we purchased. I understand that we can ask how much each thing cost but how annoying would it be to ask about every single one. It would be very annoying and such a hassle for the cashier too. On the plus side parking is easy bc it shares it in a pretty big plaza. Another upside is that it's close to a ton of good food options in that area as well. ---- Overall: I wouldn't be back, expensive, don't know the price of their food bc none of it is listed out, and the food is hit or miss, interior decor is very cute tho

They have great doughnuts. My wife loves the cheese cake blueberry one. In fact today leah (forgive me if I spelt your name wrong) made one from scratch after I had said my wife loves them. I'm not even a big doughnut person and I can say they are really good. Better than any run of the mill yum yums or krispy kreme. There aren't many mom & pop stores like this in riverside and it's great to see places like this opening and staying in business like this for over 6 years now. I personally love their coffee! My go to is a caramel macchiato. My wife has worked in countless coffee shops & even she thinks it's great. The espresso they use is amazing. The place is really clean and has a very chic atmosphere. I wish i took pictures but it has a really nice outside patio area. And they even serve alcohol. There is to much to say so i'll stop here.
