Finished ortho visit early that morning, so parked my car in the Aroma parking lot (the cafe is part of the building) and walked over to grab some breakfast/coffee. Felt like Alice Through the Looking Glass as soon as I stepped through the door. The noisy, busy streets of LA transformed into a world of Vivaldi, beautiful floral arrangements, and U-shaped booths made of soft, velvety material (felt like sitting against one of those velvet teddy bears). With giant booths and the long wooden table to the right of entrance, place seems great for meetings/group study. Ordered the Egg Salad Sandwich+House Coffee ($5.95) from the Breakfast Sandwich Special (served 7:00-11:00AM). The sandwich was ok, nothing so special it is worth $6. But with the free wifi and 3 hours parking w/validation, I guess the price must be paid with overpriced food. Will be back though if in need of quiet sanctuary of free parking and wifi. read more

It's actually a beautiful flower shop + cafe. They have a wonderful Rose tea. The pot itself is very interesting. You pick up the pot and press it down on the top of your cup to release the tea. It's a very cool "oOooOoh" moment. Not a great selection on cakes. But I did try their Kabocha Rice Cake dish. Not bad at all. I went here with friends in search for a new cafe in Ktown. Although outside did not look as lovely, inside was definitely cute & I loved the atmosphere as soon we I walked in! There was actually 2 parts to this place: 1st one being strictly cafe & the 2nd one being flower shop + cafe. I think 2nd part was actually cuter but there was no seats left so we resorted to 1st part by the comfortable sofas. I also liked that there were big tables for people to come study/work. Since they didn't have a bell, it was somewhat hard to get the servers' attention, especially because we were there somewhat late at night & they were not very attentive. Overall, the menu was extensive & there were many items I was curious on trying but these are what we ordered: -PUMPKIN SHAVED ICE - The name already got my attention so after asking the server what they recommended between pumpkin shaved ice vs. shaved ice, I ended up ordering pumpkin shaved ice... The verdict? it was just mashed pumpkin salad + shaved ice + red bean + condensed milk..........so nothing special, but since it was definitely interesting & I think older generation or pumpkin lovers might really enjoy this! Do try it if you are curious! -Yuzu Slush - YUMMY! This was great! Yum Yum Yum!!! -Frozen yogurt with fruits - disappointed by the portions for the price... also, yogurt was too tarty but not creamy enough. CONS: Not a good place to study late night or weekends. It gets way too packed for all of that and the only table with outlets is the long bench at the back of the cafe. Wifi is spotty. Parking with validation is 25 cents for 3 hours. Music selection is horrible (top 40 to jazz to country, what gives?) PROS: Cute decor, good food, and you feel like you've stepped into a Korean drama because of the flower shop. Sandwich was good. Free refills on the house coffee. Cordless call buttons at each table. Located under a parking structure, this place from outside looks small, but its actually a two place in one... the left side is the cafe and the right side is a full restaurant. We sat outside and ordered our food... I went with cold sweet potato latte... it was little too thick and didn't really have a solid taste.... yes, you can taste the potato though :) They do validate your parking stub, if you end up parking in the structure.... i was in and out within little over an hour and didn't pay anything for the lot. FREE WI-FI! I've gone to Cafe Scent for about a year now. They've definitely improved on their service - the servers are much more attentive than before, and they're usually right on time with the seating/ordering/flagging down for attention. Give this cafe another try if you were turned off by the poor service before. Although it might be that I always sit in the high comfy booths, which is an area that gets a lot of waiter traffic...they seemed to be pretty bad in responding to the bell, however. I've tried so many different things at this cafe, but I must say I have found what works for me. The house coffee is surprisingly pretty good and comes with FREE REFILLS (yes!!!!) which makes the $5 price tag worth it. I always get this when I know I'm going to be sitting for a while - studying/working whatever. The waiters/waitresses have always been very good at refilling my drink (many times coming up and asking if I wanted a refill even before I asked) - which is another testimony to the improvement in their service. I also have discovered their honey bread. It is nommmmmy. Definitely get that! The waffle is pretty good as well, comes abundant with ice cream and fruits. I've also had their sandwiches, which are mediocre, although they seem to use fresh ingredients. I've also tried their korean dishes, which are better. Parking: They used to offer 3 hour free parking at the Aroma parking building structure, but then I went back about a week ago and it seems like the parking policy changed (again). But I think it's the building (Aroma)'s parking policy that keeps on fluctuating. Aroma has this strange 75c per transaction parking policy even if you get it validated???? And Scent offers this weird...deal where you pay Scent 25c and they just give you a stamp that lets you bypass the whole 75c thing (so you ultimately save 50c in the end). It's weird and in my opinion needlessly complicated but trust Scent and it'll be fine. You can also park on the streets, but I find that it's easier to just park at the structure, pay 25c and not worry about refilling the meter/moving the car after 2 hours/ etc etc. The decor, as other Yelpers already mentioned, is very nice. The whole place smells nice of flowers and coffee, and it's very romantic. They even offer this romantic package of meal + drink + dessert + flowers, which I haven't done myself, but it seems kind of cute for couples who want to celebrate that special day. Clean and nicely smelling bathrooms = always a plus! :) read more

The food is just so so, we ordered the pumpkin Ddokboki, Sweet Potato cake and the mixed fruit tea. Totally cost $37. That's so expensive!!!!! The slice of the cake was too small, and the fruit tea was too sour and simple. Not worth the money. Beautiful and unique place. We came for brunch and it's definitely a place you can stay and enjoy a nice meal. Difficult to find places where you feel comfortable and with a terrace outside and this one definitely gives it to you. The place is decorated with flowers and nice furniture. I needed something heavy. So I did. Typical Korean cafe style. Food, coffee, desert all at once. I loved the patio, but it was too chilly the day I visited so I sat inside. As I walked out, leaving the restaurant, few ladies were smoking.. I don't like to smell cigarettes when I eat!! I love hamburger steak - they had it and it was too pricey. If quality meets the standard, then it is not considered pricey, but it didn't. Pasta was very heavy, which I wanted, but impossible to finish... PICKLES!! why in the world are they putting cinnamon spice in it? Also they must put them in the little ramekins and keep them out side. It was all dried up. I have never seen dried pickles... Literally had to serve ourselves. Waited 20minutes, no employee came up and took our drink order. No menu was given, so I had to get up and ask for the damn menu myself. Then she took our drinks order and our food order. 20minutes came and no damn water came. So I had to look for the waitress again and ask if I can get myself water. She said she will bring it to us. After 50, minutes our first pizza order came. Guess what, no damn plates, and no damn plates were given. So I had to get up and literally get the damn plates ourselves and utensils. Food is okay but overpriced. service didn't change at all after following up everything. She was fast getting the receipt though when we asked. It felt like we were forgotten. We didn't make any scene nor rude to anybody but felt like we were ignored or forgotten after multiply attempt of getting noticed because we know they were busy or short staffed. One of my favorite cafe in Korea town. Atmosphere is so romantic, love their antique sofas. Tall sofa booths are so cozy and Antique sofas are romantic for couples. The coffees are good and they have a flower arrangements there, if you are in need to order for future. They give you free petals of roses in small plastic bag. Such a treat when they have different colors of rose petals. Sprinkle them on your bed when you get home and the room smells beautiful. read more

Bad experience ever! We had a little baby shower there and the guy who was working so annoyed. He was rushing to get us out because 'he has to leave for his appointment!!', anyways, we complaint and his attitude was even worse. He said the bad word to us and while we were complaining, he said 'ahh so noisy, my ears are hurting.' What an attitude. A nice find when working K-Town and needing an hour to kill before my next appointment. While my intensions were to go to a Starbucks nearby, I happen to park in front of Cafe Scent. Looking in intrigued me, so I opted to try this place instead. Loved the interior decor as soon as I entered and settled into a nice spacious booth. This is one of those places where you need to ring a bell at your table for service and I found everyone really nice and friendly. Various breakfast, brunch and lunch items were my interest and I ended up ordering an egg salad sandwich which was nicely served on toasted bread in addition to a pretty decent cappuccino. I've been going to Cafe Mak nearby but really glad I found another cafe with great service, good food and beverages and a lot of character. read more
