I ordered via grubhub and this was some of the worst Italian food I have had. Both items leaked because they stacked them on top of each other with a roll in between. There was no way they could lay flat. This was not the fault of the delivery driver but how they packed it. Pasta trio: The lasagna was chewy and undercooked. The fettuccine alfredo was flavorless. It tasted like thick cream and flour. The chicken parm was the only decent item. Baked Ziti: This was very bland as well but cooked well. The rolls were hard and tasted like 3 day old pizza dough. Being new to the area as tourists we decided to try a local establishment. Figured pizza/Italian is a pretty good chance that something will be for everyone. The server was friendly and courteous. I've been here a couple of times before Covid but it seems to not be the same. We walked in & I looked around trying to make eye contact w/the staff, after a couple of minutes of awkwardly standing there, a waitress told us we could sit anywhere. I ordered the Chicken Picatta, which was my favorite dish here, unfortunately, this time around, it was bland, no seasoning at all. My friend ordered the Lobster Ravioli & said it was good. Our salads were drowning in salad dressing. Our waitress asked if we wanted bread, but we were just about done w/our meal, so no point by then. They reopened again (about 6 months ago) under new management. I ordered online and got the pasta trio (lasagna, chicken parmigiana, fettuccini Alfredo). Also supposed to come with bread and side salad. I picked up my order and the lasagna and salad were missing (now that I think about it they didn't ask me what kind of dressing I wanted). I called the restaurant and the young woman who answered the phone said the cook said it's in there and sorry the salad was missing. They told me I could bring back but I'm at work now so I told her never mind and I hang up and check again and I find the lasagna and it's so small like 1 inch by like 2 inches. I didn't even notice it until I moved my chicken parm around. Omg!!!!! This place is to DIE for!!! I am giving them 4 stars for the long wait. However, the food was absolutely delicious. I went on a lunch break and had to rush. It's not close to the city but definitely a place I'd come back to for lunch again when I'm back on assignment for work. I got a to go order a second day while I was out there. Stopped in for a bite before heading over to the Verizon for a show. The restaurant is maybe a 10 minute drive away from Verizon. I was greeted promptly and told to sit wherever I liked. Upon asking about drink specials, I learned it is a BYOB restaurant. While I perused the menu, the waitress brought over some bread rolls - hot and soft - delish. Menus, olive oil etc. are on the table. I did ask for some balsamic to dip my bread in. There are several pizza and pasta options available. I opted for Angel Hair with a meat sauce. Came with a small house salad. The salad was good, nothing too exciting. My pasta came out shortly afterwards. Nice and hot! I wish they would have had fresh cheese but there was the parmesan in a jar on the table. Nice, big chunks of meat in the sauce. The waitress was pretty good about checking back to see how I was doing. For a casual dining restaurant, food versus price, it wasnt bad. read more

I went for lunch on a Monday. It was so tasty and relatively inexpensive. They had lunch choices for $6.99. I got the Alfredo pasta! It came with bread and a salad. In the area for business and craving Italian looked for some good looking reviews and I found Tuscany's. Over all the food was okay, I ordered the Pasta Trio to go. The trio includes Chicken Parm, Lasagna and Fettuccine Alfredo. Also came with a dinner roll and side salad. The Fettuccine was good, the Lasagna was good (wish there was more than a 2x2 slice) the Chicken parm however was awful. It was burnt to the bottom of the tin and was mostly breading with sauce and cheese melted on top. The rolls are great and salad was pretty basic but the lettuce was fresh. Not worth the 20 min drive but maybe dining in is better. Also those traveling like myself Tuscany is not located in the best area. read more

Pros: -taste was the same; delicious! -great price for the portion -must try the house vinaigrette dressing on the salad -very spacious Cons: -fried mushrooms were slightly disappointing due to the heavy breading on the outside - salad entree is not recommended compared to the side salads because they use spring mix in the entree version and the ice burg lettuce in the side salads. You can see that the spring mix has been sitting there since they're soggy I would come back to try other entrees. It has been a very positive experience the two times we came. read more

What a terrible experience. We used to come here a lot and I believe there has been an owner change and it's unfortunate. We ordered a to go order and upon arrival was told they didn't put in our order at all. So they tried to correct the issue and put in our order with a discount. We reordered and waited about an hour and change for the food at the restaurant. When we arrived home our order was completely wrong. Out of 4 entrees (2 of which were the same thing -- spaghetti bolognese) only 1 was correct. We called and the management had the audacity to ask if we knew what carbonara or bolognese was then wanted us to prove it. Then they said that they were busy and would put us on hold. Whaaat? I've eaten here several times and it has always been good. Last night met a friend at 7pm, we were looking forward to catching up and having dinner. First, took forever to get even our drinks. Young man said he was the only waiter. We were okay, no problem we understand. We wnt ahead and placed our dinner order. Waited more than 30 minutes when I noticed a table that had come in after us got their food. Young man started to walk by and I raised my hand. He stopped and I ask about our food. He was like, you haven't got your food? He came.back and said that kitchen was really backed up and short staffed. Stated it would.take a while longer for our food and he wouldn't charge us for our meal. He ask if we wanted to wait. We ask how long and was told.15 minutes. We agreed to wait. Then we were told 3 minutes. We were great! Food came out and we started to eat. Friend had linguini, I had calzone. I cut into my calzone and it wasn't but barely warm inside, cheese wasn't even melted. I waited a whole and then ask for a to go box. I told the waiter that the food wasn't cooked as it was barely warm inside. He asknif I wanted to let.kitchen know. I told him to let the manager know. He returned to say he wasn't going to charge for the calzone. We were like what? Brought check, we were charged for linguini. When I approached manager to let her know, she was rude and ask if we were asking for a FREE meal. I told her no, we were asking for what the waiter told us he was going to do. We had already paid and her response was very rude and dismissive. I really just wanted her to know 1) how the food was coming out of the kitchen, and 2) that the waiter was not honoring what he was telling the customers. So this is a pretty great little spot in Grand Prairie. Let me tell you.. the lunch specials are insane. A handful of delicious dishes (ziti bolognese anyone?) that come with a salad, roll, and a more than reasonable price tag. Plenty of parking in the back lot, plenty of tables, even during the lunch rush. The servers aren't in-your-face friendly, but they are courteous and efficient.. that's all I really need. Great place to find good food for a cheap price! I always go for the spaghetti and meat sauce lunch special, which comes with two rolls of bread and salad (just lettuce and a slice of tomato) with your choice of dressing. It could easily be split into two meals if you're not that hungry! The pizza slices are huge and two could easily fill you up if not more. If you call in advance, it takes about ten minutes for them to get your order ready. If you're dining in, just take a seat and a waitress will come to take your order. Once you're done, just go up to the counter and they'll ring you up so you can pay. They offer Coke products and usually have a daily Italian special. There's parallel parking in the front or a parking lot in the back so you can't enter through the back entrance. Definitely worth your time to stop by! read more

My friend, her sister and I tried Tuscany's last night (04/14/2019) and it was magnificant. Not only are all orders cooked to order, but the quantity; authenticity; and pricing was fantastic. Dinner for the 3 of us and the tiramisu was only $40 AND there are enough leftovers for my 2 friends and I tonight. My friend had the lasagne; her sister had the fettucine alfredo; and I had the fettucine totomare. For dessert we split an order of home made tiramisu. That's my favorite dessert, but I've become a snob and only order when it's made at the restaurant vs store bought. I highly recommend you come try this is great Italian food is your thing. It has A-OK food and the service, well the staff is not friendly by any means but they arent completely rude so I guess in the middle. I just know that the wait staff isnt going to have any questions to ask me just to be friendly and start a conversation.....they want drink and food orders only! lol And dont make it to complicated! This is a big open room with a rustic feel. It is in the heart of downtown and after lunch you can sneak over to the Farmers Market if it isnt too late. You definitely get a feel for the culture here. Plenty of artifacts placed around. I felt closer to Italy. Customer Service 5/5: Everyone was nice from the time I was seated, to the time I asked for bathroom directions, to the time I closed my ticket at the register. Food 5/5: No complaints, I had the Stromboli with a salad (dressing: vinegar and oil). Price and Restaurant Style 3/5: I was charged for a side of lemons -_-. But my total was 10 even for Stromboli lunch special which comes with a salad (no substitution). I also ordered a Sprite. Restaurant Style well because there's no host and all the counter cashiers are waiters it got confusing FAST ! Environment: Family friendly, you'll feel closer to Italy, nice calm atmosphere during lunch, some areas are kinda dark which is nice Overall 21/25: My experience was 84% positive which is not bad. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had the lobster ravioli it is delicious. My mom had the lunch special with salad and two large pieces of pizza. It was more than she could eat. My wife failed to ask about the ingredients in an entrée and when it was served she realized it had an ingredient she was allergic to. I ordered a few things the chicken Alfredo pizza (I added mushrooms), Philly cheesesteak, chicken piccata and garlic cheese bread. Let me tell y'all the marinara is the best I've ever had! The chicken piccata had the right amount of lemon flavor to it where it wasn't overwhelming and didn't take any flavor away from the chicken and my husband absolutely loved the Philly cheesesteak we both had some slices of the pizza and honestly it was pretty good personally I like my pizzas a little more saucy but still delicious. The salad was fairly fresh and the pizza was good. The pizza was a bit greasy with the Alfredo sauce. I think if they added a vegetable to it, it'd be awesome! Follow up to my original post 3 months ago: Things are looking up at my favorite Italian place in GP. My original review sang high praise for the ziti bolognese entree but I was critical as to some other shortcomings in the restaurant. I'm pleased to say that on tonight's visit, things are looking up. Gone is the dirty mop smell I mentioned last time. Now music fills the air. My server has gotten much more attentive then on my past few visits too (same young lady each time). The menus still look very greasy but I have to say that the material they are made out of only exacerbates the situation. And of course the pizza and pasta were delicious! I tried this place on a whim and i was pleasantly surprised. I was scared because of some of the recent bad reviews but i think they may have been in a rush or were there on an off day? Not sure. But i was really surprised. I had a house salad which was ok, but its a house salad and im not here for salads. I ordered the angel hair pasta with meat sauce and it was delicious.
