This place is something different from your average Vietnamese restaurant. First, they do not serve pho soup. They only serve a similar type of rice noodle soup which is just as good, but different. The prices are extremely low compared to other Vietnamese restaurants that I have been to (summer rolls are only $4.50!). I was surrounded by native Vietnamese people so I know it must be the real deal LOL . I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

No easy get the mixed pork organs congee in east coast. It totally scratches the itch of the memory of the food from Vietnam traveling. A lot of special items that use you couldn't get from other Vietnamese restaurant. This is such a good place to explore a little bit more than your ordinary selection of Vietnamese food. They do have their selection of Vietnamese sandwich's in a very good price. Service is fast and it's perfect place for takeout.

It's been a very long time since I've been here to get banh mi and I'm so happy to be back! Came here after running errands around this area and decided to stop in and ordered a chicken banh mi and 2 beef banh mi. Honestly wish I ordered more but I'll go back again soon. Service was very fast, ordered and it was ready within less than 10 minutes. Place is clean and it looks exactly the same as before and it's been like 10+ years since I've been here. Highly recommend this place!

Clear noodle soup and bun mam.

It's about the food. The price is good considering how much other Vietnamese restaurants. I usually get the Bahn Mi and Bun Mam and my wife usually gets the clear noodle soup dish. They also have a lot of other dishes on their menu and they have some other appetizer items by the cashier like baos. For me it is worth coming here.

HAIR in tendon of beef noodle soup

Poor customer service and FOUND HAIR IN MY FOOD I came in to eat at 4:10pm. The waiter came over and I ordered a bahn mi sandwich. Then he came over again to take my main course and told me the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. Google map and yelp states they are open until 7pm, so why would the kitchen be closing at 4:20pm? He also should inform me of that before seating me or taking my first order. When I got my beef noodle soup, I SAW HAIR IN THE TENDON. I called another waiter over and showed him. He stood there quiet trying to figure out what it was. Then he said "it is probably the twine that we use to cut the tendon" and walked away. If it is the "twine", then am I supposed to eat that? He did not offer me another bowl or say sorry. I called him over and told him this was not acceptable and asked for them to comp the noodle dish. The entire time he kept sighing and looked mad, as if I was annoying him. I went here one other time before and FOUND A HAIR (single long strand) in my bahn mi sandwich. Despite that, I still wanted to give this place another try. Also, the bahn mi really is average. There are better bahn mi sandwiches at other places. Not sure why people are raving about it in the other reviews besides the fact that it's slightly cheaper here compared to other places. Also there's a $15 minimum for card. NEVER COMING BACK.

Best Banh Mi sandwich in Philly. I have been buying them for years. It was $2.50 around 20 years ago and now is up to $5.

This hidden gem is a staple to the neighborhood. In the mornings, y'all see many people coming in for a quick grab and go breakfast, snack, or lunch for work! Cafe Saigon has amazing banh mi where the baguette is toasted and the fillings are so fresh! Service is always quick! This is a spot you go for a quick bite or just to get a meal to go!

Have been eating here for probably 4-5 years now at this point. Broths consistently on point, great portions, tender meats, fair price, and viet snacks at the counter to take to work for lunch! I have yet to be disappointed here. Our go to orders are Roast Pork Egg Noodle soup (add a wonton of course), Hu Tieu Mi Tho (minus squid), and Hu Tieu Ga. All amazing every time

The food is always great at this place is definitely a local find. The soups though are off the hook amazing the broth they use for all their wonton/egg noodle soups are consistently the best I've had at the most reasonable prices. All there prices are beyond reasonable they are understandably going up because of COVID but still well worth it. The BBQ pork banh mi (sub) is always a treat. They could of let me pee when I was picking up but I guess I understand covid and all.

One of my fave go-to places for Vietnamese food is Cafe Saigon! Got the marinated grilled pork vermicelli with a crunchy egg roll. This dish is topped with fresh herbs, pickled vegetables, and crushed peanuts that's served with a side of fish sauce. We call this delicious colorful bowl bún thịt nướng chả giò.

I thoroughly enjoyed the different kinds if Banh Mi. The beef version was better than the cheesesteak joints around the area.

Got the ice coffee from here and it's really good. What sucks about this is that 50-60% is ice. Otherwise it's pretty legit!

The biggest surprise was the tái (eye-round steak), yet still retaining that pleasantly chewy texture of undercooked beef; the gầu (fat brisket) was thick and crisp, fragrant but not greasy--who would have thought I'd find brisket fat here? This showed the restaurant's precise control over the broth temperature and the thickness of the beef. Almost all phở restaurants claim to offer authentic raw beef or various cuts of beef, but very few can truly make customers feel the difference. The restaurant's decor is simple but spacious and clean; the service is average, but very efficient. Efficiency is essential for phở, otherwise the beef would be overcooked in the hot broth. After all, the essence of a restaurant is food, and for such affordable ones, it's gratifying to see them spend most of their costs on the food itself.
