Tried some Indian chat items and it's very average. Ok taste. There are better places around. Paan is good here, but avoid eating chat items. Tried falooda and it was good . One advantage is they are open late .. not many places around that has pan so late . Overall average experience ..

Royal Paan is my go to spot for various paans, chaats, Indian street food, Indian sandwiches, and faloodas. Their paans are excellent but today I went for their Royal Falooda. I chose the rose falooda and it is layered with beautiful ingredients. On the bottom, it is vermicelli noodles and basil seeds that provide a nice texture to the drink. The pink milk is rose flavored with vanilla ice cream on top. It is topped with tutti fruitti, mixed nuts and coconut flakes. If you have a sweet tooth, I would highly recommend this delicacy.

It was super cold outside so some chai and paneer pakora sounded really good. Walked in and browsed the menu...but then I was caught off guard by the paan maker... he was going at it like a machine, it was crazy! I then saw the kulfi menu and nixed the chai idea. Ordered paneer pakoda, rose paan, jasmin paan, 3 in 1 kulfi, and pista kulfi The paneer pakoda was hot and fresh. Chutney with it made the perfect combo. The rose paan was better than the jasmin, but both were good. The winner is the 3 in 1 kulfi. My favorite is malai so that was stellar, I am not a huge fan of pista but it was really good, and the saffron almond was dynamite!!! Yes it was cold outside and I had kulfi, but it was so worth it. i will come back to try their chaat and get some kulfi and paan again!

My one true love is PAAN. In VA, there aren't any places that specialize in paan, so on my visit to NJ, I was so excited we passed by this place. The place was pretty empty, and it seemed that only people who got food could stay inside. Another review said that if you get paan, then you have to leave immediately afterward. I decided to get the meetha pan, and IT SATISFIED ALL MY CRAVINGS. It's a betel leaf filled with jam, cherries, and dates. I feel that most Southeast Asian countries have some type of variation of this! I feel like if it's your first time trying, I would say go for it. TAKE LIFE BY THE HORNS. I also liked that you could see your paan being made. I think they have a credit card minimum (about $15), so make sure you bring cash with or else you might have to buy more things.

This place is a lot of fun to eat it. It's almost like going to a tapas restaurant where u order different dishes and share. My family shared the Dahi puri which is yogurt and spices inside a puff with Potatoes and onion. It was amazing. We also enjoyed the paneer pakora, which also came with fried veggies, and some mini sandwiches. The tea was delicious also. The paneer quesadilla with minced veggies and sour cream was filling and absolutely delicious. My spouse enjoyed his Paan. You order at the counter and then sit and they bring you your food. I think two teas and four dishes came out to about $30 before tip. We usually spend more at regular restaurants, so I found this place to be a great deal. I will have to save room for ice cream next time. The staff is friendly and the location is great. It's next to other shops and a movie theater and there's plenty of parking in the huge lot outside.

I was passing through Edison on the way to the Parkway exit, and I needed to grab something to eat. I thought that I should stop at an Indian place instead of just Wawa because that is the best cuisine in that part of town. In a more modern and clean strip mall, I found Cafe Royal Paan. It was bright, modern, and cheery, so I went in. As someone who is not terribly familiar with Indian food, I found the restaurant a little hard to navigate. I like trying different ethnic foods, however. I just didn't recognize any of the items on the posted menu and didn't know where to begin. However, this doesn't really seem to be a problem for most of the people who go there, and the place was busy with customers who were enjoying themselves. The guy at the counter was patient with me. I told him that I didn't know what I wanted to order. I asked for meat with rice...something like that. Turns out it was a vegetarian restaurant! I felt embarrassed, but it also was not posted anywhere. He ended up recommending to me the red sandwich. It was pretty basic. I could see why he suggested it because it is very straightforward, but if I am going to an Indian place, I would want something more interesting. I saw other customers eating this saffron rice dish, and that is what I would try next time. Still, the sandwich was spiced really well and got the hunger cravings to go away! They could maybe have some more guidance for customers who don't have familiarity with their specific kind of cuisine, so that they can widen their customer base.

Canadian taste buds review: I randomly fell upon this Indian street food café during my weekend in Jersey. Smack located on the Infamous Little India-oak Tree road. This venue is great - located in a small shopping area. It had a basic fast food setup - with menu of appetizers, desserts, shakes that stole the show. I got to try quite a few dishes: (rating out of 5 stars) Dahi puri***** (the flavour on this dish was great, right amounts of yogurt, chutney and tamarind on each bite - comes as a plate of 9); Samosa chaat** (I wasn't crazy about this dish - lacked creativity- samosa on a plate with toppings= grub); paneer quesidilla ***** (my mind was on fireworks! Paneer anything is amazing but this was a great lunch alternative - with mozzarella and feta like notes, sprinkled with corn, onion,tomatoes- and sour cream- amazingly filling)! Drinks - the mango milkshake***a sweetened version of a vanilla ice cream mango lassi- complimented nicely with the spicy array of dishes); sugar cane juice ***(refreshing - tasted le coconut water but sweeter) Paan- or the indian betel leaf holding sugary goodness is known to be a traditional digestive after meals. I had the kesar paan *** recommended by the staff -(stuffed with coconut and a bunch of sweet toppings)- I finished two! totally cooked down my stomach! Service was pretty fast - after ordering we were seated at a numbered table. We didn't get all our dishes served at once but we enjoyed it regardless. Take away is available as well and they did a great job packing up the food so if doesn't spill! Can't wait to discover more Indian finds on my next trip down. This is a definite crowd pleaser!

This rating is just for the paan. We've tried the chocolate paan, fruit paan, Calcutta paan and the ice cream paan. Simply awesome for a paan place. Variety is the spice of life they say, and the choices are plenty. Flavors are authentic and they don't skimp with the gulkand or the other ingredients and create some interesting paan flavors with mixed fruits or chocolate. Th ice cream paan is by far the best followed by Calcutta paan. The fruit and chocolate paan was extra sweet for my taste but it may interest some others. The place is clean and nicely organized unlike a typical paan shop. Place your paan order ahead of time and pick it up so you don't have to wait.

I saw the unassuming NY Fried Chicken and walked in. It's halal and the menu is essentially fried chicken, chicken over rice, and burgers. I went with the three piece chicken only and was impressed. First thing one notices is the great service and the respect. Not an ounce of bad attitude here. This was the standard years ago, but stands out today and deserves attention for how rare it is to experience these days. I ordered just the fried chicken: breast, thigh and drumstick. I asked for crispy and spicy and he said they only have regular. I ate it after about thirty minutes and it was still very crispy, audibly crispy. I don't know if they double fry it, but it seems so. It's crispy outside and juicy inside, even the breast was not dried up. The only quibble was the batter is not seasoned in conformity with your expectations. It's different and still good. The hot sauce they give you is also not what you would want, but your favorite sauce would put this chicken over the top. New York Fried Chicken is fairly priced. The three piece will run you seven bucks and reasonable in these inflationary times. It's a clean restaurant and mainly takeout. A table runs across the front of the restaurant. New York Fried Chicken is great and I would happily return. 3.9 stars!
