I've dined in a couple times and had it delivered a couple times, and at the very least, I can say that they are consistent. A cute little cafe with small private booth and table. They have a flower shop in the back of the cafe. Overall a good Cafe, however I ordered a latte and it was a bit expensive at $8. The table next to me was an insurance salesman trying to sell life insurance and at the end of our stay another agent trying to sell. I guess this is where they conduct business. How come I never noticed this cafe before? The decor is beautiful, the drinks are good and the prices are moderate (by Ktown standards). I hear they even have free parking! We were walking the borrowed-dog and I was looking for a cafe with a nice outdoor seating area to relax for a while. When we passed Cafe Scent, I couldn't believe my luck. The interior is soothing, clean and cute and the outside seating areas are spacious with just the right amount of privacy. There are even heaters overhead if you get too cold. I got the Oreo Shake and he tried a Caramel Macchiato. We shared a slice of cheesecake. The shake was too sweet for me but other than that, it was fine. The Caramel Macchiato was SO GOOD! They definitely know what they're doing. The cheesecake was, you know, a slice of store-bought cake that tasted ok. Wished I had my mom with me in Cali. Perfect place for mother & daughter brunch day. My mom loves flowers, art, & coffee = Scent has all that element! We were there pretty early (@9) on Saturday morning. I was surprised to find good number of breakfast offerings. From simple bagel to black rice burritos & all meals included house coffee. Food was good - clean ~ my egg sandwich was interesting with hot mashed potatoes! I enjoyed it. Their lunch or the regular menu looked very interesting, got to come back and try those. Coffee - yeah...I like my coffee to be just plain coffee!! Not coffee that is kinda sorta like coffee tasting. Wanna taste & smell that good fresh ground. It was too weak, for my taste. Cafe Scent is a little pricey but it provides an ok spin on fusion cuisine. Placed a take-out order for 4 entrees and the total came out to $63. I can't imagine how expensive it would've been dining there and ordering drinks. The 4 dishes fed 4 people, with almost no left overs. We placed the order over the phone and they told unit would take 20 minutes. When we went to pick it up, we ended up waiting another 20 minutes at the cafe. It wasn't even busy; only two tables dining there. The best dish we had was the bacon and rice cake (ddok) in creamy sauce. It was a good spin on Alfredo sauce pasta, but with Korean rice cakes! The BBQ chicken pizza had about 8 slices and a thin crust, almost as if it were made on a tortilla. On the plus side, the pizza wasn't skimped on toppings, but on the down side the crust was so thin everything just fell apart. The spicy seafood spaghetti was just ok. It had a slight kick and lots of seafood. The Caesar salad wasn't special. It was similar to a Mc Donald's salad. In the ktown kdrama fantasy I've scripted for my boyfriend and myself, I come to meet him here on a sunny day and he's waiting for me with a bouquet of flowers and a green tea latte. We spend the rest of the day playing with cute puppies and then eat really good kbbq and finish the night at a korean spa. We go back to our fancy condo on Wilshire Blvd. and I dominate the world because I am the heiress to a megamillion company. Then my boyfriend loses his memory, I lose my fortune and I do everything it takes to regain what I've lost starting with getting a job at Cafe Scent arranging bouquets for Korean couples who are getting married... Ok, back to reality: I finished a depo in Koreatown a little early and needed to wait for my boyfriend to get off of work (he works in Koreatown). I opted to stop by Cafe Scent instead heading over to Starbucks. Hands down, I will always choose the $5 latte at Cafe Scent over the $5 machiatto at Starbucks. The ambiance at Cafe Scent cannot be beat (cute galore!). And, besides, you end up paying just as much at Starbucks for drinks. I was a little confused when I first entered. I just walked up to the cashier and put in my order for my drink. I paid and indicated that I would be having my drink at the store and sat down. I guess I could have just sat down and they would have served me. Slight language barrier and mild embarrassment from not knowing how to order aside, service was great. My green tea latte came with impressive foam art and it was almost too pretty to drink! The drink itself was sweet and flavorful - really no complaints. I took advantage of the free wi-fi on my iphone and just relaxed. Cute boy waiters, free wi-fi, cutesy/girly decor. I really tried to like this place - like reallllllly tried. I've been to Scent Coffee and Flowers every week for the past few months (I meet my tutor here) and this place disappoints me every time. There is plenty of street metered parking and there is also a parking lot right next door - so it's super simple. If you do park in the structure - they will validate and charge you 25 cents. Not bad - but considering the prices of this place - validation should be free. So there is nothing on this menu that is amazing yet the prices would lead you to expect more from the food. I've had the pumpkin salad which was so dry (both times that I ordered it) it was like eating cardboard. You will need to ask for more water to get this down. I've also ordered sandwhiches from their menu - I think I've ordered every type and they are just ok - but they do give you a small side salad. As far as drinks are concerned, this is where I'm beyond over this place. They charge $6 for green tea or a cappacino... Really??? $6 - why? It's not organic or a specialty thing - I can't figure out why it's so expensive. And my breaking point is the staff. There is a super nice guy that ALWAYS helps our table, his english is so-so but he is super helpful. The other staff and I mean EVERY OTHER PERSON WHO WORKS HERE is rude. I almost want to ask if they pool tips or if he gets to keep them - because I want to tip him and ignore the others. Oh and they do NOT accept American Express - only Visa and MasterCard. I should have left this review long ago, but I shall do it now. Since you can't give negative stars, I wish I could at least give 0. I have never had a worst experience anyplace, ever. My friends and I used to come here ALL the time. It was our 'go-to' spot post-high school, when our class schedules were crazy, when we all got jobs with slightly-saner schedules, when we would text out of the blue to see if we were free to hang out, where we gossiped and caught up on stuff. Where our friend told us she was getting married. This is where my story starts. A couple of months ago, we all got together so she could tell us everything. We had had a previous bad experience where the service wasn't great and we were 'reminded' to leave tip (which we of course were going to do; we just needed change or we were leaving it on our cards). We let it go, though, and went back. Mostly out of habit, I think. The last time we were here, once again, we didn't get great service. Our orders were a little screwed up, in addition to the lengthy time it took to even get them, the server hardly came around, though he did offer to fix our order, so I'll give him that. However, after that, it was like we didn't exist. We were not happy, but it wasn't a huge deal. Until they made it a big deal. We were paying up front when, for the SECOND time, we are 'reminded' to leave a tip. Who DOES that?! We were pissed. We paid. We left. You would think that would be that. No, then the server follows us to ask why we were so dissatisfied. He wasn't a horrible server, by any means. He wasn't rude or mean. Until he followed us OUTSIDE when we were already leaving and pretty much demanded we explain why we left him a low tip. To be frank, it wasn't so much his fault as it was the person in the front that night and the previous time we went, that thought it would be a good idea to 'remind' us to tip. But when he followed us, I'm glad we didn't leave him much because WOW. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a place in my life. My friends tried to explain to him what we didn't like (above) and he kept insisting there had to be more than that. We're not picky people. When we go to places, all we expect is good service, great food, and a place to hang out. We aren't even demanding. Once we have our food/drinks, we sit around and chat, very rarely asking for anything more unless we get dessert. Most servers just pass by to ask if we need anything and most of the time it's just refill sand in most places, the server notices right away and offers it. We didn't get that. But that was fine. We didn't need much (except maybe a couple of refills). Until he followed us. I will never be over that. It was ridiculous, unnecessary, and highly uncomfortable. After almost ten minutes of standing around in the middle of the street, trying to explain again and again to a person who was not listening, I had to walk away because I was PISSED and did not want to get bitchy. It takes a lot to rile up my nasty temper and that did it. Thankfully, I walked away because a lovely night with what is the happiest news our group has had left me so pissed and that made me angrier. The one good thing? The food, I'll give them that. Following Vanessa N.'s review, going into this cafe, I felt like I was walking into a K-Drama, where a friend and I were just sitting around talking about life and boys, and how much we hate our boyfriends, then suddenly, a hot Korean boy come into the cafe, looking around for a doctor because his friend just got into a car accident and is bleeding pretty badly. My friend burst out of the cafe, looks around the area and sees that a guy outside, bleeding to death. All four of us rush to the hospital, the guy makes it out okay, my friend marries this guy.. YEAH, but back to reality. Getting there was slightly confusing, since I didn't know where EXACTLY the cafe was, and I didn't realized that it was on a side street, instead of on the main street of Wilshire. At first, I pulled into the Ralphs parking lot, but realized that I didn't see the cafe, and circled around and found the place and noticed that there was a parking structure right next to the cafe. (Next time, park THERE.) Food was a little on the small portion - pricey side, but the plates did a little different from what I'm used to having cafes. I originally wanted the hamburger and roasted potatoes, but sadly they ran out of hamburger meat, so I opted out for the Seafood salad plate, while my other friends got the Spicy Fried Rice, with no spicy, and the Seafood Pasta. Yeah, kind of made me regret not getting anything more dense. Atmosphere was REALLY cute, having the little flower shop, and the booths that had benches that looks like that came out of a nice garden, and the cute flower shop right near us. As service my bell broke and we had to yell for servers and even then they went to the table behind us or across from us... They walked really close by and they still just went past our calling... My nephew kept saying no tip! But I left 20%. It's just against my belief to not leave tip. Oh, they also charged 35 cent for parking. For those who need a place to study and have a drink I would highly recommend Cafe Scent. First of all, they validate for three hours but if that's not enough you can always go upstairs to Aroma Spa & Sports and ask for them to validate(they validate upto 5 hours for free). Second, most of their drinks on the menu aren't too sweet and delicious. Third, they have special packages such as buy a boquet of flowers + pasta for $50ish. They offer plenty of different specials on certain days so always ask the workers before buying the flowers. As for the food, I really love their spicy rice cakes (dukbokgi) and pasta. I've tried almost everything and I haven't been disappointed yet. Everything's always fresh and delicious. Lastly, service can be a bit slow since there's only two workers. Second night= Cold milk tea, Pomegranite Yogurt smoothie, honey bread ~$21 Peach tea= DELICIOUS perfect sweet / sour/ lemony/ peachy deliciousness. Located on the side of the Aroma Wilshire Center by the parking garage (accessible by outside the building, not in- if that makes any sense), Cafe Scent is the perfect cafe to go to with your girlfriends. The floral decor, the wooden accents, and the lighting come together to create a lovely, romantic atmosphere. The food menu is diverse with sushi, pasta, Korean snack food, waffles, dessert, and other options; the drink menu is just the same with smoothie, pat bing soo, coffee, and tea options. The food was better than I expected! My friend and I ordered: Seafood Spicy Rice Cake (Haemul Ddukbokki): Oval rice cakes in a spicy (yet sweet) red pepper paste sauce mixed with a variety of seafood (mussels, shrimp, & calamari), topped with cheese, and served with 4 large pieces of kabocha squash. Spicy Tuna Roll: Standard spicy tuna roll, but topped with a generous amount of smelt eggs. Peach Yogurt Smoothie: Sweet and peachy; if you're into the flavor of peach yogurt, then get this. Pat Bing Soo (Cup): Don't be fooled by the word "cup" as the cup is actually quite huge! Fresh fruit, mochi, red bean, ice cream, shaved ice, milk, and nuts- what's not to like? Service was okay. Relatively cute cafe that the girlfriends and I chose to go to on our Sunday coffee dates. Best thing about it? They have SOY milk :) One big gripe I have about Korean cafes... well after the fact that they're pretty overpriced... is that they don't offer soy. So I was beyond thrilled when I called in to make sure they did. Had they not, I would've strolled in with a Starbucks coffee in hand. Anyhow, decor-wise, the place is pretty clean and modern and a good place for people to study. But it's true... make sure you bring headphones if you're easily distracted because the K-pop music is pretty deafening. They did a decent job in terms of service but my coffee came out cold. My favorite cafe in LA to have a cup of hot "mint tea." Though the tea is sweetened, it reminds me of the refreshing taste of the authentic middle-eastern tea. Their "honey bread" is really to die for. Though it is a simple dish (a toasted giant loaf of bread topped with condensed milk, ice-cream and fruits), but it is SOOO addictive! It may be too large for one person, so I usually share it with friends. What a romantic cafe to take a date to. It's too bad that I came here with my guy friend who prob doesn't fancy places with great interior design like I do haha. I didn't try out their food items here but the coffee and black tea I ordered here was always consistent with quality. I really like how this cafe has these beautiful lights lined up which accents the awesome, modern layout of the cafe. If you know me, I'm the type to really dig nice environments, more so than the food or drinks. In the first part of the cafe, there are love seats and cushioned seating for more comfort. Unfortunately, whenever I come to this cafe, people are always sitting in this section so I usually sit in the back but the cafe is still beautiful all around. A couple of girls and I stopped in to relax and have some coffee/tea and the inside of this place is gorgeous! It's a flower and cafe so there's flowers everywhere. Girly, cute, clean. Everything a girl loves. I got a blossom tea, and I expected a huge flower but it came with little twig like branches instead and tasted like jasmine tea. Oh well, yums anyways. It was Sunday right before Finals. Tully's closed on us, and we were driving up and down Wilshire to find a place still open to study. We stopped in front of Starbucks, hoping to leech WiFi to get on Yelp, but it was raining too hard. We had resolved to go to McCafe, and pulled up the street. Scent just popped outta nowhere! It was, like, magical. We were discouraged that there would be seating, but decided to give it a shot and go inside. I personally felt a little out of place because I don't hang out in KTown often, but it was nice! We sat down and pulled out our laptops. I took a look at the drinks list, and thought that it was super overpriced. $5.95 for a cup of Peach Sweet Tea! I got it anyway. It was REALLY GOOD. For a cafe located inside a busy city, has a great parking structure behind where they give you free parking validation for all the customers. Enough about parking, this place has gorgeous interior where you feel comfy. Especially during the evening hours the lights are dimmed enough to make the enviornment very cozy and moody. They have in-house florist who does all kinds of services and also have decorated this whole place with flower works. I haven't tried any hot drinks but quite a few cold drinks, especially yogurt smoothies are awesome. This place is definitely worth stopping by when you're nearby K-town with easy parking access with free validation, great selections of drinks and easy meals. Scent is very new to town, but I think they're going to be here for a very long time. P.S. Met my mom here for a quick lunch. Korean mommas love this place because a) the cute venue and b) the 3 hours free parking with validation. That said, how are you gonna charge us 35 cents for the validation sticker and then TAX US for it too!?!! We're already paying premium process for your food. You so hard up that you want an extra dime and quarter? Really? Now, my yelp reviews are solely based on food, but seriously, this kind of shiesty bish is gonna get called out. We ordered their spicy rice cake with seafood and sweet pumpkin and the spicy seafood pasta in tomato sauce. Essentially, these 2 dishes have the same base ingredients: carbs, an assortment of seafood (identical by the way lol), mushrooms and onions. But man, I was impressed by the intense flavors! The rice cake dish had a few twists: sub out the traditional ddukboki rice cakes and add in ddukgook (gook=soup) rice cakes. They are flatter and thinner and I think they crisp up better than the traditional dduk. Then add in sweet, roasted kabocha squash. Perfect flavor, texture and heft to an otherwise carb-heavy, feel-super-full-right-now-but-starving-in-an-hour type of dish. Sauce was also atypical in that it's not the super spicy, super sweet, super red gochujang sauce. Think less spicy and not too sweet - like raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens omgg IDK IT'S JUST MAGIC AND DELICIOUS, OK?! The spicy seafood pasta in tomato sauce has great flavor too. Good tip is to let it sit for a few minutes to cool down (you can taste it better) and let the noodles soak up that sauce. I got my flowers for my wedding at Scent. Christina, the florist went above and beyond for us. I had a bad experience with another florist in Koreatown and was looking for a new florist with only a couple months left till the wedding. I explained my situation to Christina and she met with me on numerous occasions to figure out a way to work within my budget and come up with a design concept fit for my venue. She was very attentive and had a lot of creative input. Everyone at my wedding raved about how beautiful the flowers were and thought I spent a lot more than I actually did. My roommates were in need of wi-fi and a nice place to study after our lunch in koreatown, and so we decided to give Cafe Scent a try. The interior decoration is really cute! Deep U-shaped booths perfect for large groups wanting dessert, and a long table in the middle equipped with outlets for the studious. After taking in all the cute floral decorations and scrapbook menus I had a huge urge to go to Michael's and have an arts-and-crafts field day. My iced mocha was nothing special, and it took a long time for them to make (as well as my roommate's black coffee). It was also really strong, and that with the combination of the lights dimming after 6 PM made me develop an eyebrow twitch. GREAT. haha. My hot milk coffee was great, and the brick toast was delightful. I wish that I could eat that every night! Yum!

This place has some amazing food and drinks. I can't speak for everyone but my group had a great time. The fact that it doubles as a flower shop gives this place a very interesting ambiance. I had the tropical tea which was simply amazing. I don't typically like my hot teas sweet but every sip I had was just pure pleasure. I sampled my friends mojito and other drinks they were all pretty good. Wished I knew what I ordered from their food menu but I can' t remember. Maybe it was the korean version of pasta. Great dish to share with. Maybe i'm just over excited because they don't have these kind of tea shops in the San fernando valley, either way I would love to go back. The only downside I saw was the tea and other drinks being kind of pricey at $6 or $7 Plus they don't have those service buttons, every korean place has. read more

Came in one night to relax and have some tea and maybe a small bite to eat, we were seated outside(at our request) by the host, as we were walking there she notified one of the waiters about us. We were seated, given menus and that was when the waiting began. No one came out and took our drink orders or anything!! We waited and we waited AND we waited. Finally we just left. If my actual dinner had been lacking, I would give this place 1 star. I had the bacon pasta which was pretty good, creamy and savory. I also had the chicken salad which was just an ordinary salad, but it went well with the pasta. And then came dessert. My friend and I ordered a honey brick toast to our waitress and patiently waited for 15 minutes. Then 20, then 30. When it got to about 35 minutes, we called her over again and asked what was going on with our order. She went to go check on it, and came back and bluntly stated that she had forgotten to put the order in. Didn't even apologize. When my friend and i gave each other the "wtf" look, in a very rude tone, she said "do you wanna cancel or?" Like. Come on. No apology on behalf of your mistake and then you give us attitude about it? She eventually brought it out, and the bread was hard, tasteless, and seemed almost stale. Even if the food was decent, I am definitely never coming back here. Especially not for the prices. read more
