I've had so many disappointing Italian meals since I've been here over the past 10 years that I was pleasantly surprise to find this local gem. I'm vegetarian and my husband is B&R Texan. The pizza's are made with fresh mozzarella not grated parmensian cheese. The vegetables are fresh and crispy, the sauce is perfectly seasoned with herbs and spices and yes, fresh tomatoes are in there. The dough is New York style, not too thin or thick and to taste homemade. My husband loves the meat eaters pizza and often times he adds extra topping. We have been eating there regularly in the last six months and the food has been consistently Great! Yesterday I tried the sea bass and pasta dish. I ordered it to go. When I got home and open the container, the Chef had taken extra care to put the lemon, butter garlic sauce in a separate container (pippin hot). I poured it over the food when I got home. Not being from Texas, finding what I consider a good pizza is close to impossible. But I knew this was the place for me when the pizza came and I said to the waiter, "Yay, there's no cheddar!" And his response closed the deal. He said, "Cheddar? On pizza?" I have found my favorite pizza place. The server is kind and friendly. The restaurant is older, but clean. It seems family run. I really enjoyed my first visit to Roma's. We originally had two other restaurants in mind, but the wait times were far too long. A quick search for Italian spots nearby led us to Roma's Italian Bistro, which had great ratings and - most importantly- a reasonable wait. We decided to give it a try, and I am glad we did. The moment we walked in, the cozy, relaxed atmosphere stood out. The dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious, and our timing couldn't have been better-no wait at all on a Sunday around 12:36pm, just before the after-church rush. Since it was my first time, I asked our server for recommendations. He asked whether I liked spicy food (absolutely!), and suggested the Chicken Murphy. Excellent choice. The flavor, the heat, the overall balance- just ummm-ummm good. My friend ordered her go-to Chicken Parmigiana. She usually asks for extra sauce because many places skimp on it, but this dish comes with plenty. She shared she would not have requested the extra sauce at all. I absolutely loved the food! Always looking for places in Grand Prairie to meet up with some friends since it is the in between point for us. Came across this place in a Google search and it did not disappoint. I split the stuffed mushroom app with one of my friends and they were delicious. The sauce was SO good. I had the cannelloni as my entree but could only eat half. A really good sized portion for the price (which is always a great thing because...well...inflation ). My daughter ate the other half when she got home from work, and she loved it. She is demanding I take her there ASAP. The restaurant has a cute interior and super clean. Service was so friendly and personable. All three of the guys were really sweet and took great care of our table, especially Matt. So many things to unpack. The server was really nice but everyone seemed a bit overwhelmed and not prepared for this day despite only 3 tables being served with 2 servers. My wing appetizer was served almost raw inside with pink and had to be returned. I ordered the chicken Murphy and a side salad. The sauce and pasta was perfect but the chicken was inedible as it tasted like freezer burn. Also I ordered it sitting at a table and was presented with a bill. I asked why? And I told the young lady TWICE I'm sitting down eating I didn't ask for it to go. I was still presented with a to go plate despite it being several minutes prior to me correcting her. Still was not served on a plate or attempted to correct. The Ceaser dressing on the salad was sweet and horrible. Couldn't eat it. I also had a Yelp checkin couple for a free dessert that I presented at the beginning of my meal. She asked and the manager said they don't honor it but will allow me to do it this time. However when I ordered it at the end they said they wouldn't honor it because they couldn't put in the system as a free dessert. Unprofessional service and horrible food. Also, they up charge cash vs credit purchases. Is this not 2023? Yeah I can pay the 60 cents but that's a business expense that I shouldn't be upcharged for. read more

I ordered via DoorDash and had the lasagna, garlic bread, and the meatball sub. Both entrees arrived piping hot, although I did question the packaging of the sub. It was barely wrapped in foil but my husband didn't mind at all. The sub was toasty, cheesy, and quite filling. It maintained the crunch and wasn't drenched in sauce either. The lasagna noodles were perfectly al dente and although the sauce was a tad thin it was full of layers of meat and cheese and did not disappoint at all. The garlic bread was also tasty and reheated nicely in the air fryer. I'd like to try this place again and experience the chicken Parm and maybe a pizza. If you're used to Olive Garden or Carrabba's type Italian, I'd definitely give this place a try as it's a step up in authenticity and way more reasonably priced for the serving sizes. read more

Best decision to order the side salad as the first course to split between 2! Because my eggplant rolatini was fabulous, stuffed with ricotta & mozzarella, covered in a rich marinara sauce with even more mozzarella cheese. The rolatini dish was perfectly baked. Just delicious. Wonderful meal at Roma's. Arrived in town for work on a Sunday evening and almost no place was open. Walked into Roma's to a festive atmosphere as two tables were celebrating birthdays. Those celebrations coupled with the hustle and bustle of the wait staff made this place feel very lively for a Sunday evening. I found a spot at the bar and ordered the chicken in Grill vegetables with a side of fettuccine. Wait for my food was a little long, but given the large parties, coupled with the smaller parties at the two person tables scattered throughout the restaurant, it was understandable that the kitchen staff was very busy. When my food arrived the presentation was awesome (check out my photos). The hammer chicken (Roma's mimics their process with veal prep to get the chicken nice and tender) and al dente veggies were superb. The flavoring on both was impeccable. The fettuccini was nice and hot. All in all, a very good visit, and I would certainly come back if I found myself in town again. read more

I came for lunch with a large group after a volunteer event. Our server was lovely and said I made a good choice with the grilled chicken and vegetables. It was delicious. I recommended a party come here but no longer recommend this location. The review is one star due to my credit card number being stolen by the server who went online shopping on me. How do I know? The credit card is still at the restaurant in the care of the owner. I did not recall getting my credit card back after I paid the check. By the time we left, it was too late. I live more than an hour away. The charges were made after I left, but the owner dismissed my claim with other scenarios that made no sense. Lucky for me, online shopping is a dead giveaway. All were reported to the online shopping company, the local police, and my credit card fraud dept. It makes me sad... Be aware and careful these days. read more
